I used it the whole time without cover and back did not crack unlike the devices with glass back. My charging port became loose, that was a huge dissapointment for me.
I've had the phone for a week and really like it. No overheating or any other problems that people have been complaining about. Not really sure why there is all the hate, it's a solid phone. I do understand that $450 isn't a super low price, but I got the $300 trade in for my 3a plus Pixel Buds A series. So, it was a really good deal that made sense for me. Tensor is also a plus! Great phone.

I feel polycarbonate back is superior because glass back breaks easily,scratches are bearable but shattered glass is not.

I got pixel 6a yesterday, there's a lot of overheating all the time it's charging or in use.
Edit- the overheating didnt happen after update.
