This is definitely Taylor's best song and vocals. How ironic that is was her last hit record, and it was not even a big hit (#50 on Billboard). I still have her Greatest Hits collection on cassette. Her voice can give people chills, and her records remain awesome!

This is the song that started my 29 year relationship that is still going strong today inn 2023. My mother had passed two years earlier and my life was out of control. I was sitting at home board on a Sunday evening .So I was listening to this song earlier that day .I went to the Detour a Gay bar that is no longer there in Silver Lake CA. for 80's night .I met someone that night that I went home with .The next day after he dropped me off .I was in love and so I went to the Beverly Center in West Hollywood and stopped at the Hallmark store and bought a card and took it to the The Broadway dept store where he worked and handed him the card ,And we have been together for 29 years .
After one year of being best friends, my best friend sat me down and said this song was for me from him. He picked me up and swung me around. The rest was history. We married soon after. This became our song. That was in December of 1998. Our fairytale journey ended in September 2010 when the love of my life died seven days after being diagnosed with liver cancer. I cherish the song and my husband infinitely. Life is too short. Embrace all those you love for we never know how many more breaths we promised.
when i first heard this song in 1993 i had the top down in my car and i was addicted as soon as i heard the song so i drove to Tower Records on Wilshire Blvd a few blocks away bought the CD and drove home from LA to Newport Beach hitting replay for 60 miles on PCH Pacific Coast Hwy My own broken heart now had words and a voice

I came across this song recently and now its one of my favorite love ballads. The lyrics are incredible. Taylor Dayne sure can belt out some tunes!
