Baden's story is such a sad one but I'm so glad that Lilith gave him some much deserved love and developed more of his story. He may never rest in peace but he'll forever be amazing!

Baden and Thane are my two favorite characters, and the expansion of both their lore and of bringing them and their stories back together makes me so happy. The visuals are amazing, and the symbolism of Baden not being muzzled anymore is wonderful.
I want their endgame to be them settling down at Rayne Manor and Estrilda taking over leading the armies and coming to visit them all the time, all of them healing together.
Be like Talene, not showing up the entire fight and somehow popped-up at the end of video 🤣
I’ve been following Baden’s story ever since I got him, and I cannot wait to get his awakened version 5star so he can properly take the place of my regular version and after I’ve completed Awakened Baden it’s on the to Thane

Oh thank god, Thane's VA seems to be different here than it was in the animation that played in the app itself. I watched the whole thing and his voice sounded so goofy and stilted compared to Nevanthi and Baden that I just couldn't take him seriously. I was gonna comment on it here, but it looks like y'all fixed his original voice after all. Nice.

@@neen66F Seriously. Everyone else was phenomenal, with Nevanthi and Baden being perfect, but then Thane spoke and it really took me out of the moment with how bad he was, lol. Someone must've thought so as well, and that's why they changed his voice.
Omg, thank you so much for fixing Thane's voice! I just watched this video in the game and was shocked how unnatural his voice sounded. But this now is awesome, fantastic all the way! I just watched it in the game too and Thane's voice acting took me completely out of the video, some of the worst voice acting I've ever heard in my life. And it didn't fit the character AT ALL. I smell nepotism.
@@nijuujuuyon94uhhh I wholeheartedly agree, that voice acting is absolutely terrible. No idea why they keep that version in the game, but nepotism is a solid option. I'm glad to see proper voice acting at least on yt, because the video itself is pretty cool. I hope more people find this version and can actually enjoy it (or finish watching it in general).

When I knew that Thane was going to be Ascended, I couldn't believe it. When Baden came next, I was simply on heaven. It was a perfect decision, Lilith. Now my two favourite characters are equal and together again. I like this video so much. Thank you 🙏

- I love how you depicted Baden - a loyal friend and an honorful knight. He's the knight in shining armor saving the damsel in distress :)
- Thank you for underlining the word FRIEND (how many times do they repeat it?) referring to Baden and Nevanthi's relationship. A romance would be out of place. On the other hand, Thane and Baden's friendship looks so cool and badass.
- Is that Talene at 6.38, next to Thane? That would be so interesting. Three broken souls (Talene wishing to revenge her mother's dead, Thane with his sense of guilt and self-destructive wishes to die to repent his "fault", and Baden struggling to not succumb to the dark side) which got a second chance to "reborn" and start with a new life. This is just so perfect.

I'm just so glad they're back together. Baden is incredible, and he deserves everything that could make his undead existence easier.
I can't express fully just how happy I am for Baden and Thane. I've loved Baden ever since I first joined the game three years ago and he remains dear to my heart. Thane I wasn't too fond of at first but he definitely grew on me over the Silent Blade comic and his awakening. They truly are soulmates and it's wonderful to see them finally back together. It may not be the happy ending they envisioned but it's a good one for what they've been through. Here's to hoping that when they find each other in the next life, fate will be kinder to them.

Lucretia lore is what got me into AFK Arena, seeing how much has been added and the new and fantastic Lore/animations get me hyped! Also thank goodness for the Thane VA fix I was scared it was going to be permanent

I think I would've been upset if Baden wasn't the next Ascended guardian. I love Solise as the other ascended guardian, but she threw me off a little because I thought it was going to be Tasi, but I welcomed it. I'm just happy to see this video because Baden is one of my favorites, next to Brutus.

