Newcastle should have won the game, just luck was not there for them. Everton was lucky scored with 10 men & it's a huge boost for them in the upcoming matches. With 11 matches remaining, I'm sure Everton will definitely fight all the way up to keep themselves in the safety zone. It was an electrifying game to watch anyway. Kudos to both team!

Obviously we would be not 100% at it, but should have taken our chances and been more clinical. Maximin is becoming more of a risk by losing the ball so much, but hard to comment too much on him due to the stuff he can pull out of nowhere. Long break, few more players back. Hardly reason to panic.

Shockingly bad performance against a very poor Everton team that was there for the taking. There was plenty of incentive to win this but, in the second half especially, the team almost seems to be coasting, as if their work was done. Everton reminded them you don't get 'time off' at premiership level. Confirmed for me that Almiron is not good enough at this level and 25 million was a lot to pay for a striker who rarely scores.
Apart from one goal in 11 matches, all he did were a few limp headers and soft pokes at goal.
