My cramps are so bad that they actually cause me to become dizzy, I lose feeling in my legs, and I throw up. They have always been this way since I started in middle school and I'm now in college. I'm so interested in trying out these tips!
Lately I've been getting dizzy/light headed from cramps too! And sometimes it makes me feel like gagging but I never actually throw up. Thankfully, because I can barley eat when I feel like this. Yours sound worse, did any of these tips help with those symptoms?

Same here.. This has got to be one of my worst ever and I'm 45... had so many that it's impossible to keep count. Ginger tea with cinnamon in it really helped me out this morning. Grate a piece of ginger into a cup of water, add some cinnamon, boil for about 6 minutes, let cool slightly and add some honey.... it truly reduces the agonizing pain. I hope everyone feels better...(((hugs to all)))

So I went to the nurse and told her I was having cramps. Instead of just giving me a midol or advil she decided to send me home. It kind of made me mad because she acted like she had no idea what I was talking about. Saying to my mother that I looked panicked. When I told her exactly what was wrong. But I was not complaining. I had a test later in the day that I did not study for.
I used to feel so much pain the I was troughing up, shivering and had troubles standing straight. This is what I did: 1. menstrual cup- I said no to any type of manufactured pads (I sew few myself in case I need them) because of massive levels of toxicity in them (and I never used tampons). As a bonus all my feminine infections disappeared. And I'm not even mentioning how less garbage I'm producing because of the cup 2. hot water bottle - it's my gem. I use it for every type of pain, menstrual cramps especially. It helps to relax and blood vessels so blood flow can go undisturbed. 3. hot healthy food- ramen or just vegetable soup is what I make then I feel "red moon" is coming. Easy to heat up, easy to eat and good for upset tummy. Remember girls, you need all the food you can eat during those days, we loose blood just like solders ;) 4. red tent - I know that not everyone can take day of but we must understand that our bodies (men as well) are not evolved to modern civilisation speed. We are design to lead slower and healthier life so all those diseases that plage humanity are just signals from Mother nature to step out of this rat race. If you can, make that day special, no added stress, read, sleep, watch netflix- but take care of yourself for Goddess and your own sake! XOXOX to all bloody madonnas out there ;)

When you wake up at 2:30 A.m feeling Cramps And you have to go to school. You lay in bed just trying to go to sleep but the pain consumes you making you feel dizzy. Next thing you know your alarm clock that was set to 8(Or whatever time you get up to get ready) Goes off and your mom comes into your room. She shakes you* Mom- Aye get up. You need to get ready for school. You groan, nod And glare at her as she began to walk out of the door. Then scream into your pillow. WHY ME?! After Breakfast that you clearly didn't eat, you go to school to see you friends laughing. They see a pissed expression and assume somethings wrong. Start to ask you a million questions but you walk away not wanting to snap. When you get to class, the teacher calls your name and you just want to scream- WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT?! LEAVE ME ALONE!!😭😭😭😒😒😖
So I actually don't get cramps on my period so I've never really known how it feels. But this time l, I'm getting very painful and uncomfortable cramps which I've never felt. But I was wondering if it's normal to also have a feeling of having to poop (sorry if tmi). Like not only am i getting nad cramps, but I really feel like I have to poop, except when I try, nothing happens at all, not the slightest feeling. I also ate alot last night so that may be a problem too. The point is, I've never never expirienced cramps on my period, and I don't know if what I'm feeling is menstural cramps, or just possibly constipation. Yes I know it sounds disgusting :(
KawaiiNeko 001 i also have that feeling on my period as well ahaha. Its just hormones affecting your bowels : ) a lot of people experience that. The cramps are probably something your just developing which is just the contractions that happen (im sorry you probably know this im done lol!) Periods affect every one differently and as long as your not in severe pain , thats how it affects you
I use a rice sock. I take one of my hubby's mateless socks and fill it halfway with raw rice, tie a knot. Microwave until warm and use alternately been belly and back.
See this is sad... I'm on the toilet because my mantrual pain is messing with my bio and making me have to poop.. Let's just say call the cops I'm stuck on this toilet dying

