I really struggled with Chronos until I started listening for the audio cues. Especially when fighting him from distance, it can be hard to tell what move he's about to do, but if you listen to him, you can prepare to dash out of the way of whatever move comes.
Also go for the "Double Moonshot Poseidon Special atk spam" build. This is the strongest and relatively easier build in this game. It deals the highest dmg by far and also auto aims. Extra tip : Try to get the Demeter infusion boon which will limit the dmg you get to 15. So if Chonos does the insta kill move you only get 15 dmg. Very helpful!
My problem with the Chronos fight in particular is that the tells are not easy enough to identify. Specifically the difference between the Dash, the Slah and the Throw. All of these have relatively quick animations that pull his scythe back, and it tends to be a guessing game for me which one he is doing. I really hope Supergiant makes these more unique because this makes the fight super off-putting for me.
This is a Trick that Developers of Challenging Games have been using since 2010 as far I know.... They Give a Boss Reaction Based Attacks and Timing Based Attacks.... When examined in Isolation both Methods are Fair and easily Dodgeable.... Its Combining them into the Same Boss and linking it to the Same Animation that makes it Unfair.... Except if you Actually say that... Some random try Hard will tell you to "Git Gud".... I'm 90% Positive every Developer that does this is Doing it on Purpose because games weren't Always Designed this Way 15 Years Ago. 🤔
Its Easily Reactable... The problem is if you dodge on Reaction then you will always get Hit by the Scythe Sweep. If you don't then you will always get Hit by the Throw. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yeah even new patch to get more easier to get him but his throwing still ugly move and hit boxes i hope super giants will have adjustments or deleted this horrible move
I hate the insta kill that’s what scares me I’m about to do phase 2 for second time after dying to insta kill immediately after starting it last time. I’m scared as fuck
I really struggle with the visibility in this fight, I feel like Chronos model is dark and skinny, and hard to make out, his moves are dark, and transparent and their explosions are the same color as the arena walls and floor. Just dont know what the frek is going on when I get here, Can barely see anything. In comparison, the Hades fight from the first game has such great visibility on the model and the moves.
Came here to thank you because I had only once reached the 2nd stage and died almost immediately, but watching your video helped me be prepared for the rest of the moves. I just beat him for the first time!
I kept dying to the reducing arena clock in Chronos's second phase and could not figure out what was killing me. Finally beat him thanks to this video!
Yep, I came here after my Eighth Chronos fight (Beaten him twice) because I was finally fed up with this specific move. How the hell are we supposed to know to dash into the black area when for every other move like that, the black area is the killzone!?!?
If you don’t want it turn on God Mode, another idea would be Demeter’s infusion (I used it on 24 fear Umbral Flames to avoid big damage chunks.) If you have Hera in your pool or get lucky with Chaos, it should be easy to get 6 Earth elements.
Superb coverage as allways Haelian. Finally Managed to show Time whos the boss. 3rd time facing him, on 22nd night, with last 3hp remaining. Damn that feels good! :D Went with basic Sister blades with mainly appolo/zeus combo heavy on specials and casts.
thank you Haelian! been loving your content since the first hades. this video is awesome. got super close to killing him in phase 1 with axe and torches. watched this video and swapped to the blades. night 11, beat him in phase 1 AND beat him in phase 2 on the first try. you da man!!!
i watched this video because i was struggling to understand how to beat chronos. after this, i literally beat him on my very next run with lim and oros. thank you so much!
I haven't properly tried it yet, but I feel like there's a lot of face tank builds in the game rn. You can stack a bunch of dodge effects from Hermes, aphro infusion, daze from Apollo, the dodge arcana card, and echo's evade evade evade. Besides all that, you can have poseidon infusion for extra health, demeter and apollo infusion for damage reduction, and the Apollo hestia duo which gives insane passive healing. I haven't even mentioned moon water yet.
Healthy Rebound is insane. With a decent rarity and a pom or two you're bouncing back from 50% every single room. The healing makes Moon Water look balanced lol
This was a very fun fight to learn after a few deaths from Chronos. I love the stage of the second phase. I had to come to check out the vid for anything I missed about the fight. I actually didn't know that his bubbles blocked projectiles. Great guide!
