your the 644th video i have watched, and still nothing fits :ever. i should win a ginnis record for most tried to make a sewing block lol, 187 mockups. just when i think have it right i add sleeves and back to square 1 , its ok lol i have to laugh as this its now 21 years trying hahahahaha, thanks for attempting to help me understand. i just have to give up, im running out of videos to watch hahahaha, trouble is i was told is so many of these videos don't show or explain the nitty gritty details, Christipher channel is most helpful tho so far
I feel your pain because I was once like you and it was truly frustrating. Until I I realized what I was doing…I was hoping that I would gain the knowledge I desperately needed from a free source. After all they say you get what you “PAY” for! So I decided if “Pattern Drafting” was the way I wanted to go (to get custom sized clothing for my wife and myself instead of using traditional patterns 😢) I would need to obtain a great pattern drafting reference for men and women. After feedback from several people in FB sewing groups I belong to, I purchased Metric Pattern Cutting for Women’s Wear - 6th Edition and (used) Metric Pattern Cutting for Menswear - 5th Edition (paperback) both by Winifred Aldrich. Purchased from Amazon. I’m a person with ADHD so I have to be careful about the type of reference works I invest in. They need to throughly explain the point but in a visual, stimulating, easy to understand manner…one I won’t mind going back to if needed. These books do just that to my surprise…it’s why I say to you please don’t give up…pattern drafting is the future and it’s fun!
Thanks.

Thank you so much for this video.
How do you calculate the shoulder madam?
Shoulder is across back from one shoulder joining to the other. Arm hole depth × 2 can also be used to determine shoulder
