As an American living in Egypt will have to agree with you Eddie, it is safer in Egypt than in America. I am the only American for miles .. If it was unsafe I certainly would not be here. If you come here and have dollars to spend you will do very well. The locals are suffering due to the devaluation of the LE. I can see not wanting to come because of the heat. But do not be concerned about safety.
I was in Egypt in October a week after Oct 7. It is safe in Egypt for tourists. There are two wars going on next to Egypt but you would not know because the borders are sealed. Still safe for tourists. I stress more about danger walking in Philadelphia where I live than in Egypt.

Egypt is super safe. Nothing has changed as of today. We're living life as normal, especially in the rural areas. However, on Oct 8, an Egyptian police officer shot two Israelis at a tourist site, along with their Egyptian tour guide in Alexandria, and one other Israeli was injured. In May, also in Alexandria, an Israeli-Canadian was shoot dead on the street in Alexandria, by a group called "Vanguards of Liberation" claiming responsibility for the attack as a reaction to Israel's military campaign in Gaza and its move to seize control of the Rafah crossing on Egypt's border with the enclave. Ziv Kipper, the deceased victim who lived in Egypt, was accused of working for Israeli intelligence. While it is relatively mild here, it's not without its incidents.
Yep I would say egypt is for the most part safe. But like you said not without it incidents.
