I own the same color bike. Its a 2002 "Sky Blue" 790 Bonneville. The color only came on the 2002 models. In march of 2002, the triumph factory in Hinkley had a massive fire. All production had stopped. It is said that only 100 to 150 Sky Blue Bonnevilles were produced in 2002. They offered a shade of red and a shade of green as other choices but the Sky Blue just wasn't popular. It is concidered a rare color in the triumph line up.
And i have to agree that its an awesome all around bike. Mine is a keeper!

The last 'proper' Triumph Bonneville was the 1969 / 1970 model. The model you tested is better than the current T100 as it doesn't have gearbox problems but I have no time for Triumph current models as they sell their bikes with high prices as 'British Heritage' yet they are made in Thailand and Brazil for their lower production costs! Even BMW prices reflect their overseas made bikes and don't pretend they are German made. If you are considering a retro bike similar to a Bonneville the best is the Kawasaki W800 twin in my experience. Good video though.