Most guides I’ve watched don’t mention God Mode, but it’s worth turning on if you’re really struggling. It gives you a little bit of invulnerability (up to 80%) every time you die, and you can always turn it back off. I don’t have the skill or time to gitgud, so God Mode is a great way to progress through the game as intended without being stuck endlessly on a hard boss fight.
Thanks, i really needed this guide! I had a lot of experience with hades 1, already gotten 20 hours in the second game, and reached chronos for probably the 7th time in a row but always lose to the scythe... Tbh, i was really close to just giving up and enable god mode, but i have hope this vid will help me finally win
Man, I love your videos, been watching you since Hades 1! Do you plan on making a guide for getting into the oath of the unseen and what is the most optimal way to beat higher fear runs?
Melinoe staff with Zeus cast is really easy way to beat him. Fast charge omega and lighting lance makes casting safe and easy, and omega cast has high damage even without any of the million synergies. Zeus isn't even mandatory, Hestias fireball cast or Hades cast can work as replacement for Lightning lance, and there's a ton of options for damage casts. Zeus, Apollo, Hephaestus, Demeter and Hestia all have good damaging casts (roughly in that order). For other support boons, Apollo's Supernova is maybe the strongest support skill that fits in any build, but especially cast builds. Demeter also gets Gale force for extra damage on top of other cast effects. If you're lucky, try to get Chaos boons for cast damage OR omega move damage on top. The faster omega charge also helps, especially if you're not using Melinoe staff (or haven't upgraded it yet).
I just beat him the first time yesterday before this and i thought that run was dead alrdy and just focused on studying his 2nd phase...this guide would of helped a tons on that run and i missed tons of informative info you just gave so thumbs up! and i hope it will help me take him down alot more.
I am in no way a pro gamer, but I have all the statues so I will give you a quick advice. When aiming to a build using no mana, the fear that makes you start @ 0 mana + the one that remove a chunk of your mana bar for each boon you take are kind of free fear. Take the timer at 9min per zone + price increase + 20% more mobs (not the end of the world). I think 10% to get mobs from next region is no big deal either. Last one, maybe take the revenant vow as well. From there… you will have to chose from higher damages received or mobs tougher….
I needed this guide for the last week, but I finally beat him last night with the torches of all things.I had triple helix hammer with Demeter on cast for freeze, Zeus on special and I just spammed omega special and melted him.
Age has nothing to do with it... If you try to React (Dodging Immediately) to his Sweep then you'll get Hit During the Recovery... If you to Time (Dodging at the Right Time) to his Scythe Toss then you'll get Hit before you even realise what move it is. Its not Actually Possible to Consistently Not get hit by both those Attacks no matter how Young you are. 👀
Yeah I’m struggling with him. With Hades I beat him on my 3rd try. Probably fought cronos 8 times already. I can get him down to a quarter of his health in the 2nd phase and then I’m completely overwhelmed 😂
Hades Bear me more than Twenty Times before I finally Beat him... This was mostly just due to Stubbornness of me not wanting to Accept Slower Weapons just don't work with Ares/Dionysus.... As soon as I Accepted that I one.... Then I won again... And Again .. and Again and Again and Again..... The problem was I didn't Enjoy Winning. 👀 This is How I feel about the Axe in Hades II... Its the weapon Ive the most Clears with and it's my Favourite Weapon.... But more than Half of those Clears were with Cast Builds.
