I feel like Morgott would be better if they more so leaned into the bestial nature. Like he's already half way there, some tail touch up and maybe some things on his face like torn skin, antlers and fur like he could turn into a beast at any moment. Him being a devout follower of the Golden Order would pretty much be a good reason for him to be half way to a cleric beast. Though he shouldn't have Nito's sword either, regular cane thing would work better. Godrick is pretty much as grotesquely bloodborne as he can get, the whole grafting thing feels like something some deranged Byrgenworth Scholar would do to try and achieve god hood. So base game godrick fits with that level of insanity. Rennala could be better, I understand the vibe there. Her sweetings though could be more like the juvenile great ones, or a mix of those and Rom. The idea that she's Whilem but female could be better, again the vibe. Seeing as Whilem's whole thing is base on Rom and the Moon. Considering phase 2 and where that ends up it's fitting but something about it feels off, maybe its the goggles? The hat is ok but I feel like the goggles aren't really the best fit for her. Maybe bandages would've worth better. Onto Maliketh... If you have to think "How to make a boss that's already a beast BloodBorne like." This ain't it. Remove the armor? Sure, add more fur? Yes. Total redesign? No. He should have been one the easier ones. Keep the bandages, splatter blood on them, make it seem like he wears the cloak to hide what he turned into. Re-color him or two tone him black and white. Maybe broken horns on his head, keep the thing around the hand with some Vicar Amelia aesthetic. Even the Black Blade could've remained as is, beasts don't tend to use weapons but Maliketh could've easily been a mix of Amelia and Ludwig, the rune of Death having a tole on him and break him down. Make it seem like he's struggling to remain human but fully embraces beast hood in phase 2 as he gets desperate to end things. Radagon could've been more of a Gherman like character. Have him be a hunter who has been broken down time after time with the Elden Beast. A hunter garb that's been stitched up in places to give the illusion that he's never stopped fighting until we come along, where he's broken and defeated. Keep the hole in his body for the idea that we got here just to late to stop him from becoming a puppet of the Elden Beast. The idea where we're fighting someone who has just been defeated would make the boss fight interesting as one can imagine we only won against him because he was so brutally defeated before hand. I have nothing to say on the Elden Beast, like everyone else that's a design that fits. Lastly Malenia or dear video maker as you humbly referred to her "Radahn's B!t(#" She deserved better, she looks less bloodborne and more dark souls. Using inspiration from Lady Maria and Father Gascoigne, I think a mixture of the two while having some Malenia in there could be a decent blend. Phase one, give her a hunter's garb just like Radagon. You can give it small details like belts around the right leg (A superstition in bloodborne where when hunter's first started they believe the beast curse crept up the right leg.) I like the bandages on the left arm, those should stay. Change the fact she's a corpse, that doesn't fit in with bloodborne. Show her prosthetics, make them dirty but not ruined or falling apart. The blind fold cap and a hunter hat could make an interesting combo to pretend she's trying to blind herself from the horror she's becoming in phase 2. Phase 2 Malenia is where the ideas shine more. My biggest gripe? The wings. I get the whole butterfly thing but it doesn't work. Change them to the wings Death Bird's have, a black set of raven wings would make a good start. Keep the prosthetics, but maybe add fur around where the prosthetics meet the flesh like she hand her limbs amputated in a failed attempt to stop beast curse from spreading. Her arm being in bandages could have sharp fingernails and fur peaking from the bandages too. For the rest of her, I think she could have fur on where the scarlet rot is, but not have it around the eyes. Instead her eyes should be a bright yellow. The color of the fur should be black in order to fit in with the crow wings, and she should have scars from multiple battles fought with beasts. The main ideas of bloodborne for me 1.) Is that a character should never wear armor, there's lore in bloodborne saying why and it's beast one needs to be quick handling beasts. Gehrman understood this, as people who wore armor would be easily killed due to slow movement and the fact beasts could cleave through armor with ease. We do see some instances of armor in bloodborne but there's also a lore reason there too. The Cainhurst Armor set is the only real suit of armor in the game but the set is made up of silver, not steel. Silver is lighter, and still gave off the knightly nature that Cainhurst castle wished to keep. 2.) Although there's a few places where the undead exist in bloodborne, it's scarce. The one reborn, reanimated scourge beasts, and cramped caskets. Bloodborne leans more into the body horror side of horror if anything. Basic enemies are already turning from the curse, people's limbs elongating and disproportionate. Faces and skin distorting. 3.) The gothic and barbaric nature of the world. You're seeing people who's minds have been shattered from endless fighting, people who go to the extreme to make sure it all ends. People refusing to accept their situation and being brought back to reality to the point their desperation to escape drives them insane. Some people end up messes while other grow in violence. To anyone who read this, I apologise if I went one way too long.
