Makes it all worthwhile. Otherwise I'm just making videos without knowing what viewers think of it and with no interaction at all 😂
I have a uvb light for my two budgie , as winter is so long , and dark , I have no problem with them been egg binding , as they are both male , one thing I will ask , I give veg to mine every day, or should I give them 3 times a week ,
We might also invest in a uvb light one day. Would be good for the birds and ourselves 😋 We get less than 2000 hours of sun per year 😅 I think it depends on which veggies, how much you give per portion and whether they're feeding chicks (which your males obviously aren't 😋). I'm currently feeding romaine lettuce, basil and even brussels sprouts throughout the day, especially to Micky and Mini. They can eat a lettuce leave in a minute 😯 When they aren't breeding, I sometimes skip veggies for a day. Either way I only give small amounts so they can all have a small portion per day. I don't give raw spinach anymore because of the oxylates. Oh yeah, I also give sprouts a few days a week.
@@misty_blue mine love romaine lettuce , carrots some cabbage , cucumber , sprouted seeds , and i just bought some wheat grass seeds to sprout , think it cost to much for them little tubs of grass,
@@dawnjudd7941 I think they'll love the wheat grass sprouts 😁 When you feed those varied veggies I think it's fine when they get it daily 😊 As long as their droppings don't look too wet.
Sometimes they just lay an egg because they feel the urge to breed or they are hormonal, but then they stop again. It kind of comes in waves. Some birds only lay an egg and that’s it, some keep laying eggs without stopping. It shouldn’t be a problem in itself 😊

She laid 1 egg, looks like she’s been trying to push another out for hours. How long is budgie labor typically, per egg?
From my experience it doesn’t last that long. I hope your budgie is ok!
Maybe changing their place once in a while would help preventing them from laying eggs.