chronos is quickly becoming one of my favorite bosses to fight of all time. every build, every weapon, every run, it's still so engaging to fight him. i run through this game to fight him and everything else is just a super nice cherry on top
One thing not mentioned in the video that makes Chronos nearly trivial is the infusion boon Coarse Grit. You get it from Demeter and you need a pretty steep 6 earth, but once online all damage is capped at 15 (including the insta kill moves). Barely beat Chronos without it the first time, but the run right after I had it and beat him without losing a single death defiance. If you really want to beat him I highly recommend it, but it almost makes the fight too easy…
Great guide. I struggled a lot with Chronos, initially, and it took me quite a few attempts to finally take him down. Weirdly enough, I find his first phase a lot harder than the second one. The room feels more comfortable to dodge his attacks, and I generally find that I usually take down the second phase way quicker than the first one. I'm currently trying to beat him with the axe on 20 fear, and I'm struggling. I feel like spin to win isn't great for the fight, since his moves come out fairly quickly, and you can't slow down time to charge omega moves. Ironically, I tried him once on 20 fear with the twin blades and immediately beat him. I'm very biased towards Lim and Oros. lol I think my best run was with aspect of Pan. Aphrodite, Hook Knives and the 360° omega special spread are insane with this. I just placed my cast, charged the omega special and took down like a fourth or so of his health bar with one attack. It's great. And since the damage comes from individual bursts, it's easy to dodge and simply look for good openings.
Yeah the Axe is too Slow for Chronos.... It Works Absolutely Fantastics on literally everything else but for Chronos you'll Eat Damage if you try to Actually use it. 👀
The pause ... Dude ... DUDE. I was on discord, had to get to door, paused and he obliterated me verbally and proceeded to do the same to Melinoe. That ... WAS AWESOME.
Thanks, hopefully this helps. I've been horrendously underperforming in this fight compared to how easy I found the Hades fight after just a handful of attempts. Edit: won on my first attempt after watching this video with the weapon I was struggling the most with so yeah good video
I beat Chronos with a crazy build. I had a Hephaestus build with an epic boon causing an attack causing a 200 dmg blast every 10 seconds, and upgraded it to level 8 by the time I got to chronos, so I was doing +200 every 2 seconds. Then I got hestia's duo boon which allowed for it to be used twice. So I was doing +400 every 2 seconds.
Just got to Chronos in what felt like a strong early run. Two DDs, Zeus and Hestia cast and special. Was melting the pre-stages and even phase one then, on phase two, every hit was max damage and got creamed. First time there so not knowing the pattern is expected but fuck, quick turn from "i might got this" to " can i at least collect my own ash?"
This guide helped a lot, i almost won then got stuck in a time bubble during the insta kill attack (bubble spawned by his adds). I really hope they change the instakill attack
Ranged attacks with meliones aspect axe, and using the extra time given when hes using that twister attack to get behind him. Knucklebones for that sweet guardian damage reduction and the moon ability that destroys ranged attacks are helpful but not necessary. Using that I typically never lose to him.
Ive killed him in my 18 attempt Because ive got lucky with the boons , especially"Water moon" it let me heal myself during the battle 15 times ! Also hades gave me his boon Healing when you attack an enemy , and i killed him with the axe Hope this helps a little
theres a witch brew that allows to pause during Chronos fight. I was wondering. mabye its just a boon but after getting that brew and fighting chronos during his insta death phase my character was still alive and it said resisted on the screen. Was that the boon that only allows you to take a certain amount of dmg or was that the witch brew that allows you to pause during his fight but it also allows you to resist his time based abilities?
The "Resisted" Indicator only pops up when you Take Damage while you have some Sort of Barrier, Hermes and Demeter have one and the last one was Mentioned in this Video.... It only Works on Bosses. 👀
Currently there is a bug where Chronos will lose any kind of turn rate penalty during the succ move if one of those sub-phase health thresholds is crossed during it making it impossible to continue aggressing, so holding damage if you can recognize it may help a ton. Similarly there's currently a bug where effects like Support Fire are capable of killing Chronos during the phase transition, skipping Phase 2 and... softlocking you. So avoid that too if you can help it. If you're a bad enough dude you can actually i-frame the instakill with your dash.
when using more ranged weapons too, sure you can get close, but to dodge his thrown scythe. You don't dodge it. Just stand still and it makes that half circle around where you start. If you are right up against him, like slightly off to his side it might still hit you, but standing still is safe. The Devs are playing against our instinct to dodge, just slow down.