@@theobell2002 Oh contraire my dear friend. For you see there is also the Abhorrent Beast. He disguises himself as the Suspicious Beggar you find in the Forbidden woods He would start killing off Oedon chapel residents if you send him there, or if you attack him in anyway for a bit he will transform saying "You got a screw loose or is it your animal intuition." He will continue to speak until killed."
Bloodborne plays with the idea of Eldritch Horror, not so much gothic horror. Of course it does have elements but the bosses are more along the lines of Body Horror and Eldritch Horror with a few gothic horror elements tossed in for the environments. These boss designs are cool but they don’t feel like Bloodborne models. Maliketh was already pretty close to a Bloodborne character since he’s a beast and it’s the same with Morgott. The Two and Three Fingers as well as Metyr were also good examples of Eldritch Horror vibes because they just are unsettling to look at. Just because you make something looks super unpleasant or gothic doesn’t mean it will come across as Bloodborne-esque.
I feel like the bait and switch is effective in BB bc it goes from gothic to eldritch; the whole “spooky gothic” thing going on with Margit isn’t too bad of a direction to go for early game bosses to capture that (Margit/Morgott looks like a more armoured Shadow of Yharnam, for example) but yeah; all of these are just the bosses turned into ugly zombies. Not the best recreation
yeah, Bloodborne's design leans more towards unpleasantness than full on disgust. Also ontop of that, i feel like they were actually more subtle than what this mod is going for, the designs here are too much in your face.
Gotta love that the only boss who hasn't been altered is Godrick. I can imagine the pitch meeting now. "Ah dear mod developers! I cannot wait to see how you make me look more grotesque then my currently radiant form!" "... Godrick take a seat"
Cool concepts. I they the blacks they use are too dark for the actual game tho. Like this is empty void when they need something lighter that lets us see the character’s design so it all doesn’t blend together so much. Though oily armor is cool
An impressive undertaking and very well done, however Resident Evil would be a more accurate description of the mod. Bloodborne was more eldritch horror at least starting around the second half with the first half being more werebeast horror, this looks a lot more like zombie/abomination horror which is right up Resident Evils alley. The difference being you can tell that these things are human or at least humanoid common with Zombie/Abomination whereas Eldritch is more of the vaguely humanoid but clearly something’s wrong or off feeling you get from the movements and general vibe of being within the creature’s vicinity.
I think all of these models are cool, but they feel more like something out of Silent Hill, not a Fromsoft game. Miyazaki has stated that designing enemies with elegance, dignity, and refinement is a core part of his design philosophy, and these monsters don't really portray that, they just go for the gross splatter type of body horror, rather than something that was once noble but has been twisted and corrupted. Ludwig, Godrick, and even the Gaping Dragon are all great examples of the fronsoft brand of body horror that still shows the dignity of the monster. The elden beast redesign was great, but I feel like Morgott, Maliketh, and Malenia were pretty major misses and felt a lot like the redesign of the Fat Nobles in the Demon Souls Remake, which was plagued by the same issues.
I really can't say much for the whole mod since A, I'm a console player who can't even get mods and B, I haven't seen very much of this mod, but to be completely honest Rennala's and Elden Beast's reskins are the only two that seem very Bloodborne-y, mostly cause Rennala's reskinned to a Choir Member and Elden Beast is The One Reborn's horrible disgusting brother (seriously amazing work with it, Graceborne Elden Beast just might be the most Bloodborne thing I've ever seen. But the rest of the bosses look nothing like anything in Bloodborne, not even stuff in the Chalice Dungeons, or have the same vibe.
