Very BIG story to tell that’s for sure
This commercial came out right after I had a baby. I was chronically sleep deprived and this song GLUED TO MY MEMORY. All seconds of the day, this song repeated in my mind. I hate it so much, I will race across the room to turn off the tv the second it comes on.
Same, this and alegra annoying loud obnoxious singing girl who seems autistic, she has to wear headphones, signs at top of her voice

Impossible to forget? I try, believe me I try hard to forget all of Jardiance commercials.
As a Type II diabetic, I have a real problem seeing the first Jardiance commercial and believing she is “managing” her A1C as heavy as she is!

She's the kind of confident "pear shaped" woman that people find attractive nowadays
People forget a few things, or fail to realize them at all. For starters, Jardiance using a morbidly obese woman to sell their drug while morbid obesity is one of the main causes of diabetes is beyond irresponsible. Secondly, if she's NOT a diabetic, she's making money mocking this dreadful disease. On the flipside, if she IS diabetic, she should be promoting a healthy diet and exercise instead of being a pharmaceutical drug mule. The whole things is just unseemly.

Im sick of the commercial that the young girl crashes her car thru her house and everyone stays so calm and all eat pizza. This is one of the worst commercials on air. At least The Jardiance commercial has a fun tune.

I love the Jardiance lady on the first commercial. I wish they could have done a second commercial . Like a before and after commercial showing her losing some weight. That is if she truly uses this medication. It would have been a great motivation for women and men to eat better when they are diabetes. I LOVED YOUR ENERGY TOO. THIS IS ONE OF MY COMMERCIAL I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING

What is noticible to me in the new commercial is the fact that the focus away from the singing where it switches to something not at all related to the product... the mix up with 3 lunched, and the less than brilliant man trying to use a printer... it is meant to be a distraction while they inform us of the all of the potential life threatening, and discusting side effects... decieving but I am sure effective for a company trying to sell a product.

I think both commercials are great and I believe they just used a different woman on the second commercial to change up the type. It happens all the time in advertising. As an actress, singer and dancer myself, I'd love to be in a commercial that includes dancing and singing like these two do. It emulates a broadway musical and is much better than those irritating commercials that have nothing but annoying whistling going on in the background. I mute the sound on those. I always watch these two commercials though when they come on. Both women did a great job in their roles!

My friend who died from a horrible cancer a year ago danced and sang and acted in the school shows with me and seeing this commercial with Deana made me so, so, happy, such a bright light.

Advertisers do this alot where they put out more than one commercial for the product. They like to use different people in each commercial.
The new one is dull, most of the people are dressed in grey including the new girls pants . The main girl should have on the yellow pants to make her stand out from the others. You guys got it backwards. But I like the firat commercial better. It was a much better attention getter.

I never heard of her before the commercial but I LIKED HER. I couldnt understand all the back lash. The world immediately judges people. I have commented on commercials before, but mostly because they are bizzarre or whatever. But this lady doesnt bother me and I was shocked that people went after her.

NM folks, I found the answer in a piece where Sondheim supposedly dissects the lyrics (I thought he was dead before the commercials came out) and the words are "at each day's start". Makes perfect sense now, I guess. ;^)

I just wish that the people who do these medication commercials were actual users of the medication. If I am going to talk to my doctor about a specific medication that I saw in a television commercial it would be better if it came from a commercial that uses real people who actually use the medication and not some person who doesn’t even use the medicine.
Of course she's impossible to ignore. I don't know what is more obnoxious, her or the commercial. Do we need people dancing around singing about their diabetes?

I HATE this one. A morbidly obese person with Type2 should be concentrating on losing weight, not taking a magic pill.
Its the same singer in both commercials. And the actresses may not be the one singing anyway. The singing was obviously done in a sound studio.
The original lady was who sang the song. It’s still the same song but now it’s another lady lip-synching to the original.
Couldn't get to the remote fast enough to mute the new commercial. Not only did they change the woman. Looks like they found the only brother in advertising with no rhythm. Brown pants left side.

The new girl in the commercial isn’t as good as the original. Why did they change it. It will not be as popular and isn’t as catchy as the original. Now it’s just annoying. I agree loosing weight and diet are the best way to control diabetes however everyone doesn’t have the ability to do so. At best there is another choice for them. Get rid of the new commercial. You had a winner the first time around. Very attractive large woman looking extremely well and moving and dancing portraying how she is another life. Doing it well. Who wants to see someone at work? She’s enjoying work? Happy to be there because of her diabetic med? Everyone has to work regardless of their medical issues. Not what or where you want to be going. Enjoying life and who you are and accepting that life is great is much more inspiring.

Yeah, the new setting doesn't even make sense. In the first one, at least they portrayed rehearsing for a show. An office setting is stupid to me.
I've heard of people correcting type II diabetes using Golo for weight loss.

I did and both versions of first commercial and new commercial ALL say “I have Type 2 Diabetes “ first line!

Anyway I love the first lady, and it is a catchy jingle like other commercials/jingles we hear. And I agree with one of the comments of the original lady doing a before and after commercial, especially if the lady is diabetic and actually using the medication. Anyway....
they play it too much, and the setting seems so forced a commercial about behind the scenes of making a musical production, it dont flow as well as it could, and there are better dancers out there full bodied ones, not questioning her singing her dancing I think could be more polished

If they really want to sell more Jardiance drugs they should help her lose weight and then do a follow up commercial with her around 120 lbs and looking like a model. That would sell. But, in reality, diabetes is weight related. If they had a thin actress in the ad, nobody would believe it.

Both commercials suck!!!!! It's a medication and is shouldn't be portrayed by overweight people singing and dancing as if it's a miracle cure!!! Shame on you who are advertising it in this way!!! No wonder medications are so expensive!!! You have to pay for advertising and then make people who take the drug spend part of the medication cost because of your advertising!!!!! For shame!!!!!!

Bring back Deanna Colon, the first Jardianz dancer/singer/actress. She's far more memorable and better than Ginger. STOP. Put Ginger back on the island with Gilligan. Deanna has the 'goods". Unfortunately Ginger is forgettable.
