It's because of the Devastator, the Imperial-I class Star Destroyer become my favourite Star War ship. And I become a fan of the Galactic Empire and I didn't care they where the bad guys.
Would love to hear the history of the Star Destroyer Hammer. It's from the old DOS TIE fighter game. I still remember the relief I felt, even as a child, when the hammer came in-system while I was surrounded and outnumbered
what's also cool about ships like the devastator is that ships that tend to survive many conflicts tend to gain a mythical status and i wouldn't be surprised if this was the case. I'd also be cool to have a historical timeline for other such infamous ships such as: thrawn's chimaera, darth vader's executor, Emperor palpatines eclipse etc. As always LONG LIVE THE EMPIRE!
When they made Rogue One, I wish they would have stuck closer to the story with Load Tion. They could have focused more on Leia and had a big space battle to get the Death Star plans off the transport that was taking them to the Imperial vaults. But to do that, we would have been looking at a de-aged CGI Leia for two plus hours and I know nobody would want to see that.
Hey, you did the video I voted for. I’ve been tied up with work the last couple of months and haven’t had time to comment on your videos. Thanks for doing this video. I really wanted to know the timeline of these ISD.
I understand your point and the Canon story has defined far more around how the rebels stole the technical plans. Also, Orson Krennic is a great character 👍
@ImperialsExplainedStarWars Perfectly played by Ben Mendelsohn making Orson Krennic a powerful, evil but tragic villain. Plus, his character is so quotable and funny at the same time.
Love the History of the GFFA & this ship particular ! one pronounciation correction ... Tantive IS Said (Tan-Tee-VEE). Not Tan-Tiv. the 'ie' Is Not Silent.
@ncl1701 The SD carrying Vader to the 2nd DS was actually an imperial-class II SD. As the Devastator was an imperial-class I, your answer is no, it wasn't l'm afraid.
The Devastator is an absolutely legendary ship
Totally agree 👍
@@ImperialsExplainedWill you do a Canon lore Devastator video

These flagship videos are very enjoyable, hopefully Chimaera and Right to Rule make an appearance
Excellent timeline explaintion on the Devestator! I expect my turn next

Oh... That's beautiful
Krennic's line 👍☺️
@@ImperialsExplained One of my favorite characters in SW. We need more empire content, hopefully the tales of the empire show will be great!
An iconic ship within the Star Wars story, thanks for another great video
Thanks my friend 👍

The Devastator just wanted to be like a World Devastator
Honestly I prefer the cannon story of how the rebellion stole the Death Star plans
I think everyone does

@liampender2359 Agreed, like relatable and ruthless traits in an Empire, which is a harsh environment to serve within, as he finds out.
Much more, the way that film covers the story makes it one of the best in the franchise
Now this looks like the kinda lore channel for me.
Thanks 👍 you are welcome too.
For the empire. Holonet news says tales of the empire are coming soon . I do hope this is compnor, and not rebel propaganda
Sadly it was another crap show
Did you see the trailer for Tales Of The Empire? It looks epic!!
Awesome bro can you do a rank video on Army operations please
Long live the Empire.

Was the Devastator the ship that took Vader to the second Death Star? It could have been the Death Squadron's secondary flagship.

@@ImperialsExplainedwell the devastator was converted to the mark II specifications with a new tower and main weapons
naaah Tion was a simp
Krennic is a better character for me 👍