As a person that played Bloodborne as their first soul's game and have beaten the game way too many times to count, I wanna provide actual criticism other than "This isn't bloodborne" Firstly, make the people human again. Most people in Bloodborne are just normal people, not zombies. At most, there'll be a guy that transforms into a beast (Example being Gascoigne and Laurence), not zombies. Secondly, get rid of the armor. There are rarely any characters in Bloodborne that have armor. Most of them wear garbs, clocks, and suits. Bloodborne is a much more modern game in terms of when it takes place, and big heavy metal armor just isn't practical in a world where people can shoot you. Thirdly, scary doesn't equal Bloodborne. While yes, Bloodborne does take inspiration from horror tropes, it isn't trying to be a horror game. The mod feels like it's trying it's hardest to make creepy and scary designs when that just isn't the vibe bloodborne has. More often than not, Bloodborne's character have a more cool and "badass" nature to them. I think a good comparison you can make here with my points is Lady Maria and Malenia, since they're both similar characters and even have similar opening cutscenes I would say. Lady Maria, dispite assumingly being within the Astral Clocktower for years at this point, is still relatively clean kept. Her outfit has not cuts or tears in it with the exception of her cape, and only a small red spot stains the white of her outfit. A little messy, but nothing too drastic. And at the end of the day, she's still just a person. Now if we take Melenia, she is nothing like Maria. Her face is rotten, as if she's a decaying corpse. She wear heavy armor over fancy clothing, and what little clothing she does wear is tattered and ruined. And instead of being clean kept, bloody stains cover her outfit, as if she just got out of a brutal battle just barely. All and all, the mod creator really needs to tone down the horror and I would reconsider redoing nearly everything besides maybe Elden Beast because they actually did it justice a fair bit, seeing as it's a god and Bloodborne's gods tend to be a bit more on the Gorey side (Moon Presence being a good example). I do also like the bosses shown here, it's just not the Bloodborne style. Keep up the good work 👍
it's crazy SOME people are getting so mad over a fan project, people should be grateful this was ever made public in the first place. I understand it still has a lot of work that needs to be done, but I don't think this controversy is necessary.
Maliketh should be a beast since he’s already feral. While the elden beast should be something more like a great one, like Kos. However I like the fact that Godrick is the same, I actually thought “he’s already from bloodborne”
It seems to really only bring out the more gorey side of Bloodborne and still keeps to medieval style of elden ring while trying to be industrial/ victorian like Bloodborne. It isn't fully finished, the mod that is, so in the future we could so more alien-fied and lovecraftian aesthetics which we enjoyed in Bloodborne. Alongside more victorian styled buildings.
To everyone who says that this does not feel Bloodborne at all: The main bosses are mostly humanoid, and then look at Bloodborne's humanoid bosses: They all have this same aesthetic of being crippled, half dead and deformed while not being an incomprehensible horror. The reason why you don't see a lot of those horrors in these cutscenes is because all of the abominations and monsters in Bloodborne are beasts. Elden Beast and Maliketh (especially phase 2) really capture the Bloodborne tone for me, as they are both beasts and hideously deformed while becoming an actual horror. Maliketh gives off strong Vicar Amelia or even Paarl vibes while Elden Beast reminds me of Amygdala. What I'm trying to say is that the mod simply cannot give off straight up "oh my god incomprehensible horrors" vibes because most main bosses are humanoid, therefore they are not beasts which could be modded into monstrosities. Also, the mod is not finished at all, the dev is actively working on it and giving regular updates.
No they are not, they feel more like silent hill. There are a lot of human bosses that look well, human for a lack of a better term. Maliketh would've been fine. Majority of the bosses need no change besides renalla, radabeast, maybe ryakard, radahn, and Morgot.
Maliketh doesn’t give me any vibes related to Paarl and especially not Amelia. I can see what you mean with Elden Beast reminding you of Amygdala or even the One Reborn but idk it feels like it’s still missing something there.
there are already some bosses like base Maliketh in Bloodborne tbh, the Maliketh in this mod is just way too over the top, it feels more like a Resident Evil monster than a Bloodborne boss. the thing about Bloodborne is that their designs are much more subtle with the horrific aspects than the ones in this mod, 90% of the horror from Bloodborne are from the lore and the map/world its in, not in its boss designs, so yeah the modder definitely got the wrong thing from Bloodborne imo.
