    Greetings from Wisconsin! New subscriber here! I just bought a UFORCE 1000 about a month ago. I am so glad I discovered them! I've done many videos about my Kubota tractor, and now I'll do the same with my uforce, which brings me to the appreciation I have for the extra work you do with the cameras and editing. Definitely some beautiful riding, and when the brother is along to throw countless good humor insults at.

      Sorry I missed this comment somehow! Congrats on the Uforce. That 1000 is an impressive and huge machine haha. Thanks for the compliment. It is a lot of work sometimes but I've been working on a system to make things better and easier, or at least find a good balance between the two. Always a blast riding with my brother. My wife is cool sometimes too LOL.

    Welcome to my wheelhouse bro. Before the hunt camp if you had turned left you would have entered into the gut of the infamous Quinns. But thier is much worse then that... I know because I was the one who created the famous enduro ride "a bridge to far". You launched beside the trout lake hotel right around the corner of my cottage. I just bought a cfmoto 800 based on your review and rode that hydro line today. Next time you are heading up there look me up and I will take you for the ride of your life. 225km in one day and never touch the same trail twice. It's a hard pace but very rewarding
    Cheers

    Ompah is a great place.
    The trails are ends less, but without knowing where to go you could get lost, the trails are not marked at all. Having a GPS is required.

    • @GuardianGrove
      @GuardianGrove  4 роки тому

      I have heard that before, so yeah, I brought my GPS in that Ram Mount, and used the QuadON app for specific trail maps. Worked well! I have since got a Ram Mount for my phone because I shouldn't be holding it while driving lol. All in all, Ompah has been one of my favorites, and we barely scratched the surface.

    We finally got out to test drive so cfmoto on the weekend , loved the brand and what they have to offer . The machines we test drove where great, unfortunately believe it or not the uforce 500 was the only thing that offered the legroom I need... but I am wanting more horsepower so we are looking at some other brands.... we spent the night in Ottowa and test drove almost every machine we could get our hands on over the weekend.... the only machine that had the leg thing I need for long rides what's the Can-Am Commander. That being said I am in love with the CFMOTO brand will be following your Channel closely as well as the brand

    The fallen tree in middle of trail. That is the reason to buy a chainsaw carrier and take your chainsaw with you.

    • @GuardianGrove
      @GuardianGrove  3 роки тому

      Yeah it's always nice to have a chainsaw. I have taken my saw on backwoods rides but don't usually take it for these popular trail systems requiring trail passes and frequent trail maintenance. Obviously it would have come in handy haha. I am looking at picking up a small electric chainsaw for exactly this, and I have a Kolpin Stronghold mount that would be perfect.

    squeaky brakes is normal with a CFM. The original brake pad material is very hard.

      It certainly is a great spot to ride. Regarding the helmet, maybe give a place like Royal Distributing a call and ask if they can find/special order you one. Their customer service has been excellent to me in the past. I found a AFX FX39 helmet in 4XL listed in their sizing chart but couldn't find one stocked anywhere. Maybe a good one to reference with Royal Distributing or a dealer of your choice. Model/link below. Go Leafs Go!
      AFX model "4XL 0110-3153" is their solid black.

    hello... great video!! besides the ride difference is higher cc really needed between the 500 and 1000? i want the 500 but dont want any regrets... thank you ....

    • @GuardianGrove
      @GuardianGrove  3 роки тому

      The biggest difference for me is the extra width (from 50" to 60") of the 1000 vs the 500 trail. With that extra width, you get more stability and a smoother ride due to increased suspension travel. The "Classic" line of CFMOTOS just launched here in Canada and offers some amazing savings. I'm not sure where you are located or if that is available in your area. A good compromise would be the ZForce 800 EX. Same chasis as the 1000, slightly less power but a good, reliable motor. Hope that helps... Good luck.

      @@deanscharphorn6035 I still love my 500 even though I have the 1000 as well. I'll be putting out a new video soon discussing exactly that, and showing off some new upgrades. I put a nice light bar on it now, some rear pod lights and installed a dash mount Garmin GPS/chart plotter with lake maps for ice fishing. I am going to put the 27" CST Stag tires from my 1000 on the ZF500 and buy 29" tires for the 1000. Should be a nice improvement for both. Thanks for the kind words and don't hesitate to ask about anything else.

    What's the best way to handle the steep declines? Brakes or not? 4WD? Newbie here and would like some advice.

    • @GuardianGrove
      @GuardianGrove  4 роки тому

      First of all, congrats on the new hobby! Depending on the machine and the decline, you may not need to use much braking. This will all depend on the engine braking available from your machine. Basically, use as much brake pressure as needed to keep the speeds low enough to keep your machine under control. Low gear will also have a higher braking effect than high gear. Technically speaking, 4WD would still have some advantages with engine braking on loose surfaces but I don't usually bother using 4wd if I wasn't already using it before the decline. Lastly, if you are using an ATV and not a side by side, you will want to use more rear brake than front break when descending (if your machine activates them separately). That is certainly not the "absolute" solution you may have been looking for, but there aren't really absolute answers here. I hope it was helpful regardless! Feel free to ask if you have any other questions, and have fun!

    I’m fixing to purchase a used 2019 ZForce 1000 with only 24 hours and just under 200 miles on it. Is it worth buying or not He wants 10k for it and all he has done is drive it around his farm.
    Also can you please tell me if you have made any mods and have you had any issues with it at all?

    • @GuardianGrove
      @GuardianGrove  4 роки тому

      I really enjoy mine. It's bone stock. I plan on just putting some 30s on it next spring and possibly a snorkel just for peace of mind. I would maybe be a bit hesitant when someone is selling a machine with only 200 miles on it though! I personally haven't had any problems and I wouldn't worry about the ZForce 1000 in general, but maybe be careful with that particular machine!