I watched this girl's video today, she was discussing how bad her cramps were and how she would throw up and be in an immense amount of pain, she said she drank cranberry juice every day while cutting out all dairy for a whole month. My period is coming next week and I'm going to do this along with taking the raspberry leaf tea I bought!
another tip: just try doing something that’d distracts you. it doesn’t have to be like going to the gym or anything just something little that will take your mind off it. it works for me
leilani xx good tip for mild symptoms. I got too sick to be distracted, just miserable and throwing up.. the throwing up was probably worse than the cramps!
Great tips Meghan! After changing my lifestyle to more natural and organic I noticed a huge difference in my periods. Maca helped a lot for me, but I would say be careful with that stuff if your new to maca, it can actually stop your period like it did to me or make you have two periods in a month, which also happened to me because I didn't use it properly haha lesson learned lol
Vitamin D3 works great for cramps. If you don’t take it daily, start it a few days before your period, and keep taking it daily in the morning until you feel cramps would be done. I only get them bad for the few 2 days, so I take D3 3 days prior, and 2 days during. Especially if you take Magnesium, D3 is needed. Magnesium will also help take away chocolate cravings.

One of my favorite things to do on periods is use aromatherapy and have a spa night with homemade bath salts have a essential oil blend for PMS in particular
Cinnamon and raw honey mixed together. I was told the mixture creates something that helps cramps. Don't go crazy with the honey though. Another trick- I make tea and put it in glass bottles, then also use the bottles as a hot water bottle for my stomach. Also good on cold nights to get your bed warm.

Hope this helps a few ladies who suffer. I have a large number of fibroids ( make sure that these are not behind your excessive pain!!!!) Next up those who are really rolling around on the floor ,being sick and feeling like hell please consider it may not just be your uterus which is cramping but your intestines as well. You will see many tell you to cut out milk and associated products I'm guessing that this stops intestinal cramping . You may be able to drink milk etc at other times of the month. Also do not get constipated this will also put pressure on your abdominal area try eating anything magnesium rich or try relaxing in magnesium salt baths. Next is to tackle those uterine spasms. I believe prostaglandins are partly behind the problem. Preventative action may help ladies who suffer every month , prostaglandin production may be increasing even when you don't cramp then they reach a point of no return and cramping becomes unbearable. At that point you regularly reach for the medicine cabinet. So if this is you try starting your preferred medicine two days before you cramp . A word of note though painkillers can sometimes cause constipation and have a word with your GP if you need to take painkillers regularly you may need a stomach protector. I believe pain at this level is out of control its no point me telling you to go for a walk , meditate etc your bodies are probably screaming by altered blood pressure sweating and explosive thoughts. I do hope though that a few things above will bring your pain level down then walking, meditating gentle stretching etc may be within your grasp. Take care.
Raw apple cider vinegar and raw honey mixed together and watered down. For a long time, I did a mixture of kombucha, pomegranate juice, and an apple cider vinegar & raw honey drink (16 oz each, 48 oz total), and drank a pint a day for the first three days of my period - hardly any cramps at all, and I didn't have to take any pain killers or use my heating pad even once; it made my flow a bit heavier and thinner, but it was well worth the trade-off, especially if I was home on my heavy day. I also noticed a major difference when I switched from tampons to a menstrual cup - the cramps gradually decreased starting the first day I used it.
For anyone saying that they suffer from really severe period cramps I highly recommend that all of you give the raspberry tea leaf a try. I used to be like all of you suffering from very strong period symptoms and this tea has been a total game changer for me.
I use all of these! I suffer from extreme cramps as well, to where they radiate in my thighs. I especially love putting maca in my smoothies, I have been doing it for years. I really love the Moon Cycle tea by Yogi, but I also use the raspberry leaf one as well. Great video! :)
I used to have bad cramps as well but excercising everyday at my terrace at night helped me a lot. Also reducing junk food and eating home cooked food will help everyone deal with cramps..
On my period I make sure to take two turmeric and two ginger capsules. I also take low dose iron right before, during and after (I’ve struggled with a ferritin deficiency, so it might not be needed for any of you). I drink a glass or two of lemon water during the day. Stretching feels good, too.
I'm on my period right now and it's horrible guys think it's so easy for us girls but they have never felt the pain that we have . Something that helps me that may help you is just putting heat on your stomach the pain goes away in like seconds if you don't have a heating pad just use hot water bottle you can put hot water from the sink drink tea it makes your stomach feel so much better and just lay down and relax untill the pain goes away we know this feeling and it's just horrible 😢
It’s true about magnesium and red raspberry leaf. I like to drink Raspberry leaf with nettle leaves, absolutely no pain! It works best if you start drinking this mixture before period starts. Whole raw flaxseeds are great, take 1 tablespoon with water. Also black strap molasses known to help with PMS.
I have not super bad, but bad stomach cramps. I sometimes will take a warm bath and it helps. I will sometimes eat spicy chocolate (sugar free) and it helps. I make it myself, and it helps with my period. I have given it to my friends before and it helped them a lot!
I really appreciate your video. I have looked up period hack videos or videos such as yours on how to deal with cramps.And I love how to the point and direct you are with your information. The handful of videos I have seen on this topic the girls on it are pre teens or teens that need to be so extra with their crazy club music and graphics. Before I watched your video, I was watching another period hack video and the girl just started to randomly dance out of nowhere.Stuff like that is a real turn off for me. One piece of advice I did take from you is drinking raspberry leaf tea. I recently ended just having my period and I can honestly say for the first time in a long time I did not experience a single cramp while drinking this tea. I guess it also helped that I started drinking this tea a week before my period started and I kept drinking it during my period.But thanks for this useful advice.