Rennala's design has to be my favorite, the children's creepy designs remind me of Rom but rather "human imitations of it" or a homunculus, I think it fits incredibly well with the bloodborne theme of birth. Great video, thanks for showcasing this mod! Can't wait to see what else they do with it
I feel like some bosses were done dirty here especially maliketh and malenia, like i get what they were going for but t still isn't conveyed good enough
That Malenia phase 1 design is really cool, like she got chopped up and is still putting herself back together. Is Radagon supposed to be a cainhurst knight?
Well hopefully as it gets worked on the game changes completely to a bit of a darker atmosphere and of course a bit less of just reused assets! Good luck and i look forward to seeing whatcha do! Ill keep the channel bookmarked just in case the final product becomes worth it!
i see all of y'all complaining about the designs, but you have to take in account about how the bosses movesets are designed, the visual changes are still ass but its kind of awkward to make a elegant moveset fit into a grotesque body and design. thats my opinion tho
Margit literally says "In search of the Elden Ring" Not to mention Rogier also says "Long before the shattering of the Elden Ring" and those are only 2 examples. did you skip every cutscene&dialogue?
I honestly feel that they should have made phase 1 of Malenia to be more like Lady Maria. Not a horror from the start with the release from the blossom as the horror. In contrast the opposite could have been done for Rennala, where the initial would have been a husk of her former self, and the phase 2 recreation from Ranni's memory be her in her original pristine form.
That sounds amazing. I don't have much knowledge about BloodBorne since I haven't played it. But what you said sounds perfect. Hope we all get a big update in future.
For alpha this doesn't look too bad (tho yes, it appears that some of the asstes were "flipped", which I have no problem with). But this doesn't scream bloodborne, more like a weird mix of silent hill, dark souls 3 and Lies of P. A great example of it was Malenia. I would say toning down the theme of body horror is a must right now, especially for first phases of the bosses. Though on the second phase unveiling this dark horror theme of rot and bestial creepiness, as was done with Malenia, once again, was amazing. Keep up the work! It still needs to be done, but right now parts of the project look promising and intriguing.
This whiffs pretty hard on the Bloodborne theme, but it does have its own unique vibe of “Evil Within and Lies of P had a fucked-up kid” that’s pretty cool on its own. It’s kinda got a dark fantasy feel.
Margit/Morgott has a really cool design looking like a twisted Reaper or Hunter in some regards. I do think for Maliketh they should've went for a more beastly Grim Reaper cloaked look as well since that's what that character represents. Don't have too strong an opinion on the other designs.
Love the looks but these look way more like something from dark souls or elden ring itself these dont really look like bloodborne bosses maybe except the elden beast
I think we can all agree, bosses weren’t the best, but the new costumes aren’t half bad. I just think that Bloodborne and Elden Ring just don’t mix. Slavering beasts rabid hunters and great old ones are different from the bosses general eloquence and personality. However, Elden ring with Bloodborne gameplay isn’t a bad sell.
i get what everyone is saying about it not really capturing the essence of bloodborne, i do, and i agree. to me, its more silent hill esque, rather than bloodborne. but it doesn't matter if its bloodborne, if its silent hill, if its the damn teletubbies, it's still REALLY FUCKING IMPRESSIVE, and this was all done by ONE GUY. and another thing is, this is a mod for ELDEN RING. of course its not gonna feel like bloodborne, you know why? ITS NOT. do you guys really expect ONE GUY to COMPLETELY redesign and remake EVERY BOSS AND FACET OF THE GAME just for you to feel more at home? he did his best, and whether you like it or not, his best is pretty damn good.
The models are good, but they don't have the “Bloodborne vibe”, they look more like something from Dark Souls. Only Renalla and the Elden beast are in the "Bloodborne appearance".
It's always impressive the number of people who would never in their lives say something's shit in real life and yet could never pull off half the work and effort of making something this big, all from one person.
This comment section is another proof that the Soulborne community is absolute dogshit these days. One person put in effort to create a sick mod that is still in the alpha stages, and there's not even a single positive comment found. Also, pretending like these models couldn't be in a Bloodborne game is a stretch. The models look good, the lighting looks atmospheric, and from what I've seen, it's going to be fun to play through with the weapons added.
These designs aint bad and kinda fire but...did you fr turn my boy elden beast into the moon presence?? Bro having a huge spider neck with ribs poppin' out.
not trying to detract from the massive effort of the mod, but changing the boss designs without changing the boss rooms or the music is very immersion breaking.