And Get Hit by Everything Else. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ That's Terrible Advice.... Moving is Good because moving helps you avoid Everything else... The Scythe Toss is Clearly an Outlier and has to be Adjusted. But... That's just my opinion. 👀
@caos1925 It has the Same Starting Animation and Sound Que as his Scythe Sweep but is Twice as Fast.... The only Time I Recognize that Move is After he Already hit me With it.... This Wouldn't be an Issue if he used it at the Appropriate Range but he can and Will use this Atttack Repeatedly when you're In his Face.... Effectively you take 30+ Damage because you Happened to be Standing in the Wrong Place.
Thanks a lot for this video! I sure need these tips and the breakdown of the moves. What do you think about fighting Chronos with omega moves? It seems that most omega moves take too long to channel, so that when I try to get an omega move in, he's already doing his next attack which I have to dodge.
Optimal. Omega moves take some time to charge, but Chronos takes aeons to wind up and execute his own moves. Every single one of the bosses give you ample windows to use Omegas in between evading their attacks.
If the Attack doesn't Reach then it Doesn't matter how Fast it is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ This is Why I always grab *Howling Soul* from Hades whenever it's on Offer. Combine it with any Ranged Build and the Speed of Chronos' Attacks becomes Irrelevant. 🤓
@haihuynh8772 No he Doesn't... Atleast not for the Axe... The Omega Attack for Every other Weapon is Short... But for the Axe it's literally 3+ Seconds.... If you're not getting Hit then you're not playing the Same Game we Are. 🤔
@@lookalike4805 Then don't fully charge it, or stay far away when you are using the Omega special. They didn't make the Omega attack usable half-charged for you to eat shit trying to full-charge it every time.
@haihuynh8772 Not only does it Deal very little Damage when you half Charge it.... It also Reaches its Recovery Animation Sooner when it's Half Charged which youcan not Dash Cancel out of. Yes... The Omega Special Works.... Its Still Slow but That Hardly Matters if you're Far Way. But that's not the point. The Issue is Not Using the Axe like.... Well... An Actual Axe.... Might be boring for Some Players.
Hello would you kindly do a similar guide to Eris. She still takes everything I got to barely bring her down which is not sustainable if I want to beat the Olympus boss (when they come out).
can't be the only one that had to search this video up because I could not figure out how to dodge the insta kill in phase 2. Both times i died to it, I couldn't even SEE that there was a circle. The charge up looks too similar to the vacuum move, so first instinct was to run away from it. How was I supposed to know you where supposed to run towards it?? Ughh, so frustrating.
That suggested daggers aspect (the parry) is entirely up to chance right? So it’s still 50/50 that if you’re charging the omega attack you could get hit and take damage?
As bad as 10:00 looks, at least he didn't have Zeus's special boon on the torches. Those orbs and Chronos's look almost identical and nearly gave me a stroke.
Backstab doesn't work on him. Or at least it didn't for me. It would ALWAYS teleport me out of range and miss, no matter if I was in range or not already. I tried 50 times until i died and could not land a single one.
So Idk if this is a bug or intended, but I got him to 50% health one time, and he started charging his 1 hit attack. The only problem was he kept charging for a good minute while still throwing other random bullshits and summons. So I died because I could barely tell what's on the screen since everything was black.
Little bit off topic, but someone knows how many times you have to beat Chronos in order to complete the main story? Idk if its even possible in early access thought
Am I only one who thinks he's too hard? I just beat Cerberus with one hand within 2 minutes, I move to Chronos with no problem never dying in process, but can't beat this guy no matter how many times I try. I love how in second phase you can barely move through the arena, there is so much shit going on and that one shot insta kill when you don't manage to move to one point xD
if you don't have great dps, just kill the two mobs on the outside first. As for the miniboss himself, he only has one attack pattern consisting of two attacks and both attacks hit in front of him. This means you can dodge both attacks by dashing directly through him. The second attack comes out a bit quicker so don't wait too long to dash on his other side again. That's basically it.
I feel like chronos has too much health. The fight is so long I sometimes just give up cause my build is too weak to take him down. So I just give up. Is that just poor build choices?
