Amazing, I really enjoyed the insight into challenges you faced engineering the model Vs the real thing, really fascinating! I'd love to see more of this with your other projects! Keep up the incredible work you do! 😃
Most appreciated to see the 'insider' view of how you produce this wonderful steam locomotive Manor Class. Excellent video presentation and production. Well done Accurascale. Looking forward to run one on my layout ! Thanks for sharing. Kind regards, Filip from France.
Its fair to say that the attention to detail and the effort that has gone into this is shaping this to be a real great product! I'm looking forward to seeing it! When are we likely to see these released?
Fantastic looking models and a great video. Thanks. Just a note that the GWR one looks to be Granville Manor and not Fringford as stated. I've got Granville on pre-order 🙂
I have a DCC ready Erlestoke Manor on pre order. If I did get round to DCC fitting my layout I may look into sound fitting it as I know GWR two tone whistles can play tunes and I have seen a few drivers at the Severn Valley Railway playing a tune on some of the GWR locomotives.
Do you supply two tenders so you can replicate the practice of the tender variants being swapped around all the time as they didn't follow the same routine of overhauls as locomotives. Even happens in preservation.
Do you permit the buyer to select tender variant as per their specific needs for that particular loco in their chosen era and chosen time frame within that era? Just seems an odd choice given you've been hyping this and taking preorders for an awfully long time one presumes to help estimate optimal initial run volume in order to make your desired return after amortisation of your capital expenditure on the product and gone to these lengths of detail while talking up how the buyer gets to choose what bits are fitted or not to negotiate curves then completely miss the target on being able to preorder tender variations which would be quite easy given the huge window you guys have on preordering before decorated samples are even in your hands, probably before engineering samples are even in hand. Would it have been that hard to have a drop down select a tender menu at least for direct orders and then instruct the factory on numbers of each variation? Anyway I'm sure no one else will raise this so keen are the upper echelons of model railway content producers to be in your good books/use your success in some pathetic point scoring excersise between manufacturers. 🤣
My "Southern Region" branch line will be having one of these on its roster. If it isn't justified prototypically then "tough!", these are too nice to turn down. My 4mm scale spotters will be ecstatic!
Looks amazing - now going to pre-order one (or two!). Just one question - what are the shed codes on these locomotives - I have tried zooming in on the pictures but can't make them out. (Personally I would be happy with any Cornish shed codes - hint hint!)
I don't know whether it's the lighting in this video and photo images, but the BR Green looks too light coloured, and the lining appears orange on 7812. That aside, these appear to be lovely models and it'll be interesting to see them in comparison to Dapol's models!
As per our update when the samples first arrived earlier this year, we will be tweaking the colours, particularly around lining. Thanks for the feedback!
Nice! I have my Erlestoke sound fitted Manor on order and can't wait to get it! I note your comments on reducing tender removal instances where possible but will it be possible to fit crew without detaching the tender?
Excellent video. I volunteer on P-Way at the Gloucestershire Warwickshire so it will come as no surprise to you that I have Dinmore Manor on order. I'm intrigued by the TRS live steam system although not yet seen it in the flesh. I belive Hornby are bringing out some locos with something very similar. Any views on that from Accurascale?
Can't wait lol! Just wondering if they will be released with Matt finish as seen in the video or preferably a satin sheen please? Also, are there any future plans to tool the slightly larger tenders pulled behind the manors at all ? Many thanks
@@accurascaleuk1427 many thanks, really looking forward to grabbing one or two... Or more lol - they look stunning and to set a new benchmark in RTR 00 steam locomotives. Cheers
it is possible to add additional details to models like headlights/lights on the smokebox, lamp irons, and rear lights on the tender in an accessory bag or not?
Love the diecast connecting rods and wheel centres look pretty good too. Would be interesting to here your take on colour matching the Great Western green livery. Is it done like this? ua-cam.com/video/TkZFuKHXa7w/v-deo.html
Nice looking model but PLEASE replace that joke of a 3-pole motor with a decent 5-pole motor and Get Rid of That Stupid, monstrosity of a massive Bulk Box that you place the model in. Dapol wins Hands-Down in these areas and is a far superior performer from start to finish too. You could say that I am a tad disappointed or you could say that I'm totally P***ed-Off with such an over-priced and over-bulky packaging. Just for the record, we're presently trying to accommodate a decent 5-pole brush-motor (No Coreless/brushless Rubbish in this workshop!)....

Thanks Steve! We certainly will be doing more in the future!
Really appreciate the attention to detail and quality. Factories in the UK would be good and prototypical too!
A brilliant video I have a lined b r model can not wait thankyou for the video

Can't wait to get one, has to be Dinmore! 😉
excellent choice!

Cannot wait! Have 3 on order, the other Manor simply doesn't look right in the boiler
Couldn't wait any longer (ordered Jan 2022) so recently (Sept) bought an available Dapol instead.
Sure the Accurascale would have been great but...
Great video, thanks for sharing. Looking forward to receiving my Torquay Manor in Sydney very soon.
Hope you enjoy it!
My dads was a fireman on Manor’s out of Canton sheds in Cardiff……

Nice video and definitely a good idea to discuss the curve radius challenges / compromises and the methods to handle such issues in model form.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Such an interesting video, especially to see the reasoning behind the decisions you make to adapt the model to work on a model railway!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Interesting to see the colour difference between the prototype locomotive and the prototype tender!
Great video, thanks for sharing the progress. Really looking forward to getting my hands on one!
all of them look phenomenal! Shame there's no 7828 "Odney" available, but I am definitely going to get an Erlstoke in lined green.
We'll have to add it to the 'run 2' list of suggestions!

Well done guys! You really take the customer experience to the next level, looking forward to receiving my Draycott Manor. Cheers Steve

I’m wondering if a stay alive works on dc control?
no, DCC only I'm afraid!
Oh well, I’ll still get one if they’re in stock in January, thanks for the help
Great presentation, thank you. 👍👍
Glad you liked it Robert!

Lovely video, any idea of around when we can expect this model now?
They've said multiple times in the video, Second half of 2022.
@@18EStudios it's changed from Q3 to Q4 with production not starting until autumn. That's a fairly broad timeframe

It will be. We will also have a handy "how to" guide on the website to help you with the process when they arrive.

We are tweaking the finish on these samples slightly. We may look at doing the bigger tenders in the future, depending on sales!

they will where appropriate!

You're not allowed to say "train set". 🙄
Only when talking about "trainset curves" - otherwise it has to be model railway:)
It's just a bit of fun :)
2nd half of this year 😂😂😂