Malenia's design echoed more House of the Dead boss vibes than Bloodborne. Also, it might've looked better if it was more Lady Maria with a slight touch of H. R. Giger's biomechanical art style.
You kinda tackled an impossible task here buddy. I actually think all of these look really cool and impressive, but for them to work you have to change the area design of their surroundings. The models are all good, but they look out of place because, well... they are. FS designs its enemies with the area theyre in in mind and vice versa, so thats probably the main reason people are complaining. Other than that I think it's pretty cool, but maybe don't call it a bloodborne mod, cuz its not really similar to it much.
Ok now don’t get me wrong the designs are definitely more lovecraftian so in the same ball park as bloodborne but they lack the disgusting beauty of the original’s designs still amazing work though just not a one to one
I mean the models very clearly took a lot of work, they look badass but definitely feels like a tribute to all of the soulsborne games that’s focused on the body horror of bloodborne and ds3. I also just personally don’t like Maliketh’s redesign but that’s subjective asf.

The main ideas of bloodborne for me
1.) Is that a character should never wear armor, there's lore in bloodborne saying why and it's beast one needs to be quick handling beasts.
God damm chill brother.
@@biharifromwest I'm very passionate about bloodborne, but yeah... Got way too overboard in all of that.
Hahaha Please wait for the next big Update for this mod, It's still in Alpha stage . Since there is only one guy behind the whole mod.
Beasts cannot talk (Ludwig is an exception).
@@theobell2002 Oh contraire my dear friend. For you see there is also the Abhorrent Beast. He disguises himself as the Suspicious Beggar you find in the Forbidden woods
He would start killing off Oedon chapel residents if you send him there, or if you attack him in anyway for a bit he will transform saying "You got a screw loose or is it your animal intuition." He will continue to speak until killed."
I cannot wait to see how you make me look more grotesque then my currently radiant form!"
"... Godrick take a seat"
Is missing a lot of that "alien" feeling that Bloodborne had, nice try ig
Elden Beast looks really good but everyone else looks like the same burnt corpse covered in armor
Maliketh : 👁️
The one eye ghoul
Im getting more Dark souls 3 vibes than bloodborne. I mean the elden beast looks cool. But the others look like dark souls
My modded character: **pulls out Zimmerman shotgun** dont care. 💥
maliketh wouldve been perfect for a beast design
As a person that played Bloodborne as their first soul's game and have beaten the game way too many times to count, I wanna provide actual criticism other than "This isn't bloodborne"
Firstly, make the people human again.
Keep up the good work 👍
Thank you for giving actual Criticism🗿
Every new boss is just "make them black and grey, add more eyeballs and ribcage"
it's crazy SOME people are getting so mad over a fan project, people should be grateful this was ever made public in the first place. I understand it still has a lot of work that needs to be done, but I don't think this controversy is necessary.
Why is Godrick complete unchanged, he coulda been like one of those big executioner boys walking around Hemwick
He already looks gruesome
@@biharifromwest Mhhh 50/50 I'd say
Maliketh should be a beast since he’s already feral. While the elden beast should be something more like a great one, like Kos.
However I like the fact that Godrick is the same, I actually thought “he’s already from bloodborne”
Haha I haven't played BloodBorne so I don't know.
Some good, others not, lets hope they do my boy Godfrey good
🤗 Patient is key BTW DLC update is out.
The mods look great definitely a “Silent Hill” vibe I’m getting much darker with a steam punk style! Music for the Elden Beast was a great choice!
Thanks You for Watching
Not enough Beasts and Kin in this. If the guy’s just going for gore and horrific shit then it ain’t truly Bloodborne.
I can't tell if it is elden Ring Bloodborne or dark souls
as a bloodborne fan, it's pretty good for just one guy. really fits that "reality and humanity f-ed up severely, welcome to the consequences" vibe.
I mean, elden beast looks cool
Looks more Like ds1/the suffering to me.
Elden beast was the only bloodborne esc one
Godrick being his regular self is so funny
Rennala looks rlly good
This is more Silent Hill type beat imo
That Malenia phase 1 design is really cool, like she got chopped up and is still putting herself back together. Is Radagon supposed to be a cainhurst knight?
Yes
Well hopefully as it gets worked on the game changes completely to a bit of a darker atmosphere and of course a bit less of just reused assets! Good luck and i look forward to seeing whatcha do! Ill keep the channel bookmarked just in case the final product becomes worth it!
