Awesome video my friend I really enjoyed the Bangkok trip you let us living the whole experience from shopping to street food also the city chaos 😂 thank you Willie for sharing your adventure keep it up
Thank you, Swanoaks! 80% in this video so not on my best form just yet, but one cannot always control these things when travelling! Yes the traffic and noise levels can be insane. Glad you're enjoying this series and I hope you are well too!
It could be Egg in the coffee, they do put egg in the Thai coffee , unless I’m mistaken, but I don’t know if this is how it looks when they do it! Amazing video again, very interesting part of Bangkok , Thailand is definitely on my list!
The egg in the coffee rings a bell, Bip! Pretty sure this was a tea but I thought it was a coffee haha. Amazing how the mind can play tricks on you. I still thoroughly enjoyed it. But then again, would I have enjoyed it as much if I knew it was a tea? Not too sure! Always great to explore parts off the beaten track, even in popular cities such as Bangkok. Cheers for watching!
What a contrast to Hillbrow SA I went to a couple of months ago looool everything so Clean in Bangkok , and about the parks, the councils in north London where I live have stopped maintaining the parks, all overgrown!
Hey Willie as always bro you did a fantastic job , Bangkok is awesome and can't wait for you to show us the rest of Thailand , stay safe brother and keep up the good work 👊👍
You are a trooper, Willie, only feeling 80% and trying street food! It looked very good and a bargain price too. The park was beautiful and immaculately kept😊. I think they do try and police littering here in the U.K but it is a shambles as usual. Thank goodness you kept your top and your underwear on or you would never be seen again!
Haha Sheila, I wouldn't dare remove any clothing in the city :) I was really nervous about the street food but think I got a really good deal and a hearty meal. Great chat with the local man too post lunch. The serenity of the park was fantastic, especially considering the chaos and sounds of the traffic just minutes earlier! The Thai people definitely take good care of their capital city and keep it clean.
Loving the purple shades, Willie! 😎 Bangkok really is an attack on all the senses, isn't it. There was so much I wanted to see, try and experience, but it's hard to know where to start! I barely scratched the surface when it comes to food, but it was also fun to look. Any plans to go to Chinatown? That's where I stayed, it was fascinating! I loved exploring the alleyways and canals, and seeing the locals just going about their daily lives. Enjoy!
Thanks Andy! Bangkok has so many treasures and it is near impossible to see all of those in a single trip. As you say, one barely scratches the surface. I didn't make it to Chinatown on this particular trip (and I just missed the Chinese New Year). I actually found that you probably need a week in Bangkok just to orientate yourself. I thought I'd be more familiar with the city after my 2011 visit, but so much changed since then with new transport systems that were introduced etc. Would love to go back one day but the bucket list is so long already :) Appreciate all your support and engagement mate!
@willieexplore You're absolutely right. It takes time to get to know and appreciate Bangkok, and it isn't a place that takes kindly to being rushed! I pretty much had to write off a couple of days due to jetlag, exhaustion, and acclimatising to the heat and humidity, too. From the moment I closed my front door, to the moment I opened the door of my Bangkok hotel room, 24 hours had passed, almost to the minute! Mustering up the energy to do anything very much the next day was tough, and a great shame, too. At one point, I even fell asleep on a bench behind Wat Arun. 😆 I'll just have to plan a return visit! Looking forward to the next instalment. All the best, mate.
Thanks again for your wonderful time making these videos useful and helpful informative so others could share for tips plus additional advise when traveling plenty of good history experience stuff for information about places etc thanks Willie! Willie have you tried Google translate for help on verbs and pronounced for certain products?
You are always welcome, Simon! I always try to be as informative as I can, whilst showing the wider area. Having more internet availability is something I realised I will definitely need, especially on more extensive trips and to more rural areas. However, I'm pretty old school when it comes to travelling and there is a part of me that likes the challenge of communicating; in many ways it feels more authentic. But on the other hand, I also get satisfaction from communicating with someone in their own language. In a way, you cannot lose when travelling, it will be a rewarding experience regardless!
@@mayousimon1 I can only speak Afrikaans and English, and a little bit of German. Because of Afrikaans, I can also understand some Dutch & Flemish. But not much more, no.
Hi Osama, hope all is well! I thought so - even though I asked for a Thai coffee. I think he had difficulties understanding me, or maybe he also felt that I would enjoy the tea more so he gave me that instead...I certainly did enjoy it!

Hey ...Willie ...hello from Bangkok ... the drink that u had is called Thai Tea ... it's very famous here ...
