Simple, catchy beats with endlessly quality musicianship and that signature three part vocal harmony. The Hollies love Jennifer Eccles; I love the Hollies!
I had never heard of this song until my best friend the most awesome woman LYNN FOWLKES started calling me Jennifer Eccles and she had to show me this song!!!! R.I.P. LYNNIE YOU ARE LOVED AND MISSED!!!!
I didn't hear it in more than 40 years and forgot about it. Now I'm listening to it and i recognized the tune at once. The Hollies were great in the 60ies, and had several hits.
Never heard Jennifer Eccles, but I loved the Hollies for songs such as Bus Stop, Carrie Anne, He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother, all having great vocal harmony with Graham Nash's voice on the top.
The Hollies personalities were shown in this video with interactions between them and their fans. My favorite fan interaction was when Bernie Calvert allowed the kids to play with his bass guitar. It was so cute!🎸
I wonder what the once-little-girl thinks to this day? She was probably 5-ish ... so born in early 60's. She could be approaching Age 60 herself. Bernie probably had a little sister himself.
I could just eat him up! He's such a cutie. Even though he's 13 years older than me, I'm 65, I deserve to be a dirty old lady, or maybe he could be my "Sugar Daddy"! Dream big!!! LOL
April 1968... wurde Marinesoldat.....eine schöne Zeit begannn, aber erst nach der Ausbildung.....ich hab sie genossen. Danke für diese Zeit. Dieser Song erinnert mich immer daran.
The blonde girl turning around at the left of the screen at 1:15 was so pretty. I love the style back in those days.. how younger people wore more classy clothes.. and it seemed like everyone was thin and beautiful.
After releasing the superb Butterfly album in late 1967 to little or no response, The Hollies wrote this commercial bubblegum pop song and it went in the UK Top 10 in mid 1968. A far cry however from the brilliant Pop Sike found on Butterfly!
What I really love about this song is the f ing drumming and the harmony of course and with the use of BLK and white film.gramham Nash looks like a hot vampire.
Agree 100 % - Bobby is one of my favorite drummers too. I like to compare Bobby Elliot with Ringo - good technican and very very very important: Always brillant ideas at the right point.
My Mother used to sing this song also when she was alive. I remember it from when I was a child in the 1990s. I always thought it was "Jenny Freckles".. now I realise it was Jennifer Eccles. 😄
I interviewed Graham Nash in 2017 and he told me: "I just read a quote from Allan Clarke recently that said Graham’s idea of a good song is King Midas in Reverse, but our opinion of a good song is Jennifer Eccles, which is one of the last singles that the Hollies did, and a song that I hate to this day even though I helped write it."
My favorite Hollies song despite the fact that they thought it was dumb. They made it to cater to the teenie boppers but never really thought it was a good song. WRONG!!! Many of us liked it very much, especially me and I was in their age group.
This was the first record I ever owned. I gave my brother the money to buy it for me and used to play it on my patents' HMV Dansette when the were out 😊
These guys were a close harmony band that had few rivals, but they refused to change musical directions which led to Graham Nash's departure. This song is a good example of that.
The Hollies are one of the original FIVE SUPERGROUPS that spawned all others in history after that by association (within only a few degrees of separation - less than 5). The Beatles did not.
I’m 31 and grew up listening to this superb band. Catchy, simple songs with effortless harmonies. Good times I bet!
Simple, catchy beats with endlessly quality musicianship and that signature three part vocal harmony. The Hollies love Jennifer Eccles; I love the Hollies!
Bernie has the most gorgeous smile 😀
Don't you just love him. 😍❤
My grandma used to blast this and sing it to me! 4 years today and this song still makes me bawl my eyes out
Berni calverts smile here is just the cutest xx
Wunderbare Eindrücke von dieser Band und schöne Erinnerungen an das Jahr 1968 !
ah the days...when you could get an autograph and a smile from your fave band.
Every song this group sang was a #1 hit with me.
Really? Don't get me wrong I like the Hollies, but this song makes me want to punch something!
Bernie Calverts cuteness was literally so underestimated! His talent as well too. A very talented man!
Yep. Great line .
Call it what you like, this was one of my favourite Hollies hits
This may be a dumb pop song, but it's one of the best dumb pop songs ever written.
Totally agree! Loved it! ..Prob. one of the last songs the orig. Hollies recorded together before Graham Nash left them.