I love how maliketh’s redesign looks he was NOT done dirty
No.
We just need more victorian era buildings across the Lands Between.
i for one like that this mod isnt just trying to copy bloodborne and is instead combining high and dark fantasy aethetics
i see all of y'all complaining about the designs, but you have to take in account about how the bosses movesets are designed, the visual changes are still ass but its kind of awkward to make a elegant moveset fit into a grotesque body and design. thats my opinion tho
In Elden ring. It is never referenced as the Elden ring, they call it the great rune of the demigods or to mend the ring.
Margit literally says "In search of the Elden Ring"
Not to mention Rogier also says "Long before the shattering of the Elden Ring"
and those are only 2 examples. did you skip every cutscene&dialogue?
@@PIXEL-yt3fu Doesn't Gideon also mention Elden Ring?
@@Aleksandr_Skrjabin knowing Gideon, most likely

Do we have any info on when the full version might come out?
Sadly no, but it should come out soon.
Artorias sword with radagon ??? + elden beast now is a real beast 😂
It is what it is 🗿
Thanks for watching
Margit/Morgott has a really cool design looking like a twisted Reaper or Hunter in some regards. I do think for Maliketh they should've went for a more beastly Grim Reaper cloaked look as well since that's what that character represents. Don't have too strong an opinion on the other designs.
Understandable brother.
Love the looks but these look way more like something from dark souls or elden ring itself these dont really look like bloodborne bosses maybe except the elden beast
it's funny how godrick was untouched because he already looks right out of Bloodborne
How? The new patches just come out. How did you play the mod without problems?
There are problems like game crash and lag but it happens sometimes. I'll try new version later.
Thanks for watching
This looks amazing... Not bloodborn like... Just amazing
ELDEN BEAST LOOKS SO COOL!!!
Pretty sure margit is rocking grave lord neros greatsword
This comment section is another proof that the Soulborne community is absolute dogshit these days. One person put in effort to create a sick mod that is still in the alpha stages, and there's not even a single positive comment found. Also, pretending like these models couldn't be in a Bloodborne game is a stretch. The models look good, the lighting looks atmospheric, and from what I've seen, it's going to be fun to play through with the weapons added.
It’s kinda funny Godrick just hasn’t changed
These designs aint bad and kinda fire but...did you fr turn my boy elden beast into the moon presence?? Bro having a huge spider neck with ribs poppin' out.
This looks nothing like Bloodborne. What you've done here is a fanmade Dark Souls 4.
It's still in Alpha stage
The creator will update it, in the near future
Stay tuned
So, basically, Paint it Black
not trying to detract from the massive effort of the mod, but changing the boss designs without changing the boss rooms or the music is very immersion breaking.
Malenia's design echoed more House of the Dead boss vibes than Bloodborne.
Also, it might've looked better if it was more Lady Maria with a slight touch of H. R. Giger's biomechanical art style.
The rennala reskin is insanely well done, bravo! (Also calling malenia radhans bitch +100 style points).
Other than that I think it's pretty cool, but maybe don't call it a bloodborne mod, cuz its not really similar to it much.
this looks really cool!
I think its better if you change they look and made them more human
This should be rebranded to more of a Silent hill mod, it doesnt feel like any art direction of Bloodbourne at all
Understandable
This looks like evil Elden ring
looks very bloodborne to me. Don't know what anyone else is talking about. Like one guy said and now every one else is.
I'm getting tortured griffith vibes from the Malenia design, very nice
If only I had the game on PC😭😭
You can get it on PC, or do you mean Bloodborne? Because I sure want that on PC
This is actually pretty cool and awesome to see!
I enjoy all of these designs quite a lot, though as said by many others, i dont get much of a bloodborne feel
Ok now don’t get me wrong the designs are definitely more lovecraftian so in the same ball park as bloodborne but they lack the disgusting beauty of the original’s designs still amazing work though just not a one to one
This looks so sick!
I mean the models very clearly took a lot of work, they look badass but definitely feels like a tribute to all of the soulsborne games that’s focused on the body horror of bloodborne and ds3. I also just personally don’t like Maliketh’s redesign but that’s subjective asf.
Why y’all hating on a mod bro? Just don’t play it if it doesn’t feel like blood borne
