Holy cow, if you want more personal stuff, listen to "Either Way." It is so relatable for a lot of people and the hurt in his voice ... it hurts to hear it. My favorite is the live performance on Charlie Rose.
Either Way is the song that made me check out Chris in the first place. He sang it on The Voice and I was hooked. Just went to my second Stapleton concert April 23, 2022 in Lexington, KY. The first one in Virginia he wasn't feeling too good and apologized but said he do his best, but my hubs who wasn't as familiar with him said, "If this is how sings when he is sick, what the hell does he sound like when he feels good?" We found out in Lexington. He was on FIRE!
Chris is that once in a lifetime talent that can hit you in the feels. You can't teach that. You either have it or you don't. Some can pull it off for maybe one or two songs but Chris does it every single time.
As I fell down the Chris Stapleton rabbit hole this song and Either Way quickly became two of my favorite ballads. The live version of this song on Kix Brooks Radio show is frickin awesome. He also wrote, among a jillion other songs that were hits for other artists, Your Man, which was a big hit for Josh Turner. I saw him do a live acoustic version on The Bobby Bones Show. He wrote it as a Valentines gift for his wife, Morganne. What a talent!!

Both videos are on UA-cam and are worth checking out.
I've left this on a couple other people's pages but I don't know if uve seen Chris Stapleton with the Steeldrivers bluegrass band before he was on his own. But they are amazing also
Enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work! Chris is what I'd refer to as a "Generational Talent." Stay safe - May wanna check out "Whiskey Sunrise" and some of his earlier stuff too with his band the "SteelDrivers" God Bless
Check out Nashville. It's also very relatable even though it sounds very specific. It's about things that were once good in your life that have turned toxic, and being strong enough to walk away from that situation.
this is a Cover. Original song is sung by Tim McGraw Back in like 06-07 (Chris wrote it though). Aaron Lewis Of Stain'd does a great cover of this too. I actually like his more than Chris or Tims

I love how he says “tries to hide me from my pain” rather than “hide the pain”.
I agree. Chris, how do you write down your feelings AND set them to music?! WHEW! I guess if we knew that, we'd all have 8 Grammys.
You are so correct...Vulnerable...that is the word...Chris is amazing

My favorite line from a song, I drink because I'm lonesome and I'm lonesome cause I drink.
True words from an alcoholic.
Same thing you could say about any addict

"I drink because I'm lonesome and I'm lonesome because I drink." Bro, who is cutting onions up in here?! 🥲
You MUST react to Daddy Doesn't Pray Anymore!!❤

Tim McGraw completely butchered the song - emotionless and boring. Glad Chris reclaimed it.
Check out Arkansas by Chris Stapleton. A great song.
Aaron Lewis does a really good version of this song also. You should check it out.
Да ладно! Он же даже в ноты не попадает! В чём прикол?
WTF?
