Yup
you need a lampshade that connects to the floor lamp with a harp and finial. that’s what those metal pieces sticking out are for. just make sure you’re using an led bulb so that the heat doesn’t melt your hot glue!
Just bought a fabulous MCM lamp at the GW for $1. Needs a harp and shade….have to find a lampshade store where I can try different ones. I realize that those items may cost $$$$.
@@JeddieMPB I know a “peddler” who picks up ugly relatively new lamps off the curb just for the wiring. Lampshades are tricky they have to be the right size or you’ll have a glaring bulb in your eye.

Earthquakes are quite rare in Ontario (I want to say non-existant) but I understand your concern.
My parents have separate rooms and I always liked that idea because both partners can have their own separate spaces without their stuff getting moved around or mixed. I’m not sure if that’s what they do but you can still have separate rooms but sleep in one of the room’s together with no problem:) I feel like a lot of people associate separate rooms as a bad thing.

Omg i love this it looks so amazing the pillows are soooo gorgeous but the plants above the bed stresses me out as someone who woke up with a mound of dirt and broken china in my bed after a shelf fell 😭
I agree! I think anything heavy or breakable should not be over the head. Probably plastic would be a safe option!
I can relate. I used to have a shelf on the side wall (my bed was against the wall) and sometimes when I slept I would kick the wall and things would fall and break so when I painted, the shelves never went back up lol
Poop lamp to unicorn lamp! 🦄
***For the poop lamp, it gives me Art Deco vibes now that it’s white. I would just get a huge round white bulb, no shade at all. I think it would look really neat!

You can either get those connectors that connect to the brackets on your lamp or you take the light bulb out and sit it underneath that or what you did, it looks like it worked 👍😀

You need a harp for the lamp. They're super easy to find. I got mine from target but I'm sure there are different varieties online.

Hi Jenna I believe you put the lampshade first and then the light bulb let me know if it works cuz I have lamps like that where the lampshade goes first and then you screw the lightbulb in and that's what holds it on
