I feel bad for Purple Kelly and I don’t blame her for quitting. Production set her up to fail by giving her little to wear during the Nicaraguan rainy season. And to give Naonka the benefit of the doubt, I heard somewhere that she was anemic.
Naonka didn’t have much clothing either. She stated in an interview she had to tear clothing to make a scarf for herself. Both of them were recruits, so I don’t think they intended for either of them to last that long.

The double quit is definitely something else. I’ll never forget watching that
I'm gonna cut Purple Kelly some slack, she was only given a bikini and a sundress in Nicaragua's rainy season. She wasn't given a jacket, until Fabio let her. She was skinny and freezing the whole season.
She was expecting to be voted out first and get to go on the vacation

That’s why I want to see Flynn do Philippines! The only good season of the Dark Era and the best season to feature the legendary Jonathan Penner!
Looking forward for Flynn’s takes on the Dark Era seasons.

such an underrated season honestly, the quit doesn’t take away that much imo
That double quit was insane and still is to this day. NaOnka, with that said, was a great villain, but I wish she did not quit.

What’s crazy about this Seasons Winner, if Jeff decided not to let the two quitters sit on the jury, then Chase would have won since NaOnka and Kelly voted for Fabio!
Marty, Sash, Fabio, Chase and Holly should have returned for another season. Crazy only Brenda is still the only one who returned.

Id love to live in the reality where Holly wins. Women over 40 get treated terribly on Survivor.
I didn't like Chase very much. He came off as a dickhead here.
I honestly don't think this is THE absolute worst season of survivor. Not really that close actually. I would definitely put it somewhere above the bottom 5 out of the 23 seasons I've watched so far and I'm sure there are more bad seasons to come. There are some frustrating eliminations a few extremely unlikable cast members but there are also some really likeable ones. And while I really wish someone like Holly or Sash had won I don't think Jud is a horrible winner. I'm just SO glad it wasn't Chase because he fucking sucks. It's definitely still a mediocre season at best though.
Seriously how can people say Nicaragua is the worst when we have All Stars being one of the saltiest and most disgusting seasons in survivor, Fiji being a season with GARBAGE casting where a bunch of racist bullies dominate most of the game, One World being one of the most boring and predictable seasons ever, and Marquesas having a horrible edit for its winner and just generally a pretty bad cast lets be honest. I can think of 2 standout members from Marquesas whereas I can think of at least FIVE from Nicaragua.
This is my 3rd least favorite season
