Waar kan mens nog sulke fantastiese, ongepubliseerde songs van hom kry? Wow, hy was eenvoudig ongelooflik! En is daar enige iemand wat die dokumenter "Who killed Johannes Kerkorrel" hier op youtube kan opsit? Ek kan dit nerens kry nie. Enige voorstelle?
He was such a great artist. I regret never having seen him rocking on stage with the Gereformeerde Blues Band back in the late 80's, because that was Kerkorrel at his very best. And those other guys in the band, Jannie van Tonder, Willem Moller, Gary Herselman, were brilliant musos and such characters. But I did see a few shows of just Kerkorrel and his piano, and it was truly magic. His death is, to me, the most tragic in our local music world.
Great singer, unknown in Britain, fighter for South Africa, fairness and a better tomorrow, RIP
Jaco Beues... dankie mann!!
How can the live of such a man be ... so fogoten? makes me very very sad indeed.

A great cover of one of the best songs ever.Must admit, that I underestimated Johannes a bit.
