If you have to take the tank off this bike, a little heads up, there is a one time use clip down there that WILL break and if you put the tank on again without that, it'll leak gas onto the rear cylinders and its been known to burn down V4's
Now that’s a genuine reaction. Trying to get this Italian bike to start is so cool going through this experience with you Rob. Thank you for sharing with your followers. You are so AWESOME! 😊😊😊
Mechanical problems are nothing compared to electronics. Sensors and wiring, it's not gonna end up being worth it. Replacing Ducati harnesses and sensnsors are ridiculously expensive. I'm looking forward to the next videos. Prove me wrong.
@unavailabill Yea maybe if he just wants to get it running. Maybe he has connections because he has his chanel. But the cheapest sensor on that thing is 1200$ from the dealer. Looking like he needs a new harness from the ECU I can't imagine how much that cost with 100 sensors to plug into. Maybe he wants to spend hours with a meter ringing it out and splice? If he's lucky it's just a tip sensor but I doubt it. Then all that bodywork. Idk that's why I'm looking forward to the next videos.
OMG! The preview... (I think I had the same reaction) Great video, Rob. Incredibly, no major structural damage is visible. Looking forward for the next episode.
Your best bet with these videos is have something happen. Like, you figure out it wont start, you then get it running and add that into the video. Super cool series, but yeah, the videos could be combined somewhat.
Hey mate great video but I would recommend getting a mic for better sound quality....it's really hard to hear you with the camera being further away....when it's up close to you it's fine but just hard to hear you talk.
Never start a crashed bike without checking oil and oil filter for suspicious metal and etc.... You never know after crash if it kept running long time on its side or something. There is no tip over sensor on any of the Ducati bikes.
I think there is a crash sensor that shuts off the bike to prevent fire. maybe that's it. yeah of course the junkcati noob had to have GP gear style...and then a chicken stripe almost to the middle of the tire 😂
Fix that wiring and you will likely be good to start. Be aware- the circuit to turn the starter and to power the spark and fuel are separate. So conceivably you could get crank but never fire without both circuits fixed. Btw, GP shift on a street bike is for posers. Like riding on slicks on the street. Lame poser move. Undo asap.

Which clip do you mean exactly?

Thanks for the support, I'm glad you enjoy the process!

Agreed, European motorbike is always expensive to repair
Sadly, I think pretty much the same, these guys have MAD SKILLS but parts cost what they cost.
Bro he got a dummy deal on it he’ll stay in the green even if he’s buying brand new parts and made zero on the videos.

Refreshing watching a current video with not current weather 🤘🏽
Glad you’re back dude ! Long winters up here in Canada with no good bike builds to watch 😂
Nice to see content again. Please keep it up. Thanks from Ireland.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm working on getting a better mic setup!
@RKMotorsports hope your channel grows and look forward to seeing how it evolves. Good luck and keep up the grind!
when it crashed it was in 3th gear ?????? explain please ? you pushed it all the way from the yard and in to your garage
If you don´t have all of the wires connected the bike may think the kill switch is off. I´d connect all of the wires before trying to start it.
Don't be too late to show us your ignition restart episode, RK!!
Really? Just 11mins of video??😮
Ducatis are so expensive to fix. I remember my tank was damaged and it was like 4 grand. I cant imagine on a V4.
Coming up on episode 3 of the Ducati rebuild. “Sneak start” 😂

Bruh I been waiting on this video ever since you went to go and pick the bike up
when youre taking off the screen its wont start cuz theres a sensor
I imagine you plan to make hundreds of videos trying to start the bike, I say it because of the likes, right? Omg😊
I feel like you milking this content with short videos... who could blame you, but still. :) Looks like a very lucky buy so far.

I’m Bummed….Next Time!
Ok 👏🎉👍
Ok in the next episode
Direct dustbin
Hi bro I'm from India
Bro start uploading every day
It's not fully about the cost. If all UA-cam restorers worried about ROI we'd have way fewer videos.
I really want to hear her roar. 😎
It might have a tilt switch
I got a 2013 Honda cbr 600rr that’s wrecked if you want to rebuild 😂
Another rubbish episode without any context 😂 thanks very much sir
Jump the pins!
Follow it
🇧🇷 💪

i want to him to make a video real vs fake carbon fiber to see what's the difference
Check out Fortnine. They most likely have a video like that.
Hope this helps!
bro invest on microphones. damn
You do way too much talking than work.
Con delle gomme cosi......non potevi pensare di rimanere in piedi.....
This is imkay 😢
