Ive had over 200 cars I’ve driven alot of exotics and many many special cars and nothing excits me like this car.I had one years ago same color. To me its the best car
I wanted a Falcon when I was in high school (in the mid 60s). It started with an H.O. scale racetrack I received one Christmas, 1 of the slot cars was a 63 Falcon Sprint or Futura 2 door coupe. From there I " graduated " to a 1/24th scale model Falcon Futura 2 door coupe. I never owned a full-sized Falcon, but always wanted a 66 Falcon Sport Coupe with a V8 engine, manual transmission, a 4 on the floor, and " bucket " front seats. I saw one that I really liked when I was stationed in California near Mountain View. It was pale yellow with a black vinyl roof and interior. Today, nearly any Falcon would do, but for the moment I must make do with a 06 Mustang convertible with the 4 liter Cologne V6 and automatic transmission.
Not only is it a machine..... its absolutely beautiful,,, oh for a time machine, take me back to 1986 with 3grand and I could have bought a similar replica , and yes another 1500 for the paint job..
Take me back to 1979 and I could have bought the original from a car yard owner for $3500,unfortunately petrol prices doubled all of a sudden which deterred me.
I spent the last 13 years of my career inspecting paintjobs like this and the sad fact is that about 80% of them are not up to scratch. For that much money they should be flawless and they ain’t.
Nice looking car. You get what you pay for. I saw one a guy bought that was "cheap", with a brand new paint job. The thing had more bog in it that Autobarn's distribution centre, and he had to spend a motza just to repair the body THEN paint it, and then finish it off (trim, engine etc)
I did find the burnout marks on the road a laugh. And they seem to start and finish at the owner's driveway! Even the dumbest cop would know who the culprit was. My nan always told me to never shit on my own doorstep....clearly this guy didn't benefit from the same advice.
I know where there is an original vermillion red xy gtho in the goldcoast hinterland. But no chance of people stealing it as it is blocked in.As it is he has had offers but it isnt for sale .
I know where there is one that was actually raced at Bathurst by Allan Moffat and signed by him , going to auction soon anyone want to guess the reserve price?
It is a nice car but nothing that unique about this car. Just the usual red with black interior, typical replica. XY Falcon sedan (standard). Engine L (250), Transmission R (3 speed auto), Paint U (White), Trim S (light brown). If it was my car I'd change the interior to white (door cards and seats) and keep it as it is on the outside.
Other than a couple of models (xm-xp and xa-xc) Falcon’s were never really sold as coupes in Australia. And these (xy’s) are the big daddy of all Australian muscle cars. These really are our halo car. And the very last of the big banger Aussie muscle cars. They had essentially the exact same motor as the 71 boss mustang which is the highest hp small block of the muscle car era at around 375-385hp.

The reason guys want replicas is that they want the GT experience without having to worry about an irreplaceable car
I hear what you are saying. But XY's of any kind aren't exactly stacked up at the used car yards ! 🤣
For 150k and another 20000 of them in Sydney..I would rather buy something else...
@@hoey3510 ROFLMAO!!!! There’d be lucky to be 3000 left total! I mean every xy with a chassis number and id plate!!!
Love the red line tires! Very retro and that exhaust note is music to the ear! Well Done!!👍🔥🚘

replica or not ... there is nothing like the sound of a 351 cleavland.
Once upon a time 3 grand got you a decent paint job

A Replica might be nice for some, for others a Replica is garbage. Such is life.
A replica can be an identical car with a different plate and about a tenth of the cost, I definitely can’t afford a real one
"Garbage" lol
Random Dude replica is Garbage?? Cause they exactly the same car, replica in most cases have more power !
Didn’t take long, deposit taken already
Only done 400 miles and canned it lol
No rear wing
How much is it...
How much?
You got yours horns….. yep I do

White would look yuk.
It's a 4 speed manual.
Ahh I guess you're going by the plate on the car my bad 😂 yeah nothing super unique just a nice car
50000 of them in Sydney alone in every assorted color.. the novelty has worn off..
Don't you Aussies like 2 door cars????
Can't put the rugrats AND the dog in a two door, or go to bunnings for a snag, bags of cement, and some timber stuck out the back windows!
We do..and I prefer 2 doors ...

The girl friend gets a bit skittish about climbing in the back when there’s no doors.😎
Yes but this is based off a family car
And no price as usual
I hope you make a fortune out of it, it looks nice.
Maybe you can buy a Tesla with the profit and see how far things have come...
It's a Fu#@!n Ford ,but!
Its only a copy
Not interested unless it has airbags.
For God Sakes it is a 4 door 👎
Brand new hey get a life. Ya scammer.
What did ya built it and it has 2020 tags
Not original
Original will set you back $400,000 for a gt, and $700,000 for a gtho. So it’s actually a bit of a bargain really.
@@nathan2483 that much.
Aldo B more actually
A $35.000 paint job and no tyre shine. 😢 Why Why?? I don't understand??🫣 Still a horny looking beautiful muscle car. 👌
