The Lamborghini diablo literally flat out stole the 300zx headlight and put a carbon fiber strip to cover the Nissan badge. 300zx came out in 89 for a 90 model year Lamborghini took it and took out the pop up lights on early diablo and 2000 stole 300 lights

all fair points, but note, as an European having only driven 2+2 300zx twin turbos all my life, and recently having driven 2 different us spec 300ZX TT 2 seaters, I can tell you this : the 2+2 rides better, corners better, is more predictable at the limit, and has much more driver space because the seat goes back more, so it feels like a mans car, in the sense I can fit inside much better. and in my eye looks better, because it is longer, fells sleeker.
anyway the 300ZX TT is the most underrated JDM 90's golden age sports car, so very happy with your content.
Please, get it to run, if you can! Kinda going back to your roots. I really want to see this turn into a drift/burnout car. Then make up a contest and give it away! I really don't want to see you get too distracted; you got a lot on your plate, Freddie!!!

I have a need, a need for tweed.
Way back when I went to buy my MR2, I knew it wasn't running so I needed a trailer. I got a friend and his friend to come trailer it for me with their rally car trailer. Turns out that an enclosed trailer that's made for an Evo rally car doesn't actually have the openings and clearances to fit a lowered street car with long coupe doors to open at all. Luckily, the MR2 had T-tops, so off they came and out the roof I climbed.
That was a fun day, thanks for bringing back the memories!

Pro tip on the 300ZX. You can spot the 1990 because the airbagless steering wheel (1991 and up had an airbag) and the grill between the headlights is plain (1991 and up had the Nissan hamburger).
Will you still clean up the original 2+2 after the swap? Its a lot of work, but I’d hate to see it get scrapped. These cars are honestly becoming harder and harder to come by where I’m at, regardless if its the 2+2 model or 2+0.

2+0 always will look better than the 2+2 :) if yer swapping the power train into that one sell me that shifter tho cuz the one on my got cut in half (and poorly by the previous owner)

Congratulations, you now, like me, have TWO of the most expensive cars from the 90's to work on. I have a 1990 and a 1994 300Zx. The 94 is my daily driver and the 90 is a track car. Only nice thing about the 2+2 is that you can get a cheap wide body kit on eBay for it.

The Z32 300ZX and the R31 Skylines are the last Nissans that I think are cool.

Z32's are great cars, built to last but people are scared of cramped engine bay which is a shame. Got oil pan leak in my gs300 with 2jz and that requires partial engine pull. My 93 Twin turbo has been good to me, still working ac and solid 400 hp car in style. Everywhere I go people notice.
I love these cars. I picked up a non running na z32 at a tow yard also. I recently finished twin turboing the factory na motor and all I have to say is it's amazing! Ive wanted one since I was a little kid and I was not disappointed. Do the Cadillac ctsv brake swap. Besides the turbos it's the best thing I've done to the car.

Happened to mine, coolant temp sensor right on the front by the coolant hose. $20 bucks a do a few minutes work.

Living in the North East my daily driver has more rust than that
2+2 drives better than a coupe, coming from a person who has had both, the extra length of the car makes it much more stable in the corner, the coupe feels bouncy and pushy were the 2+2 feels a lot more sure of itself and planted
Want a RX7 for the rotary swap I have a running 13b lol. Trying to work around the factory engine was awful on these cars. But it looks like you found a pretty clean car. Good find.

The rocker panels are also prone to rust. I'm glad you got a better car to start with.
True literally dating all the way back to the 240Z. I had like 5 of them and every one of them needed repairs to the rusty rocker panels.