That’s how u know you have bad cramps if you searched and it got u here. Me for instance. I suffer from bad bad BAD cramps since the 6th grade. ( I’m 23 now ). Never found a solution. Went to the doctors and all they keep telling me is birth control birth control BIRTH CONTROL. But I said no because I feel like doctors try to push you into medications and stuff for any little thing. I just wanted to know if I’m getting these cramps normally. Finally changed care providers and one told me I’m one of the few who experiences muscle spasms. Not just regular cramps. He told me “ unfortunately your going to have to deal with it since you want to go about it the more natural way without medications” then I found this. Just bought this at the store. Walgreens ! For 14$. It taste a bit weird um like tea with no sugar lol but the smell is GREAT. Raspberry and lemon flavored :)
Acupressure I've heard can help. Pressing on certain acupuncture points such as LV3, LI4 etc for 60 seconds. Also an anti-inflammatory diet/ liver cleanse before your period.
I once ate some cake at school on my 3rd day of period because I thought it would be ok. I didn't get the cramp at first, but not so long after that, it's getting worse and worse and I was sent home 4 hours later. I thought I was gonna die there in the school's nurse office lol
At first I didn't have any cramps but now it hurts like hell ...I'm having a damn horrible cramps right now ..and I even feel so dizzy and lose balance of my body when I try to walk. I tried everything but nothing worked ,so I'm just laying and using my cat as a hot pad !
Thank you, Meghan! I have tried raspberry leaf tea before but I always waited until I had cramps, this does not work! I did what you said and actually drank 1-4 cups daily a week prior to the period, also eliminated milk and had dairy more sparingly. My period was so much better, it was tolerable! I don't think this is a coincidence because they are consistently unbearable and I did not take an NSAID this time as my goal is to stop that.

3 minutes after my pain is gone, I completely forget how the pain felt like. Tea and sleep would work perfectly for me when I was a bit younger. Now that I'm 20 I rely on pills (ibuprofen or paracetamol). And the cramps are horrible because I'm forced to do all the house work by morning and it gets really hot in Mozambique (Africa).

Man I used to have the worst periods too and the cramps were so bad that I almost thought I was going into labor.
I also came back home from school because of cramps and had to take leave the next month 😔

I've noticed that eliminating sugar at least 7 days before my cycle helps a lot. Drinking plenty of water is helpful as well.

its totally normal to feel that way. feeling bloated, nauseous, miserable, shaky, cold, etc. is what happens for people with really bad cramps

Add some lavender essential oils to it, it helps relax all of your senses. (I have one that I made too, the lavender is such a nice touch.)

taking a hot bath WILL get rid of cramps that's my number one when I'm cramping

I watched this girl's video today, she was discussing how bad her cramps were and how she would throw up and be in an immense amount of pain, she said she drank cranberry juice every day while cutting out all dairy for a whole month. My period is coming next week and I'm going to do this along with taking the raspberry leaf tea I bought!
another tip: just try doing something that’d distracts you. it doesn’t have to be like going to the gym or anything just something little that will take your mind off it. it works for me
leilani xx good tip for mild symptoms. I got too sick to be distracted, just miserable and throwing up.. the throwing up was probably worse than the cramps!

