      Niiice! Congrats man! The 2020 has some sick upgrades. You’re gonna love it! Make sure you subscribe if you haven’t because I’m going to be pumping out content on my Rebel and some of the installs and things could come in handy for you. Thanks for watching! 🙏🏻

      LifeOfBurch Thanks 😁 I looked at some of the earlier models, but it seems like they took care of all the major complaints that people have about the rebel, like the suspension, the seat and the lack of a gear indicator, led lights and so on, so I thought it was worth getting the 2020 as my first bike 😁
      Already subscribed. You have surprisingly few subscribers for what quality content you have. I hope the corono crisis is treating you well. 😊
      Personally my channel has grown to over double in the last month 😮

      I appreciate that man! And that’s crazy that your channel grew that much so quickly! My channel’s been growing very slowly, but ever since I posted the first Rebel 500 video less than a week ago I went from like 250 subs to just over 400 now. I’m hoping I can crush a few more Rebel 500 videos and get past the 1,000 sub mark before the ‘rona madness ends 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

      LifeOfBurch Good luck to you. I think it's the right time because riding season just kicked off and the Rebel is a great starter bike, so a lot of people will be looking 😊
      Also because it's a way to not be cooped up inside during the crisis, and it's the ultimate social distancing 😂🤣

    Great review. As someone that has been riding for 30 years, in my opinion the two things that will save you is power and more recently ABS. More power is crucial for avoiding certain incidents or bad drivers, and often times more safe than braking. Someone told me that when I first started riding, and all the years I have on two wheels it holds true. I have powered my way around or out of situations more often than i can remember. I feel like you may outgrow this bike rather quickly. Don't let the bigger displacements scare you, once you gain more confidence riding you will seek it out. It's not about going faster, it's about having more control in a situation. Just my two cents.

    • @LifeOfBurch
      @LifeOfBurch  4 роки тому +1

      I fully agree on powering out of certain situations vs trying to brake! Fortunately, I find that this bike still has enough power to do that if and when it’s needed. I previously had a Rebel 300 and the lack of power on that is what made me want to get rid of it since it didn’t have the power to do so if on the highway. As for outgrowing the 500, I technically did that before I even bought it, so I already knew what I was getting into. My other bike is a 1992 VFR750 that I’ve owned for 5 years, so I have something to fall back on when I want/need more power. The Rebel I have as more of a backroads/twisties/grocery getter, and I have the VFR as my long haul/haul ass bike 😂 I love them each in their own way! Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment! 🙏🏻

    I don’t know poop from apple butter when it comes to motorcycles but am doing a lot of research lately. Honda Rebel has had the best reviews. So seeing a local riding and reviewing has helped me make a decision in getting one soon. Thanks and keep up the great videos. Also happy belated birthday.

      Nice dude! And thank you! Whenever you get a Rebel we should meet up and ride. Glen Burnie Motorsports usually has a decent amount of Rebels in stock if you want to go sit on one and see how it feels. And I don’t know if they do rentals, but I know the Honda in Crofton even does daily rentals if you wanted to take one out for the day to see how it rides.

    the 500 motor is a really nice upgrade to this light weight easy to ride Rebel series. If you have a choice, get the 500 over the 300 same maneuvering and fun to ride in city. I notice no difference in weight riding. 500 has much more available power. the new 2020 rebel 500 have the better suspension now ands LED headlights with a gear indicator too. I got a after market gear indicator off Amazon and added my own LED head lamp for my 2019 Rebel 500. Ordered a cool cross hatch seat, and a pull up adjustable windshield from Puig . Lots of after market goodies!

      Personally, I went with this bike because for the price you can find a used ‘17-‘19, you can add all the upgrades of the 2020 and then some, and still have spent thousands less than what a 2020 would cost. A 2020 Rebel 500 is about $8k out the door (dealer fees, tax, tag, title, included) and you can find a used ‘17-‘19 for $4,000-$4,500, sometimes even less.

