back in 2010 (i think i was 8 or smth) i went on it and i remember clinging to my dad crying the entire line walk there because i didnt want to go on it because i thought it was going to be like the mummy ride

@@PanophobicPrat So, the car does rise up at the start, and then stops to look at the screen. Motion is created by linear actuators. Note that everyone shares the same large screen, all in different cars. It is why the teen sorta sat there at 6:05, whilst attendants were busy getting everyone ready.
I think that all the carts move at the same time.
All the references and inclusion of so many characters and just how creative everything is actually makes me want to tear up lol! They did an amazing job with this ride, I love it!
I love this ride so much! I love how they managed to get almost every character into it and those who werent in it were in the line cue and stuff! Makes me very happy!

I spent a huge load of time in Orlando theme parks, growing up...experiencing them all. However, the one thing that never changes no matter which park/ride you are on is the enthusiasm from the workers/cast members as they load you in.
At least 15 years from the mid-70's into the 90's, seeing many changes, except for every ride loading members. "Go here, sit there, enjoy the thing...You're recording? thass alright..."

Do NOT ride this if you suffer at all from motion sickness. Technically, it's a very cool ride but it messes with your equilibrium. I actually threw up on it - car 6.

The reason how is because you're just being pushed around by a crane and the screen uses special visual effects to simulate speed. Also, the crane will flip around and stuff

Also, there isn't any recording allowed because the material in the ride is copyrighted so therefore, it's not allowed to be recorded. I went on this ride, tried recording and during the ride, the came over the loud speakers to tell me to turn it off

All the possible ways are... either they are staff, or friends of the staff... or they did it the proper way and paid the park for permission... or they went on a dead day and either asked really nicely/flirted and/or bribed the staff to let them film... or if foreign they played the "no English" card.

This was and still is my daughters favourite ride haha. She was six the first time we went to Florida and all she talked about when we got home was the Simpsons ride. I thought she would've preferred the Disney ones, but no. We were at Universal all last week for half term and rode it about four times

When I rode this the first time, it actually felt like you're on a Rollercoaster. It's quite amazing that a motion sim can do that.
When I rode this ride for the first time in 2010 at Universal Studios Orlando, the ride caused me to jump at the end when there was a "buzzing" noise (and the car vibrated).
I rode this a few times when it was the Back To The Future Ride and somewhere I have the video on a tape and when I find it I will convert it and put it on.

Love this ride! It has a good sense of humor and is super fun! I think the only part I didn't like was when Maggie used the audience as a pacifier. It was a funny gag, but from what I remember the jerking of the car was really uncomfortable for me.

When I was like 5 and I went to that ride every thing felt real my when there was the drop it felt hella realistic now I’m 13 it doesn’t feel intense anymore
My kids and I will be there on the 23rd of November! The last time I was at Universal was years ago when king kong and "back to the future" rides were newly built! I never got the chance to ride "back to the future", but I'm excited to try this Simpson ride for the first time!☺

Basically yes. Nowadays, though, some of the dialogue is altered for whatever reason.
Yeah, with a few differences:
Different building layout
Loud mechanics
No photo is taken
Some different dialogue during the actual ride
A cut towards the end of the safety video
Krusty appears on the tv as the cart is coming down, not when it is down completely. He presses a button instead of taking a pic
Cars 1, 2 and 3 have closed captioning in Florida, whereas Cars 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 have it in Hollywood.
Stricter filming policies
On Levels 1 and 3, the information booth plus a few decorations are missing. Level 2 and all 3 levels in Hollywood have them.
Orlando’s has a dedicated child swap area.
