The scenes where Alfredstone Cathedral realises his livery was LNER apple green, and the scene with the Royal Scot class had me in complete stitches, and the savage station announcement who didn't give a shit was brilliant. was an excellent episode, definitely looking forward to seeing how this pans out.
don't forget the Atlantic coast express that went from London Waterloo to the West country
I really love the Coronation Scot theme in this episode
I must say that shot at 9:54 of Alfredston is very neat.
It looks like an LNER loco at speed with it's train... until it gets closer and you realise the coaches are Hawksworths and the engine is a Hawksworth Cathedral.
Those station announcements XD
And episodes made on Train Simulator look so much better these days than they did only a few years ago.
I really like how the Cathedral runs. They are gorgeous and really perfect for an express Runs. Nice work.
I like this show I love the characters I love the American Railroad I love how there’s some mild jokes in there and I like how you’re not that noticeable
Nice to see you incorporating elements of Rails To Refuge into the series
I didn't know that reverse de Glehn was so popular. 4-cylinder engines are famous for axle breaking.
What an absolutely BRILLIANT episode. I really like how this episode feels so different and yet so naturally part of the series. Alfredstone Cathedral (I’d be seriously tempted to call him Alf or Alfie just to piss him off XD) seems like a very interesting character: slightly pompous but well meaning and down to earth, with a great sense of humour and a slightly naive streak I find very endearing. His livery actually does suit him rather well, although I also bet he’d look absolutely smashing in BR Blue.
Your use of blended sets to show Alfred’s journey from the island to London were jaw dropping gorgeous and worked together so seamlessly: I really did like how little dialogue there was so that the scenery really stood out. I love the ties as well that are being made between this series and Rails To Salvation as well: this universe of stories is just so gripping and entertaining, and the lore is so well done.
I love the little inclusion of Seaforth the Royal Scot as well - the banter between them was brilliant, and I like how it subtlety still shows the slight rivalry between these two former companies. I’m guessing he was taking an express somewhere north to the likes of Crewe or Manchester?
Also, those station announcements are PURE COMEDIC GOLD XD - please keep including them.
I think this is my favourite episode out of all of them so far
Idk why but Mr. Stard saying that Redwick Cathedral commiting "honorable seppuku" made me chuckle
I am so god damn proud of you and Reilly! You finished this in record time, The visuals look better than ever, the story flows so naturally. and the music. my god the music! i'm looking forward to what comes next mate!
will anyone die in your series?
@@MidlandProductions oh boy, your in for a shock.
"It was at that moment, that BR knew, they fucked up"
Such a well done episode. I can not wait for more of this series
Did I just see Ramsey in the station from rails to refuge
Had another look on a full sized screen. The GWR main line is just how I remember it. Another time can you fit in a shot of Goring troughs? I spend many a cold winter's day standing on Cholsey and Moulsford and one day got a lift in the cab of the Wallingford Bunk,1407.
He may be in Apple Green, but he scared me when passing by at speed.
7:24
I've never
EVER
laughed harder, nice one Andy
Brilliant episode once again mate you should be really proud of what you've done here. Up to your usual high quality it leaves me hungry for more.
The station announcer is savage
Really enjoying the series. Please could you do a map and fleet video possibly? Showing who works where on the island? :)
Thank you Ashley! Yes of course I can! I’ve already begun on this kind of thing so hopefully I can get that done :)
@@SteamingWestwardsProductions when I saw the GWR super express engine in the lighter green livery I thought they just making do with what paint they had in the workshop.
i love this series it keeps me entertainded every day. thanks swp old chap, do you like GWR by any chance?
Hi Andy (steaming westward productions)your programme Cathedrals of steam is brilliant a bit that Alfred said had me laughing was from 5:37 to 7:28 now that IS pure brilliance and that's why I love watching your channel as
It always makes me feel very happy well done. Keep up the fantastic and brilliant work.
YES BEST LIVERY some LNER Livery best way to go there also great new episode there really enjoyed it
Another great episode. Keep up the great work.
very great episode! also, sorry about all the stupid questions from before. I just like these episodes.
The tank at the doorstep is great
andy this gets better everytime i watch it you hvae don an incredible job with season 1 and work so far on season 2 (ps Alfreds theme is possibly the best very close between the main theme and hercules' theme)
So sad to compare the GW line then and now. The whole route has been cased in a tunnel of steel goalposts and gallows
Who knows what will happen?
At 10:23 is that Ramsey???
Yes
This was very good
4:09 6:45 6:54 7:49
Classmate ironically looking to be 8003 Exeter Cathedral
What did the station announcement say at 11:09
"Please do not talk to the weird man in the black suit who is talking to steam trains, her may be a health hazard to himself and the traveling public"
It took me too long to get back to this series, but now that I am, 10:20 - 11:12 has me in stitches! I'm sorry to say I resemble the last one at times! ;) "Train now arriving at platform 3 Is the Essex-Wyvern Express from Alfredston, If you see any abnormally large Seagulls, please do not let them off the train, they are a health hazard. To all those members of the public who have lost the Second-Half of Season Two of SVRS, Please come to the lost property office. Please do not talk to the weird man in the black suit who is talking to steam trains, he may be a health hazard to himself and the traveling public." Cheers! :)
Do you guys know where the roundhouse comes from
7:53 Something's off about that guy.
Am I the only one thinking he's real?
Could the station first aider please make their way to platform 3 the steam locomotive on platform 3 has just receive severer burns. LOL that have me laughing for like 5 Bloody Minutes. Good job lad!
ha ha 21:05 I know i saw a slip coach in the consist.
I saw a head of a human under the seat
Yes you did 😅
16:07 Rooke's sibling in the background?
23:27 is that an engine cab?
Was I the only person who spotted Ramsey AND king Richard?
20:09
Like you using the Coronation Scot music mixed with Thomas and friends music
It's not Thomas music, it's The ToNW Intro xD
😐😐😐😐😐😐😐😐😐😐😐😐😐😐😐😐😐😐😐😐😐😐😐😐😐😐😐😐
The music for the first 35 seconds reminds me of 'This is Gallifrey' 1:15 in ua-cam.com/video/k-SBNgu1hO4/v-deo.html
they are smoke deflectors not flaps
Funniest videos i've ever seen!
How can i get the weird funnel that Pilot has?
I wanna know
The pannier is from victory works and to get the spark arrester funnel it's basically trial and error just keep on spawning vw 5700 br black panniers and once you get the spark arrester funnel just copy the code that comes after the shed code
what did North Star mean by saying the 4-6-2 needed to loose a few tons?
The Cathedrals are beefy express locos compared to the rest of the GWR tender engines.
Get rekt. -Pilot
3:20 why does the panniers funnel look like a top hat XD
Spark arrester.
@@physiocrat7143 interesting
@@blu5118 A few GWR PT locomotives were fitted with them. They ran on the Cleobury Mortimer and Ditton Priors Railway.
@@physiocrat7143 even more interesting, but they do look fancy tho
@@blu5118 There are plenty of pics of these locos with the funny chimney.
didn't they mean wings not flaps
Mk4 male tank from the first world war interesting
a Mk5 owned by Lord Henry dexby alongside other things in his large collection he hides around :P
I will go to the lost property office