Is it even a Choice if it's Random ? In Any Case.... Yes Chronos has Alot of HP but at the Same Time... I did Expect Supergiant to think of some way to prevent Early Clears because the Game is still in Early Access. TLDR; They made him Tanky on Purpose to Pad the Games Length. 👀 Seriously though ... Sometimes you just Don't Get the Boons you Need. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
the Chronos bossfight is such a letdown compared to the Hades bossfight, that I'm not sure I'm gonna be able to play this game as much as I played the first one. He's just a meaty chunk of HP surrounded by bullshit instakill moves in phase 2. What a drag
How come you don't use the duo card or the epic increase 1 as they are cards you use to run don't they seem worth it as you thought or does the extra rerolls make up for it
@lookalike4805 oh ok thanks mate normally before I do a run i pick a weapond and then look at the duo boons and see what build Il do from there but I noranmly have a duo boon in mind sometimes a legendery but that's even more rare and icing on the cake really
@@lookalike4805 they are really not that rare. I sometimes get two or even three of them in one run and that's without the arcana card. You can see which boons you need to activate the duo boon. You have control over which gods you get with keepsakes, can reroll location rewards if you get an unwanted god and have like seven rerolls to get the specific boon you need. And gotta keep the god pool small of course.
@@lookalike4805 you said they were 'so rare', when they're really not. A guide can be about anything anyway. If I was making a guide about the strongest builds in hades 1, I'd name artemis athena duo on the sword.
@haelian, or anyone else, I’m considering getting Early Access but cannot find any official information that I will get the main game after it. Can someone reassure me please?
you can actually dodge with your dash 999 damage instance, I know its not something easy to do but I was able to do it twice when it was too far to run
@@lookalike4805 thank you! I’m pretty far along with about 10-12 Chronos and 6-8 Eris wins so I thought I’d have it unlocked by now. I don’t remember hades 1 book taking this long.
I just for my life cannot kill him it's so hard to read his tells. Hades was such a cake walk in telegraphing his moves it's not even comparable. Coming up on 10 attempts at his fight and it's so frustrating.
I disagree.... Hades has this one move where he Tosses 3 Howling Souls before Lunging straightforward.... This move always Came out of No where and was Easily a Run Ender. 👀
@@lookalike4805 yes he has that but with Hades you could always stay behind him and dash back and forth between his front and back and the chances of you getting hit by that were very low. Trying to hug Chronos' backside is not at all reliable.
@@lookalike4805 but it kinda is with Hades because of how you can spam dash with no consequence, with Melinoe you have to time your dash just right otherwise you're screwed.
The Special Effects Overload is the Toughest Boss In Hades II... 👀 I think we need to Sit down with Supergiant and explain to them The Basics of Human Capabilities.🤔
Feels pretty Responsive to me.... And I'm saying that as Someone who Dodges using the Right Trigger... 😳 The Input Buffer on the Other hand is alil Wonky specifically for any weapon that utilizes unique Combos like the Daggers and the Staff with the *Marauder Whallop* Hammer Upgrade.... In many Occasions I accidentally wind up doing a Dash Strike when I'm trying to To do a Dash Sprint. This Mistake isn't usually a problem but it's Really Devasting versus the 3rd Boss because he has Gigantic Shockwaves that Deal 25+ Damage. 🤔
The biggest problem I have with Chronos is that he feels like he's on the wrong difficulty setting compared to everything else. Cerberus needs to be made harder. It's just a bad fight compared to Chronos.
It's a bit funny how haelian explains how to dodge the moves while getting absolutely wrecked by them on screen
Learning from others mistakes is always good lol
Yeah, he is getting owned, i bet he can do no defiance challenge, he is good
he doged the clock but got wrecked by cronos haha task failed sucessfully i guess haha

BRO thank you that actually saved me, definitely the most annoying move in the first phase that usually causes me to lose
Oh SHIT true
Hopefully this comment reminds me to come back in the future to see how much the game has changed.
I can't wait to come back and be like, "Wow, we were really ok with that?!?!"
Ooh, I'm with you on that.

