Rin makes me so happy. She seems like the kinda person you can sit down next to and relax and joke with. Her art is so beautiful. I have never met her on my life but I would put all my trust in her
I made strawberries awhile back with my ohuhus and did it the same way, even the highlights. I used my white gel pen and the touched my finger to it and went over again with the marker and it was perfect!
@@drawingwiffwaffles edit: i just saw the references you used and i stand corrected, very corrected i just wanna let you know that you drew the blueberries backwards 😅 the little spikey part is where the stem is attached, so if it’s still on the stem it wouldn’t be visible. and also they grow on stems more like apples, more seperate, as opposed to how you made them kinda like grapes in a bunch
@@EmmaJohnsonShenanigans Maybe you were thinking of european blueberries- Vaccinium myrtillus? Those she's drawing are the big american blueberries you can buy in shops- Vaccinium corymbosum. They are from the same genus, but are separate species :) The small european ones I can pick in the forests here grow more separately indeed
i swear when i saw the thumbnail i thought that it was an actual photo of an apple and thought "surely she did not..." but yes, you did! its been so incredibly inspiring to watch you improve and grow as an artist over the years, i hope you continue to love to create, and thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey :) much love!
I was already amazed at how good it looked. And then I had to interrupt the video to do some other stuff. When I started watching again, everything looked even better! I saw the fruits more holistically rather than as the sum of all the steps I had just seen happening, and it made them POP! off the page!
oml this isn’t like your usual content, im so happy you stepped a little out of your comfort zone and tried something different than usual, this is what makes you so inspiring and interesting, you are the core of a lot of art i create you are inspiring !
Those copics man, such beautiful vibrant colours. And all this time I have been watching Rin I have never been more impressed with her colour picking abilities. Or maybe I am just niticing it now because she is making something that I actually paint - fruit. I painted frosted grapes next to a wine bottle on a barrel - one of my fave pieces ever, it had so much colour and texture going on. I also painted a bunch of hanging light bulbs with a totem of lemon and chillies people hang in some eastern countries to avoid the evil eye or something with a rainy backdrop. The rest of the fruit I mainly drew in my biology practical files along with different plants and veggies and cutsie animals and a bunch of critters.
I have greatly enjoyed watching you grow as an artist. There is something so soothing and healing about these videos. You're the reason I started drawing again. Thank you.
i swear lady there is nothing you cant draw. Everything you draw is awesome even if its like the first time you have ever drawn it, by the end you would never know that it was the first time you have ever drawn it..you seriously inspire me!
The more you draw orange things, the more it seems like you enjoy orange.. Rin & the colour orange, enemies to buddies? 👀 This gave me so much inspiration! I woke up this morning feeling like today was a special day, but couldn't figure out why..of course! Rin posts on Saturday. Saturday is now my favourite day of the week thanks to you!! ❤💖💗 Love ya, art buddy!
i just wanted to say thank you. you’ve really helped me over the last 2 years to find my style and explore new techniques. before quarantine, i was really struggling with my art, but watching you just helped me to figure out what i really wanted to draw, and how i wanted to do it. 💜never stop drawing
This art is amazing! Rin, I want to say thank you for always having captions on your videos. I always love it when channels do this, because I have hearing loss in one ear, and so I always have trouble understand videos, even if the volume is up all the way. So I want to say thank you to you and Amanda for your hard work to make a enjoyable video for all of us here :)
I had no internet for several days. I was starting to get nervous that i wouldn't watch your fun video on the same day it was posted. but i made it!!! :D
I got a new brush marker set as well, so watching this video, on you, doing your *amazing* art with brush markers, I was following your style and put it in my drawings of fruit!!! :D
That banana looks as though you can pick directly from the page; the leaves on the orange are beautifully executed, making that orange appear ripe for the taking. Great job!
Rin, I absolutely LOVE your videos, and you're drawings are unbelievable. A couple of days after I half watched you're video, I came back and thought you have cut them out from a photo :)
What you said about the orange "what you think it looks like" I think I heard referred to as post-realism. It's when you go past realism, to highlight the parts that we notice the most
these look absolutely fantastic!! especially the orange and the plum, they are my favourite if you will do a part 2, i think figs are Very fun to draw! the shape is really interesting, like a little bad, and the colour is just perfect for you - lots of purples!
Your nails are so cute!!! And love that they inspired your art! Looking forward to watching the rest of the video! You are so talented and a huge inspiration to my channel!! 💕 I’ve learned so much from just watching you do your thing 😊
You can do the blotting method with Poscas too! It's how I get variation in my highlghts, helps with shading and if after it dries, you want to dull it, you can scratch some of it off!
I just wanna say thanks so much for these videos !! You’ve inspired me to try marker art and different types of character design and your tips and tricks have made me so much better than I was before! Keep it up, you’re awesome!
SUPERB! Such yummy looking fruit. I've just started getting into eating fruit after many years. I love how focused the art is. Youi have such great patience.
Such a gorgeous spread! You never cease to amaze me, Rin! The way you work with alcohol markers is just mesmerizing. My favorite fruit is actually the first one you drew: the strawberry! But I've never tried drawing realistic ones before. I don't do a whole lot of realism, if I'm being honest. But this video kinda made me want to try that with colored pencils, haha!
Ooh what would be fun is using a random colour generator AND a random aesthetic generator and creating characters in 3 colours of that aesthetic. Mixing 2 ideas. Also these fruits are so cool! I like the banana because of the speckles!!! Been watching for about 3 years, love you so much!!!! X

I've been watching your videos for a while now, and I can't get over the fact how beautiful your drawings are. Idk. Markers, to me, were always a difficult medium, so to see such gorgeously drawn and rendered fruits is just beyond me. Thanks for sharing and going through the process with us! Also...I was actually making waffles while watching this. XD I didn't even realize until I started typing out this comment because I had to step away from them for a bit to do so.
there's something so aesthetically pleasing about well drawn fruit, so shiny so pretty? is pretty the correct word?
yes! i agree! and thank you!