Choosing Brutus for awakening was a mistake from Lore perspective - I don't see how are you planning to make Thane and Baden to cooparate with Baden's killer.
I'm sure Baden and Thane would forgive Brutus is they have to work together because this is a problem for all of them
Some people can put personal issues aside if the fate of the world depends on it. Besides, if we're talking lore, then Baden's death was moreso the fault of his superiors as well as the Graveborn. Thane figured out the whole conspiracy behind it years ago so while yes, Brutus dealt the killing blow, the situation was set up from the outside.
@@alexandramusilova8148 true, but unless Brutus will show remorse for that (which I doubt he will) I feel that it would cause a lot of tension within the group. He's the odd one out - Baden and Thane are bffs and have every reason to hate Maulers, Solise as a Wilder is certainly not a fan Maulers either, Talene is an Obsidian Finch and a Celestial, and while beyond faction conflicts, she's not happy with the senseless violence. I may be biased but I always viewed the brutal part of Mauler society as more evil than the Graveborn tbh, and Brutus is certainly violent (and dim-witted in addition to that, based on how he was played and manipulated several times).
@@firestar29 That’s an interesting take but at the same time, the war between Lightbearers and Maulers is entirely the former's fault. And it is war so Brutus should not be required to show remorse unless you also want Baden and Thane to be remourseful about all the Maulers they've killed. Solise is terrified of all the guys in the group according to the official comics, and as for Talene, not only did she spend most of her life chasing revenge but she would also know that the Maulers' proud and violent nature is considered a gift from Dura, so I doubt she would mind either. Ultimately, Brutus showed he can protect his allies regardless of past grievances, so I'm willing to give him a pass. I would love to see all of them talk about the past for sure but at the same time, I don't think it's that far-fetched to see them working together.
Another point is that the Raynes were victims of a Lightbearer nobility conspiracy because they stood against the Graveborn influence. Baden would've died one way or another just like the rest of Estrilda's family. Brutus may have been the one to deal the killing blow but it just as well could've been an assassin or any other Mauler. According to the artbook lore, Thane is aware of the conspiracy.

Baden and Thane are devoted to one another. No matter how much they stray away from each other they always find themselves coming back, together on the battlefield as they once were.
Thane is Baden's driving force. He's his literal gust. And just the same, Baden is Thane's willpower. They both drive each other to do better, both in life and in battle. Its definitely shown in this new addition to Baden's story, and definitely during the corrupter event.
"Just like the old days" really hits me because they both MUST ponder their lives together very often, yet still continue on with pride and strength. I'm sure Baden still tears himself up for worrying Thane so much, but Thane sets it aside to protect the closest one in his life that he lost the chance to once before.
I love Baden and Thane so much. 🥹 They definitely deserved more content. Hope to see more in the future.

I attached to Baden since he was released in the first place and his companionship with Thane. He was a human once, then reborn as a Graveborn, but still has a will of his old self. I think, he is the only one who are not corrupted.
And it is a very interesting choice to make him one of the Guardian since he still has his will of humanity, even after life. His power somehow is sanctified by the Wood Emblem and made him different than other Graveborn.

I thought it was good, like that you guys are finally expressing their stories more actively. Makes the game definitely more captivating than reading text stories. My favorite and the one I really love is the animation with awakened brutus, should do more videos like that, it'll pull in a crowd and new players for sure if it had that amount of effort on most of the stories.

Baden's story is a heart breaking tragedy filled with an incredible amount of resilience and hope. Baden's will and loyalty is so strong that he would willingly sacrifice himself for a friend more than once. He truly is one of the most admirable characters in AFK Arena.

Not a restful end but definitely happy that they get to continue fighting together and I like how baden acknowledged that he would never have to be alone. Even without direct communication he knew his friend would arrive to assist him
this origin story has been really interesting! i love how it ties in not only the other new hero nevanthi, but also thane. seeing the dynamic between thane and baden has given me a deeper appreciation for both heroes. the new video is excellent and surpassed my expectations when i initially clicked on it. i was impressed by the amount of effort that went into animating it- the people who worked on it did an amazing job. im very much looking forward to future animations from this game 😊 good work afk team!
