Hi Shawn. Nice simple tie that works great anywhere and the wide gap hook really helps hold the fish. Thanks for sharing and for the reminder for me to restock my own supply of them for the coming trout season.

Thanks Tom. I need to get a few more for myself. All of the ones I ties went to the order I did.

I like the idea of using 2 colors for the indicator. Should float well.

Yes you can see different colors in different light conditions so the two color post comes in handy sometimes. This Yarn from Fulling Mills is great stuff.

Thanks a lot. I like the simple ones the best. They catch fish and you fish them harder

Thanks Shawn for another great looking fly. It's fishy looking and I like the hi-vis aspect as my eyes are as young as they used to be. Color variations are also doable as a rusty orange body is a color that I like to keep in my box. Effective color in some upcountry creeks. ThNks again. God Bless n Fish on!

Thanks a lot. The rusty orange sounds like a great color. I don't pay real close attention but most of the ants in my area are black, so I mainly keep mine black but I do throw in some brown ones every now and then.

@@HolsingersFlyShop I was at a flyshop years ago n saw it for the 1st time but not remembering where i was when i saw it as a real terrestrial. I mentioned it to the clerk n he recommended I put a couple n my fly box in case I come across where they were. I did n it work very good so I keep couple in my box for just an event. They are easily recognized as they are fluffy fuzzy n brightly colored. I recommend it and I like the rubber legs and parachute style you tied. Definitely a welcome addition to my box

I love fishing ants. We have a good supply of carpenter ants here in my part of CT. I even caught trout on ants Late April.

What part of CT do you fish? I occasionally go to NW CT. beautiful area for Fly Fishing.

I can believe that you caught them in April. I bet you could probably catch trout on them year around if you tried hard enough.

Nice job. In the Fla Keys right now. Waiting to go back to New England and the start of trout season. Good for me to be the 11th to view and second to comment. Been watching you for about 5 years now. You never disappoint! So, you got a shrimp pattern? I’ve tied several for the trip down here. Hey, how bout a freshwater shrimp or scud refresher tie? Anyway, always enjoy your work!

I just sent a few shrimp flies down to Texas for a guy. They came out great. I was thinking about doing a sow bug pattern here soon. Thanks for watching.