Fun tip is that Frinos is very helpful during this boss fight when it comes to blocking the orbs. 🐸
Supposedly he Doesn't block it... He Eats It.... Which would explain why it doesn't work with Toula 👀
Also Hestia sprint works on all the orbs. I assumed at first it won't, but run into some accidentaly and tbh, Hestia makes all ball attacks trivial

There's an in game method to stop him from unpausing as well but you probably need to try pausing mid fight to unlock it.
Got one shotted the first time I made it to phase 2. So that was fun.
:D Went with basic Sister blades with mainly appolo/zeus combo heavy on specials and casts.
there's an easy audio queue for his spinning throw. he blurts out Neeeeh before he throws it. Beware of the Neeeh!
thank you Haelian! been loving your content since the first hades. this video is awesome. got super close to killing him in phase 1 with axe and torches. watched this video and swapped to the blades. night 11, beat him in phase 1 AND beat him in phase 2 on the first try. you da man!!!
i watched this video because i was struggling to understand how to beat chronos. after this, i literally beat him on my very next run with lim and oros. thank you so much!
Compensation for no Athena lol.
I watched this video just to understand the ring move from second phase. I always thought you are supposed to go into the middle
Can’t wait to see what this games going to be like when it fully launches, it’s already so amazing
Thanks my dude. I've made it so many times to Chronos but haven't beat him yet. Needed this video
Just beat Chronos a couple of hours ago! Must've happened right as this video got published. That's one powerful video, I tell you!
Even if you want to git gud its helpful for learning the boss movesets
Oh that's Interesting.... I thought it gave you Damage Reduction every time you Died since that's what it Does in the First Game. 👀
@@lookalike4805It does. The OP either said it wrong or doesn’t understand how it works. It’s damage resistance just like H1.
For me worked aspect of artemis focused on specials, because the 9hit counts per action, not per number, so you can spam omega specials
Hook knives and sureshot flurry were also a big help
Staff special spam with Poseidon high base damage and the double special projectile hammer is also busted 😂
@@SkyllerSY Takes longer to setup and has less area coverage, but aphro special with poseidon duo deal scary dmg
The main thing that i personaly hate is the clutter in the 2 nd phase while its visualy impressive its kinda annoying t o see where to stand sometimes
I needed this guide for the last week, but I finally beat him last night with the torches of all things.I had triple helix hammer with Demeter on cast for freeze, Zeus on special and I just spammed omega special and melted him.
I feel old. Have fought him 2 billion times by now and still don't have it down
Age has nothing to do with it...
@@lookalike4805 That's somehow reassuring. Daddy was never this hard 😄
This is How I feel about the Axe in Hades II... Its the weapon Ive the most Clears with and it's my Favourite Weapon.... But more than Half of those Clears were with Cast Builds.
I think it's just due to bad design. I have 70+ hours in early access, and after beating Chronos 20+ times, he's still just as tough as the 1st time.
I like to call Chronos' execute the Clockout
I saw your video and finally killed chronos, I was stuck on second phase but finally ended him with the axe and the kamehameha lol
chronos is quickly becoming one of my favorite bosses to fight of all time. every build, every weapon, every run, it's still so engaging to fight him. i run through this game to fight him and everything else is just a super nice cherry on top
I'm very biased towards Lim and Oros. lol
I think my best run was with aspect of Pan.
Funny how you can hug the final boss once again in one of their attacks like father like son huh
I love how difficult chronos is I wouldn't expect anything less. Much more harder than Hades boss fight.
Thanks, hopefully this helps. I've been horrendously underperforming in this fight compared to how easy I found the Hades fight after just a handful of attempts.
Edit: won on my first attempt after watching this video with the weapon I was struggling the most with so yeah good video
very useful video. I would really appreciate, if you would make a video like this, but for the other 2 bosses.
Feel like this is the knowledge Odysseus should be dropping considering the "veteran tactician" guide. Thank you for the guide!
if your struggling use demeter's boon coarse grit" Chronos's attacks will only do 15 damage.
The orbs can also be blocked by Frinos or the axe's special.
Ive killed him in my 18 attempt
Because ive got lucky with the boons , especially"Water moon" it let me heal myself during the battle 15 times !