Great tips Meghan! After changing my lifestyle to more natural and organic I noticed a huge difference in my periods. Maca helped a lot for me, but I would say be careful with that stuff if your new to maca, it can actually stop your period like it did to me or make you have two periods in a month, which also happened to me because I didn't use it properly haha lesson learned lol

Vitamin D3 works great for cramps. If you don’t take it daily, start it a few days before your period, and keep taking it daily in the morning until you feel cramps would be done. I only get them bad for the few 2 days, so I take D3 3 days prior, and 2 days during. Especially if you take Magnesium, D3 is needed. Magnesium will also help take away chocolate cravings.

Suffering worse every month. This is torture and today is particularly. Started at age 11,now 23 . Yet to find a cure.Pray for me.
Cinnamon and raw honey mixed together. I was told the mixture creates something that helps cramps. Don't go crazy with the honey though. Another trick- I make tea and put it in glass bottles, then also use the bottles as a hot water bottle for my stomach. Also good on cold nights to get your bed warm.

Your tips are useful, but to use an hot water bottle only throughout period, during the pain, is not enough: it makes it more bearable, but it's better to prevent cramps.
The hot water bottle can be used following an easy progressive methodology: I'll try to help you, if you like.
I am a nurse and since 1970 I have been studying the severe menstrual pain and the methods to prevent the painful cramps:
I will can describe an easy method of progressive thermal stimulation to "prevent" the pain and not just to oppose it with some "remedy", time by time.
Have cramps is never "normal" and must be avoided!

Hope this helps a few ladies who suffer. I have a large number of fibroids ( make sure that these are not behind your excessive pain!!!!) Next up those who are really rolling around on the floor ,being sick and feeling like hell please consider it may not just be your uterus which is cramping but your intestines as well. You will see many tell you to cut out milk and associated products I'm guessing that this stops intestinal cramping . You may be able to drink milk etc at other times of the month. Also do not get constipated this will also put pressure on your abdominal area try eating anything magnesium rich or try relaxing in magnesium salt baths. Next is to tackle those uterine spasms. I believe prostaglandins are partly behind the problem. Preventative action may help ladies who suffer every month , prostaglandin production may be increasing even when you don't cramp then they reach a point of no return and cramping becomes unbearable. At that point you regularly reach for the medicine cabinet. So if this is you try starting your preferred medicine two days before you cramp . A word of note though painkillers can sometimes cause constipation and have a word with your GP if you need to take painkillers regularly you may need a stomach protector. I believe pain at this level is out of control its no point me telling you to go for a walk , meditate etc your bodies are probably screaming by altered blood pressure sweating and explosive thoughts. I do hope though that a few things above will bring your pain level down then walking, meditating gentle stretching etc may be within your grasp. Take care.

Raw apple cider vinegar and raw honey mixed together and watered down. For a long time, I did a mixture of kombucha, pomegranate juice, and an apple cider vinegar & raw honey drink (16 oz each, 48 oz total), and drank a pint a day for the first three days of my period - hardly any cramps at all, and I didn't have to take any pain killers or use my heating pad even once; it made my flow a bit heavier and thinner, but it was well worth the trade-off, especially if I was home on my heavy day. I also noticed a major difference when I switched from tampons to a menstrual cup - the cramps gradually decreased starting the first day I used it.
I'm having cramps with my stomach, leg pain, and a headache, life is great.
For anyone saying that they suffer from really severe period cramps I highly recommend that all of you give the raspberry tea leaf a try. I used to be like all of you suffering from very strong period symptoms and this tea has been a total game changer for me.

