Amazing how technology comes full circle and eventually high tech reaches the masses. What’s really amazing is the fact that before these digital probes/ cad cam software programs were hand written with G codes line by line and recorded on paper / magnetic tape . Get your head around that and you are a clever man guys.
I worked as a welder at a CNC shop and was learning cnc. The boss came out to the shop to yell at the dude teaching me about not being trained to use the Renishaw probe then he took over the training where he promptly crashed the 30k probel and fucking up the months tooling budget
@@mrphiscal you could but it’s another 100k from what I have researched for that. It would free the machine up. We could also pay someone to scan it. But, we have a machine that does digitizing so work with what we have for now.
i hear allot of passion towards the toyota heads from dave but he's not quite convinced about the RB platform (yet) i hope dave gets into the RB the same way he has the toyota stuff He's philosophy of "bigger is not always better" engineers think like that. He definitely different when it comes to cylinder head work. or, maybe, he's not trying to take all your money-like most others are😂

Simply, if you know your graphs using x,y,z you are good to run a cnc mills machine.