What a beautiful time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I could listen to this on a loop all day. Same with 'Look Through Any Window'.
Another great hit by the Hollies Iconic music💙
The drumming in this tune is f ing awesome. It makes it perfect

The World has not become a better place. Those '60s were the best, the music has not been bettered
No one’s stopping you.
Just innocently showing a girl that you liked how she looks. Dating myself.
My favorite group The Hollies nice music and good composers

Tony Hicks is just the Cutest!!! I'm Still Crushing on Him to this Day!+!
I could just eat him up! He's such a cutie. Even though he's 13 years older than me, I'm 65, I deserve to be a dirty old lady, or maybe he could be my "Sugar Daddy"! Dream big!!! LOL

Great old song.
One of my dads favorite songs, and now it's mine :)

Graham Nash hated this record. Then went on to write the deep and profound "Our House". With 2 cats in the yard, life used to be so hard.
What I really love about this song is the f ing drumming and the harmony of course and with the use of BLK and white film.gramham Nash looks like a hot vampire.
The Hollies: my most favourit 60's band
wow, and I love the hollies......⛵️🚢🛳🛥⚓️
Dang, they had the best harmonies. Bobby Elliot is an incredible drummer.
Agree 100 % - Bobby is one of my favorite drummers too. I like to compare Bobby Elliot with Ringo - good technican and very very very important: Always brillant ideas at the right point.
my mum sings this to me and always has :)
Sweet!
My dad always sings sorry Suzanne to me 😂
Cute!

Endless classic ❤
This should become a `puppy love` song for any teenage after school.
Boys from Manchester done good
Tony 😍 and Bernie 😍

Im starting to think the guys from C,S,&N stay together because nobody else can stand them
King Midas is one of my favourite singles from the 60’s, bit Beatle inspired but that’s OK. Shame it didn’t do better when it was released.
Not sure what I love more.. The Hollys or the fact I'm named after this song 😂
This song came on the radio the same moment I was born 😅😂
While it might be considered bubblegum to some, I sometimes need a tune such as this for a good mood.
We have Had such a scarf.. with gold ..❤😊
My favorite Hollies song despite the fact that they thought it was dumb. They made it to cater to the teenie boppers but never really thought it was a good song. WRONG!!! Many of us liked it very much, especially me and I was in their age group.
I think only Graham thought it was bad and he left because of it lol I think it’s brilliant!
🎶"I Love 💕Jennifer Eccles🎵🎶WeeeeeWooooo!!!"😗 Ya got 'Jennifer Eccles', Ya got 'Jennifer Juniper', everybody loves a Jennifer.
Excellent quality audio. Very clear and detailed sound. Should have lots more views.
Remind me everything 🥺
I like this song it's a catchy tune and it's good rock and roll baby
Always a fan of the hollies
Takes me back to April 1968.
Martin Luther King was shot LBJ announced he wasn’t going to run for another term and this awesome song hit the charts.
And I graduated from high school.
This was the first record I ever owned. I gave my brother the money to buy it for me and used to play it on my patents' HMV Dansette when the were out 😊

Bubblegum Pop from The mighty Hollies but is a GREAT Bubblegum Pop gem!
I heard this song for the first time driving to Switzerland.
This was about the time Graham Nash left the group, the Hollies couldn't have been too happy. Graham looks grouchy and enters the cab alone.
What a treat that was! Best audio quality of this song found on UA-cam as far as I can tell..thanks
Very nostalgic!!
Good stuff. Thanks.
Great song, great vid & real nice guys ..
Great Sound of the 60s
luv song takes me back
beautiful
Bubble gum pop, yes probably, but that first verse is a clever bit of songwriting.
Great audio, thanks.
Two and a half minutes of joy. What’s wrong with that?
I finally figured it out: the drummer (Bobby Elliott) looks like the actor Judge Reinhold (Beverly Hills Cop, the "close talker" on Seinfeld).
They're nice...I liked them...seem good men to me
Niedlich , wie das kleine Mädchen den Bass spielen darf.
The Hollies very popular Band of the United Kingdom111111
The Hollies are one of the original FIVE SUPERGROUPS that spawned all others in history after that by association (within only a few degrees of separation - less than 5). The Beatles did not.
I named a goat Jenny Freckles after this song. lol (Corny!)
LOL!!!
The hollies gezien in Artis,1968.
Not my favorite song but it does have an amazing title :p
I remember this song. What year was it popular?

Showed this video to my 19 year old daughter. Forget the rest of the song; she just refers to him as Count Nashula now! Love it! Thanks
When music was music
alan and graham don't seem too thrilled about the fans here
Mr Deininger and later on Mr Soriano did leave me inside. It's good to be me.
Weezer - Buddy Holly sounds a little like this (Chorus)
Why is an English Zephyr Taxi left hand drive?

Vazgeçilmezsin The Hollies
It's Tuesday..this must be Belgium.
Does anyone else out there get this reference? Super young and suave Ian McShane? Suzanne Pleshette? Anybody??
Little detail: this clip was recorded in Belgium. At the bottom of the Justice Palace in Brussels (Rue des Minimes)
Bubblegum, but well-performed bubblegum! Overall, The Hollies rock. Where was this filmed?
+Robert Medina This was filmed in Brussels/Belgium near 'het Justitie Paleis'
