I live in a small city named Mandi Bahauddin between Lahore and Islamabad. In my city, an old Mandir is converted to a Church as there is not a signle Hindu lives here. But there are many christians. So point is, its not always about Hindu vs Muslim. It's about conservation of old monuments.

I’m from Lahore and I’ve never met any local Hindu here. I’ve got Hindu friends but they’re all in Sindh. One Hindu works in my Karachi office as well. Almost every Punjabi Hindu migrated to India at partition. In fact my grandfather’s best friend was a Hindu, they had a combined business as well but they migrated to India as well. My father’s neighbors were Hindus as well. They used to play together, they migrated too. I wish some Hindu Punjabis stayed back in Lahore. They were beautiful part of Lahore. Specially great people like Gunga Ram. We still respect that great man.

@ everyone knows about him in Lahore brother. He’s ours. Gunga Ram hospital is still named after him and its one of the biggest in Lahore. We don’t forget our best and he was the best of Lahore. His great granddaughter was here recently and she was feted by us. We’ll always remember and acknowledge the great man because the hospital and other philanthropic initiatives he did are still benefiting Lahoris. There’s also a Gulab Devi hospital built by a Hindu in memory of his mother and Diyal Singh college. We don’t rename these building in honor of them. Gunga Ram was and is ours. Ask his great granddaughter how we showed our gratitude and respect to her. Thank you.

Mostly, Pakistani Hindus are in Sindh and Karachi areas where there are many Hindu temples. In Punjab, there are some old temples, but no Hindus. One of the temples in Multan was converted into a madrasa because it’s not good to turn a temple into a hotel or let it be destroyed. That’s why they turned it into a school! Just think if someone buy Temple place and made bad place! Hindus need to understand that when people leave a place, the places of worship often remain empty. Before partition there are many temples in Pakistani Punjab, but after partition mostly Hindu migrated to India.But the temples are located in Punjab all left alone so there is no any Hindu left to take care of this Temples. So government of Pakistan / local people decide to convert this Temples into schools instead of destroying them.

Here in Faisalabad, there is also A Gurdwara which has been converted to school. It is situtated in Rail Bazar (one bazar around Clock Tower among 8 bazars)

The Hinglaj Mata Mandir in Balochistan State, located near Karachi, is a massive Tirth Sthaan. It is one among the 51 Shakti Peethas because when Vishnu used his Sudarshan Chakra to cut Sati's dead body into 51 pieces, Sati's skull bone fell at the place of Hinglaj. So this temple is really important, and it is always full with devotees. The purpose of writing such a long comment was to make it clear that wherever there is a Hindu community in Pakistan, temples are also well maintained. But in a place where there are no Hindus, the dilapidated state of the temples is understandable.

I am from Pakistan. 🇵🇰 Same job . 🛕 Sikh log zyada visit karte hain, isliye gurudware maintain hote hain. Hindu mandir kam visit hote hain, is wajah se unka maintenance mushkil hota hai. Government zyada visit par hi zyada resources lagati hai. Agar Hindu log bhi group bana kar visa apply karein aur mandiron ki yatra ke liye Pakistan aayein, to government mandir maintain karna shuru kar degi. Lekin iske liye unka visa aur acchi sankhya mein visit zaroori hai.
Umerkot, tharparkar , mithi are some of the places where Hindus are in majority and living peacefully and practicing their religion even cows are well protected

I am from Lahore I'm a Muslim and I have visited katas raj temple. Usually school trips are taken to that temple as its a world heritage site. I really wish that Indian Hindus visit these places on religious visa just like sikhs. I think Pakistani government is also pretty much OK with this!

I live in a small city named Mandi Bahauddin between Lahore and Islamabad.
In my city, an old Mandir is converted to a Church as there is not a signle Hindu lives here. But there are many christians.
So point is, its not always about Hindu vs Muslim. It's about conservation of old monuments.

I’m from Lahore and I’ve never met any local Hindu here. I’ve got Hindu friends but they’re all in Sindh. One Hindu works in my Karachi office as well. Almost every Punjabi Hindu migrated to India at partition. In fact my grandfather’s best friend was a Hindu, they had a combined business as well but they migrated to India as well. My father’s neighbors were Hindus as well. They used to play together, they migrated too. I wish some Hindu Punjabis stayed back in Lahore. They were beautiful part of Lahore. Specially great people like Gunga Ram. We still respect that great man.

His great granddaughter was here recently and she was feted by us. We’ll always remember and acknowledge the great man because the hospital and other philanthropic initiatives he did are still benefiting Lahoris. There’s also a Gulab Devi hospital built by a Hindu in memory of his mother and Diyal Singh college. We don’t rename these building in honor of them. Gunga Ram was and is ours. Ask his great granddaughter how we showed our gratitude and respect to her. Thank you.

Mostly, Pakistani Hindus are in Sindh and Karachi areas where there are many Hindu temples. In Punjab, there are some old temples, but no Hindus. One of the temples in Multan was converted into a madrasa because it’s not good to turn a temple into a hotel or let it be destroyed. That’s why they turned it into a school! Just think if someone buy Temple place and made bad place!
Hindus need to understand that when people leave a place, the places of worship often remain empty.
The same happened in Punjab, India, where some mosques were turned into gurdwaras or temples. 🕌➡🛕 There’s nothing wrong with it as long as the intent is respectful. 🙌

Before partition there are many temples in Pakistani Punjab, but after partition mostly Hindu migrated to India.But the temples are located in Punjab all left alone so there is no any Hindu left to take care of this Temples. So government of Pakistan / local people decide to convert this Temples into schools instead of destroying them.

The Hinglaj Mata Mandir in Balochistan State, located near Karachi, is a massive Tirth Sthaan. It is one among the 51 Shakti Peethas because when Vishnu used his Sudarshan Chakra to cut Sati's dead body into 51 pieces, Sati's skull bone fell at the place of Hinglaj. So this temple is really important, and it is always full with devotees.
The purpose of writing such a long comment was to make it clear that wherever there is a Hindu community in Pakistan, temples are also well maintained. But in a place where there are no Hindus, the dilapidated state of the temples is understandable.

I am from Lahore I'm a Muslim and I have visited katas raj temple. Usually school trips are taken to that temple as its a world heritage site. I really wish that Indian Hindus visit these places on religious visa just like sikhs. I think Pakistani government is also pretty much OK with this!
