This was such a good interview! So insightful, definitely needs more views.. feel like you made her comfortable enough to properly opened up, loved it!
Uuuugh! 2 beautiful to be hiding behind shades. Well, its a good thing she's not doing Iranian music. She could be from Mars or a direct descendant of Aphrodite's. Don't matter, she is FYNE!!! Been listening to her music and while it is good there is something missing. Or, I'm missing. Hopefully i get to see her show in 2020. Thanks for this. I knew absolutely nothing about her.
i was born and raised in LA, we are nice people and you definitely can have genuine friendships with us Angelinos. we are not all in the entertainment business. most of us just love LA, so we live here.

Soo uhhh.....anybody wanna tell me who this chicc is...however I cant hate on her choice of music STEVIE WONDER IS BY FARR 1 OF THE 10 GREATEST OF ALL TIME IN ANY GENRE OF MUSIC
I am so sick of this culture their. Everyone wants to get rich off of black culture without the consequences of being black. Why can't she sing the music of her heritage? Why is everyone lacking on to the black American sound? Then they have the nerve to say black Amerixans don't have a culture. This is some bullshit!
@Koolin' Wit K Teena Marie is one of my favorite artist. What famous celebrity Teena Marie was pretending to be? He voice was authentic and so was her style. Sade is due for another album she comes out every 10 years what’s this impersonator going to do when the real thing is touring? Teena wasn’t studio made unlike this one.
@lakeside321 ok, so you feel like she's impersonating Sade, gotcha.. but hear me out... in your post, you said, "Why can't she sing the music of her heritage?" Right? If Teena Marie sang the music of her heritage, we wouldn't have the amazing songs that we love so much by her. Teena Marie was heavily inspired by black artists and culture, too. See, in your comment, you weren't talking about impersonations, or I wouldn't have commented. But you were stating about non-black ppl profiting off of black culture, and that's why I mentioned Teena Marie because she's not black and her music was all up in through our culture, lol.. but you probably should have added something about impersonation because any other reader is gonna be like well do you have that same smoke for Teena Marie?" If you had that same smoke for Teena as you do Snoh I wouldn't have even commented back, lol.. but now you just contradicted yourself by your post. You don't want Snoh or any non black person to make black music and profit off our culture but Teena Marie, who is not black and sings black music and is immersed in black culture, is one of your favorite artist? See what I'm saying? Your post and then your reply contradict each other. My apologies about the length...
Koolin' Wit K Teena Marie was the real deal. She had a love for r&b that her very own people refused to play her songs at their radio stations. She married a black man and lived amongst black people and raised her daughter within black culture. Unlike the impersonator, she’s wearing black culture like the Kardashians. Nothing about her says creator everything screams safe. It’s almost like she’s trying to become her completely, it’s scarey . Most artist are influenced by other creators but when you are literally trying to imitate an artist from mannerism, style of dress and energy… it’s body snatching. Then again Sade is half black I am not surprise a nonblack is emulating another sister. Tina Marie sang soulful RB because it was in her essence . She was in fact Portuguese she didn’t sing to become popular and make money she San because it was her true calling.
@ Koolin' Wit K I forgot to mention Teena Marie was also American. She was born in California and had with roots from Louisiana. She helped produce hits with Barry Gordy for Motown artist.
Shes so talented, humble and beautiful. Hoping she explodes with her career, she's got the classic vibe that is much needed in the industry
Her music is so good. Im glad the person behind it matches that.
