She hasn't given him any reason to trust her. Communication is the absolutely number one thing in a relationship. Honestly, what she did will break a relationship faster than anything. I know the writer meant for it to be a way for her to surprise him when she finally made it to the top, but what happens if he picks up a magazine with her in it before she breaks the news to him. His first thought is going to be "I was just a toy for her. She didn't trust me to be there for her, and that's because I'm not a good enough for her highness the supermodel'. This was a horribly written story. Way too many ways that this story was just wrong.

Dude, I want to upvote you multiple times. She didn't tell him anything, and when she was displaying clear signs of cheating: man in background, being too busy to see him for 6+ weeks, once the partner catches on she begins ghosting, not to mention the anorexia. Tbh, Kou wasn't wrong for being suspicious at all. When you don't tell your partner anything about what's going on and keep secrets from them, of course they're going to be suspicious and not trust you even if they really want to. And I really don't see why she felt the need to hide the fact that she was a model from him in the first place. The whole conflict could have easily been avoided had she come clean and just told him that. He's your boyfriend and you should tell him this kind of stuff. One thing I learned a while back is that if you want to keep something a secret till an announcement/event, don't go no comms, say it's a surprise, this lessens the worries of the other party. How you communicate that however depends on a case to case basis. In this case, had she said "I have something big coming up with work, it's a surprise so I can't tell you right now" or something along this line, Kouichi would've probably felt less worried.
Fear of rejection is such a powerful negative motivator. It has the power to make any of us really stupid, leading to so many missed opportunities for companionship and lasting happiness. This was a great story. Thank you very much!

Fmc really did him dirty to not letting him see her for a very long time and not even telling him anything and when he asked how long she would be too busy for him she didn't even say anything. I would not have forgiven her for hurting me like that even if I loved her. She didn't even have any real reason not to tell him when he started to be desperate for answers.
To be honest, I agree with both sides about their argument. The guy has every right to be frustrated about the girl not telling him anything just as much as the girl has the right to keep a secret until she finally gains the courage to tell it. You know what people doing things like the female lead here is why most relations fall apart. Common sense dictates that keeping someone in the dark is equivalent to creating openings for mistrust and misunderstandings to creep in. Even if she doesn't have bad intentions as has been shown I don't think any man (or a woman for that matter if the roles are reversed) in real life would consider that they should have been more understanding as the male lead said after getting to know the truth.

I understand what she was trying to accomplish, but that was a very risky move. And had it been anyone else she would have been ghosted. During that call where she was talking about trusting her, I would not had allowed her to try and gaslight me with that nonsense. Her actions did nothing to warrant trust and left too much up to interpretation as well as look like she is no longer interested. Everything she has done are patterns of someone who is no longer interested or cheating or both. This is why I no longer do surprises in most cases, because you never know how a person is going to respond.

Fmc really did him dirty to not letting him see her for a very long time and not even telling him anything and when he asked how long she would be too busy for him she didn't even say anything. I would not have forgiven her for hurting me like that even if I loved her.
She didn't even have any real reason not to tell him when he started to be desperate for answers.
Communication and trust are important in relationships, be careful who you trust and decide what to keep.
To be honest, I agree with both sides about their argument. The guy has every right to be frustrated about the girl not telling him anything just as much as the girl has the right to keep a secret until she finally gains the courage to tell it.
He says he was a loser for getting angry. I don't blame you buddy. You're human and you can get angry, especially when you felt that your partner you trust can't trust you.
And as for the girl, I can understand why she did that. She wanted to show him how much he changed her and wants to wait for the right timing to tell him. It's a very important thing for her. People would understand better if they try and understand from her perspective; a girl completely lacking in confidence and was losing hope about her dream finally finds the confidence she needed because of her partner, felt really grateful to him, wanted to tell him in the best and most meaningful way possible.

In her eyes, she felt that she was giving back to him and the best way she can think of. We can't put logic on those feelings. To us, what she did was absolutely stupid. If you're doing something for someone, nothing else matters, especially when you're driven by strong emotions. You're so caught up in doing things that even the most obvious things becomes difficult to notice. That's why I can't blame her for her actions. She's human, she makes mistakes. Her actions wasn't the best, but it was all in good faith. And as a result of these events, their bond is lot stronger now.

You know what people doing things like the female lead here is why most relations fall apart. Common sense dictates that keeping someone in the dark is equivalent to creating openings for mistrust and misunderstandings to creep in. Even if she doesn't have bad intentions as has been shown I don't think any man (or a woman for that matter if the roles are reversed) in real life would consider that they should have been more understanding as the male lead said after getting to know the truth.