I use all of these! I suffer from extreme cramps as well, to where they radiate in my thighs. I especially love putting maca in my smoothies, I have been doing it for years. I really love the Moon Cycle tea by Yogi, but I also use the raspberry leaf one as well. Great video! :)

I used to have bad cramps as well but excercising everyday at my terrace at night helped me a lot. Also reducing junk food and eating home cooked food will help everyone deal with cramps..

On my period I make sure to take two turmeric and two ginger capsules. I also take low dose iron right before, during and after (I’ve struggled with a ferritin deficiency, so it might not be needed for any of you). I drink a glass or two of lemon water during the day. Stretching feels good, too.
Cinnamon tea not only helps with cramps, but helps with the blood flow too!

I'm on my period right now and it's horrible guys think it's so easy for us girls but they have never felt the pain that we have . Something that helps me that may help you is just putting heat on your stomach the pain goes away in like seconds if you don't have a heating pad just use hot water bottle you can put hot water from the sink drink tea it makes your stomach feel so much better and just lay down and relax untill the pain goes away we know this feeling and it's just horrible 😢
It’s true about magnesium and red raspberry leaf. I like to drink Raspberry leaf with nettle leaves, absolutely no pain! It works best if you start drinking this mixture before period starts. Whole raw flaxseeds are great, take 1 tablespoon with water. Also black strap molasses known to help with PMS.

I have not super bad, but bad stomach cramps. I sometimes will take a warm bath and it helps. I will sometimes eat spicy chocolate (sugar free) and it helps. I make it myself, and it helps with my period. I have given it to my friends before and it helped them a lot!

I really appreciate your video. I have looked up period hack videos or videos such as yours on how to deal with cramps.And I love how to the point and direct you are with your information. The handful of videos I have seen on this topic the girls on it are pre teens or teens that need to be so extra with their crazy club music and graphics. Before I watched your video, I was watching another period hack video and the girl just started to randomly dance out of nowhere.Stuff like that is a real turn off for me. One piece of advice I did take from you is drinking raspberry leaf tea. I recently ended just having my period and I can honestly say for the first time in a long time I did not experience a single cramp while drinking this tea. I guess it also helped that I started drinking this tea a week before my period started and I kept drinking it during my period.But thanks for this useful advice.

That’s how u know you have bad cramps if you searched and it got u here. Me for instance. I suffer from bad bad BAD cramps since the 6th grade. ( I’m 23 now ). Never found a solution. Went to the doctors and all they keep telling me is birth control birth control BIRTH CONTROL. But I said no because I feel like doctors try to push you into medications and stuff for any little thing. I just wanted to know if I’m getting these cramps normally. Finally changed care providers and one told me I’m one of the few who experiences muscle spasms. Not just regular cramps. He told me “ unfortunately your going to have to deal with it since you want to go about it the more natural way without medications” then I found this. Just bought this at the store. Walgreens ! For 14$. It taste a bit weird um like tea with no sugar lol but the smell is GREAT. Raspberry and lemon flavored :)
Acupressure I've heard can help. Pressing on certain acupuncture points such as LV3, LI4 etc for 60 seconds. Also an anti-inflammatory diet/ liver cleanse before your period.

I once ate some cake at school on my 3rd day of period because I thought it would be ok. I didn't get the cramp at first, but not so long after that, it's getting worse and worse and I was sent home 4 hours later. I thought I was gonna die there in the school's nurse office lol
At first I didn't have any cramps but now it hurts like hell ...I'm having a damn horrible cramps right now ..and I even feel so dizzy and lose balance of my body when I try to walk.

Thank you, Meghan! I have tried raspberry leaf tea before but I always waited until I had cramps, this does not work! I did what you said and actually drank 1-4 cups daily a week prior to the period, also eliminated milk and had dairy more sparingly. My period was so much better, it was tolerable! I don't think this is a coincidence because they are consistently unbearable and I did not take an NSAID this time as my goal is to stop that.
I always try to limit sugar and dairy intake a week before period but I always give in:(

I’m dying of pain literally right now
3 minutes after my pain is gone, I completely forget how the pain felt like. Tea and sleep would work perfectly for me when I was a bit younger. Now that I'm 20 I rely on pills (ibuprofen or paracetamol). And the cramps are horrible because I'm forced to do all the house work by morning and it gets really hot in Mozambique (Africa).