Also hades gave me his boon
Healing when you attack an enemy , and i killed him with the axe
Hope this helps a little
theres a witch brew that allows to pause during Chronos fight.
The Lovers arcana card. It's like acorn from the original Hades game
I thought they Fixed this 2 days Ago. 🤔
when using more ranged weapons too, sure you can get close, but to dodge his thrown scythe. You don't dodge it. Just stand still and it makes that half circle around where you start. If you are right up against him, like slightly off to his side it might still hit you, but standing still is safe. The Devs are playing against our instinct to dodge, just slow down.
And Get Hit by Everything Else. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
That's Terrible Advice.... Moving is Good because moving helps you avoid Everything else... The Scythe Toss is Clearly an Outlier and has to be Adjusted.
But... That's just my opinion. 👀
@@lookalike4805 Ya I just mean when you see the scythe throwing coming to stand still, ya keep moving for the rest.
@caos1925
It has the Same Starting Animation and Sound Que as his Scythe Sweep but is Twice as Fast....
If the Attack doesn't Reach then it Doesn't matter how Fast it is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This is Why I always grab *Howling Soul* from Hades whenever it's on Offer. Combine it with any Ranged Build and the Speed of Chronos' Attacks becomes Irrelevant. 🤓
@haihuynh8772
No he Doesn't...
@haihuynh8772
Not only does it Deal very little Damage when you half Charge it....
Might be boring for Some Players.
you can use the axe to block the orbs! all projectiles get deleted when using the axe shield!
I swear i just reached kronos for the first time after beating scilla(idk how its written) and died to him, checked my phone and saw the video XD
*SCYLLA*
Not that it Matters... Me thinks Supergiant is misspelling half of these Names on Purpose. 🤔
I didnt know about the insta kill movie my first time. I had surprised pikachu face when it happened
Hello would you kindly do a similar guide to Eris. She still takes everything I got to barely bring her down which is not sustainable if I want to beat the Olympus boss (when they come out).
Reached him a few times now but always take damage from the trail which I didn't even know detonated xD thanks, this helps a lot
I like how it Leaves a thin line but has a Gigantic Hitbox. 🤔
@@lookalike4805 to be fair I can see in the video that it explodes but I am too panicked to see that when I'm playing
The Explosion also Hides whatever Attack he's Doing next since he already Recovers by the time the Explosion Pops....👀
can't be the only one that had to search this video up because I could not figure out how to dodge the insta kill in phase 2. Both times i died to it, I couldn't even SEE that there was a circle. The charge up looks too similar to the vacuum move, so first instinct was to run away from it. How was I supposed to know you where supposed to run towards it?? Ughh, so frustrating.
The Hourglass is called Tempus, I know this because it was the second biggest source of damage from the winning run.
That suggested daggers aspect (the parry) is entirely up to chance right? So it’s still 50/50 that if you’re charging the omega attack you could get hit and take damage?
It's guaranteed, 100% chance to parry as long as it's not on cooldown. You get 50% chance to crit after the parry for 9 strikes.
@@Haelian ahhhh I read it totally wrong then.
Might have to give that aspect a run, sounds fun.
If your using the dagger teleport backstab and missing? they fixed that in the patch.
If you have the boon that caps damage from hits at like 15 damage does the insta kill ability really only do 15 damage at that point?
Thanks I
10:24 wait.. what? How come your boons look so different? Mine has heroic/rare/common etc. None of those Rank
I got the Selene buff that stopped time and forgot about how Chronos didn’t let you pause 😅😅😅
I hope they make Cerberus tougher, I've only failed to kill him in the black crystal challenge.
So Idk if this is a bug or intended, but I got him to 50% health one time, and he started charging his 1 hit attack. The only problem was he kept charging for a good minute while still throwing other random bullshits and summons. So I died because I could barely tell what's on the screen since everything was black.
I believe that's a Bug.... But Supergiant said they already Fixed it. 🤔
Little bit off topic, but someone knows how many times you have to beat Chronos in order to complete the main story? Idk if its even possible in early access thought
Can't
Ahh yes, the suck and spin. Classic maneuver.
