To cut the arc of a wall or tunnel I use a hole cutter and have a smooth hole in no time. I use a vairable size hole cutter. Use double stick tape to a piece of wood to hold the plastic. That's not brick but stone - random stone to be exact... You stated that it was "good enough". That would not go at our club at all...