Hey, any recommendations on milage? Let's say the bike looks good and everything's in order, what would be your recommendation on the max mileage you'd like to see on the bike. Thanks a mile! :)

    • @LifeOfBurch
      @LifeOfBurch  4 роки тому +2

      As long as the bike looks ok and seems to run fine, I wouldn’t let mileage worry me too much. These bikes are reliable and all of them are still new enough that you shouldn’t encounter any super high mileage. If anything, slightly higher miles are just a talking point to help you get a lower price. My 300 had about 6,500 miles when I got it and my 500 had about 948 miles. Despite the mileage difference, they were both equally solid, good running bikes. I’ve seen someone with as many as 44,000 miles on their 300 😳 Just be sure to look up what the maintenance schedule is for these bikes and ask what maintenance has been done to the bike so far, and compare to make sure they’re actually up to date on the recommended maintenance.

    I feeling confuse both of 300 and 500 which is the best choice for me(beginner)? i need your opinion about this.

    i will waiting your answer....

    • @LifeOfBurch
      @LifeOfBurch  4 роки тому +1

      I think there’s lots of different factors that go into that answer, mostly concerning how comfortable you personally feel on each bike. I plan to make an in-depth video about this once I get some seat time on the 500, but here’s my thoughts. The 500 is more powerful and will probably last you longer before you “outgrow” it, but the 300 is potentially less intimidating for a beginner. With that said though, the 500 is user-friendly enough to not be “too much bike” for a new rider, but only if you feel comfortable on it. Also something to consider, you can typically find a 300 for much cheaper than a 500, so it may make more sense financially to get a 300 at first. Especially if you don’t plan to keep it long, or if you happen to drop the bike practicing low speed maneuvers or something you be quite as heartbroken. As for comfort, both bikes feel exactly the same and I honestly can’t even feel a weight difference between the two when riding around. Hope that helps!

      None of my other bikes have ever had ABS, so it’s not necessarily a feature I was set on having on this bike. Josip K. Thank you!! 🙏🏻 Personally, I think you can’t find a much better beginner bike out there. It’s so easy to ride, forgiving, and fun! As for your height, the best way to know is to be able to go to a dealer and throw your leg over one to see how it feels. I’m about 5’10” and it feels fine for me, but I could see it feeling cramped for a taller person. With that said though, there are people in my Rebel Facebook group who are 6’3” and 250+ lbs who ride a Rebel and say that it’s just fine for them, so lots of it comes down to the individual. Hope that helps!

      Depends on your area, whether it’s a 300 or 500, mileage, condition, etc. In my area lots of them are overpriced, just like you said, but they eventually lower the price once it doesn’t sell. Be patient and you’ll find a good deal. I’ll be doing a price reveal on here soon, but I’d expect roughly $4,000-$4,500 for a 500 or $2,800-$3,300 for a 300.

      I rode a Street 500 in my motorcycle course and it was fun! I feel like the Rebel is a bit easier to handle and a bit smoother though. My buddy has one and I’m hoping he’ll let me do a comparison video at some point.
      The Rebel 300 is definitely a good starting point depending on what your plans are. The 500 will last you longer than the 300 before “outgrowing it” most likely. And if you plan to do any highway riding or upgrading the exhaust definitely go with the 500. If weight is a concern, you really can’t feel a difference between the 300 and 500 when riding them. Of course you can typically find a 300 for much cheaper, so if/when you drop the bike or decide to sell it, it won’t matter as much.

It doesn’t matter what you ride, be it 50cc scooter or 2300cc Triumph Rocket. I purchased my dream bike in 2018, electric blue Harley Softail Deluxe. My first bike had two pedals, second bike was a dirt bike, third bike was an Yamaha FZ6, and now the Harley-I loved every one of them. A bit of advice learned the hard way: don’t get so caught up in adding upgrades that you forget just how awesome it is to be on two wheels. The seat I ordered from ZeedParts.com. I ordered my last seat from there and liked it a lot so I used them again, but with a different seat this time. Their seats definitely aren't Corbin quality, but still leagues above stock in terms of comfort, and decently priced too.
      Make sure you subscribe if you haven't already! Both of those parts should hopefully be in by next week and then I'll be doing an install video on them. I actually went a bit overboard on modifications already and will be doing videos for the majority of them!

It probably would make a big difference if you got a thicker seat as well. I find it to be the legs which would feel cramped, so that would help give them a bit more room. 3k Baby it’s easier than you think! Make sure to take a riders course to get your license. They take you step by step through the basics and by the end of it you’re riding! I took mine through the local Harley dealer and they do it on one of their little Street 500s.
