He sure did. Alan was a one of a kind of driver had him and Davey not passed they would've been the faces of the 90s and Dale Sr wouldn't have 7 championships and this coming from a die hard Earnhardt fan R.I.P ALAN GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN
When its all said and done, he will be the epitome of the energy that stood there still and forward through the nos the you cants the youre not big enoughs or good enoughs.
to win how he did, probably one of greatest sports feats of all time when you want to talk about money, talent and what it takes to be one of the 40 each Sunday
He was an inspiration for many of us engineers who wanted to be racers too. He laid the model out...not many have been able to do it. I guess kids and a family get in the way too but not like in a bad way. People's passions change and some don't. Alan was special.
@Chad-sp4hq I am an engineer. I started racing cars when I was 17. I'm now 56. Was racing still last year until I injured my left foot mid season at home. Car got parked and took this season off. Just bought my youngest a mini cup car for him to start racing. My other two sons missed the racing bug. I haven't been able to be as invested in my racing endeavors due to the factors as I described above. This will be different for my son. It's different. He will get my best efforts and the wife is fully on board. We did a test with the help of a friend's car...you can see that on my channel here as my latest video.
July 26 2024 STILL MISS YOU,,,RIP CHAMP.
I remember watching this tribute in 1993 .I had been looking for it for a while. What he accomplished against all odds was incredible
This tribute always stuck with me when I first saw it and never forgot it.. what a gem to find it

He could drive it that was incredible.
He's still a champion. The Champ. Noone beat him for it. Technically.
Awesome Piece of work 👏
This price of film is hard to find.
Glad I kept it on a tape and converted it.