Getting the no hit run in Hades 2 is gonna be so much harder
I'm sure someone will find some way to Cheese it... Infact.... It wouldn't Surprise if they already Did. 👀
During the suck Chronos has a small hurtbox directly behind so, don't hug During it
Am I only one who thinks he's too hard? I just beat Cerberus with one hand within 2 minutes, I move to Chronos with no problem never dying in process, but can't beat this guy no matter how many times I try. I love how in second phase you can barely move through the arena, there is so much shit going on and that one shot insta kill when you don't manage to move to one point xD
Rip i should've watched this first i was very confident i could've gotten my first clear at only 7nights until i got womped by that insta kill move
People commenting about the actual fight:
Me who noticed the radiation symbol on the floor of the 2nd arena:
Can you also make guides for the the minibosses? The shadow monster in Erebus always takes half my health
if you don't have great dps, just kill the two mobs on the outside first. As for the miniboss himself, he only has one attack pattern consisting of two attacks and both attacks hit in front of him. This means you can dodge both attacks by dashing directly through him. The second attack comes out a bit quicker so don't wait too long to dash on his other side again. That's basically it.
A good rule of thumb is to dash as soon as you get one or two hits. Don't stay in one spot for too long and spam attacks.
so whos harder? Hades or Chronos?
Frinos blocks the Time orbs too.
thankfully they fixed the daggers omega attack
thx !
Seriously though ... Sometimes you just Don't Get the Boons you Need. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yes that makes sense
the Chronos bossfight is such a letdown compared to the Hades bossfight, that I'm not sure I'm gonna be able to play this game as much as I played the first one. He's just a meaty chunk of HP surrounded by bullshit instakill moves in phase 2. What a drag
How come you don't use the duo card or the epic increase 1 as they are cards you use to run don't they seem worth it as you thought or does the extra rerolls make up for it
Duos and Legendaries are so Rare that I don't Count any Run that Uses Them.
They're Definitely Nice but that Level RNG isn't Useful for a Guide. 🤔
@geran4473
"Sometimes" is By Definition *Inconsistent* .
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Imagine making a Guide that Works "Sometimes". 👀
If you buy the game during early access you will still own the game when the full version releases.
chronos starts counting dwon in phase one i dont know how to counter it
I feel like Chronos is way harder as a final boss than Hades ever was, no wonder he got reckt
you can actually dodge with your dash 999 damage instance, I know its not something easy to do but I was able to do it twice when it was too far to run
What am I missing? I cannot seem to access the gods boon lists...
Book Of Shadows Incantation...
Just keep progressing all the progression systems and it will be revealed Eventually.
I agree with op. This fight is way harder for me as well.
@@lookalike4805 yes he has that but with Hades you could always stay behind him and dash back and forth between his front and back and the chances of you getting hit by that were very low. Trying to hug Chronos' backside is not at all reliable.
@ShortThe1st
Exactly... Both those Examples are not Reliable. That's why I mentioned it in the first place.👀
@@lookalike4805 but it kinda is with Hades because of how you can spam dash with no consequence, with Melinoe you have to time your dash just right otherwise you're screwed.
Supergiant clearly going for Cuphead levels of sadism. Not fun.
Is it me or is he much harder than Hades?
I found him easy easier than base Hades after getting used to his moves
The Special Effects Overload is the Toughest Boss In Hades II... 👀
I think we need to Sit down with Supergiant and explain to them The Basics of Human Capabilities.🤔
I beat him two times with Hexes that give invulnerability, and without even loosing any DD. Felt like cheating.
does any1 else suffer lag input cause i get like 0.5second lag whenever i click something so idk if the reason is cause of the alpha or is it just me
Feels pretty Responsive to me.... And I'm saying that as Someone who Dodges using the Right Trigger... 😳
The Input Buffer on the Other hand is alil Wonky specifically for any weapon that utilizes unique Combos like the Daggers and the Staff with the *Marauder Whallop* Hammer Upgrade....
Him being the Exception to something that Works on Everything else probably has something to do with it. 🤔
Is it just me or is Chronos actually a harder boss than Hades?
