Same with my dachshund, said he should only eat canned food, but caught him eating his sister’s dry food, so he’s been eating that for over a year! Jah will be fine! So glad it’s nothing worse!

My 8 yr Jack Russell died having 5 teeth out. She was healthy. It was horrible death. I clean my Labrador and Ruby with toothpaste and brush. It happens.
this was actually a relief .. You said sad news about Jah , I went to the worst case scenario .. Cancer .. I lost my Cairn after 17 years due to pancreatic cancer .. that was 23 years ago and I'm still not over it .. God Bless you Jordan and Jah

My miniature poodle had 10 teeth removed last month. I just adopted him in December and he is 13 years old. He’s doing great❤
We only adopt tiny breed senior dogs and most of them have little or no teeth left by the time they get to us. It’s OK. They’re resilient and bounce right back. It’s actually not unusual for these little peanuts. Jah will be just fine. Sending lots of love and positive thoughts for sweet Jah. 🐶

My vet always talks about how problems with their teeth can go straight to their heart. Taking care of Jah is the best thing you can do to help him live (hopefully) ANOTHER 10 years. He'll be just as cute. 🥰

He did that with the title on his grandfather's video too as if he had died. Although these things are stressful and sad, the titles were a bit click bait and take away from when actual real tragidies happen. It is unecessary.

My beagle mix had her lower teeth all removed, she did great. I just fed her soft food & she never missed a beat. Sending hugs, prayers, love & healing energy.❤️

Jah is such a l'il sweetie. It looks as though they LEFT one little snaggletooth there in his lower jaw for us to EASILY recognise him as the one and only Jah! Mahalo for being such a great dog apparent. Between you and the vets, Jah will be just fine. Much aloha to you ALL!

Holy Cow Jordan. Our sheltie had six teeth removed during her life. That decision was easy due to the fact he was in pain. The hard decision was when it was time to put her down due to age … ouch! So enjoy the minus teeth healthy Jah. as long as you can and remember you have the awesome responsibility of being there with Jah to the end. One thing is for sure. Jah has an amazing owner who cares and will give all for him. Jordan you rule as a dog owner and Jah is thankful. 👍

Hi Jordan, my mom‘s dog had that done as well. She changed to softer treats to make sure she doesn’t choke. Her dog’s doing great.

Don't be worried Jordan. I have a rescue cat that's old. We had to have all her teeth pulled except the 3 canines. She did great still ate regular food. The recover took a week but she had a lot of teeth removed. A few weeks ago I noticed her face was swollen to her eye. One of her canine had broken so say the vet. They removed her last 2 canines and got the broken one out causing the swelling. She took 3 days of pain meds and is back to Normal. I give her wet food but she likes the regular hard cat food best. She eats it just fine. Everything will be okay better really. Love to see your love for Jah.

You’re such a great doggy dad Jordan. Our Kody was whining like that after coming home from his teeth cleaning. I think it was a side effect of the anesthesia but it was hard to hear him whining. 😢 And it’s the longest time waiting for them to call to come pick them up. Jah looks like a happy pup and you are a wonderful pet parent😊❤

My dog is 13 and she is miniature pinscher and terrier and she has diabetes.Since her diagnosis 2 years ago she's had 4 teeth fall out. I wake her up for her insulin and find teeth in her bed and she is just fine, I just feed her things like scramble eggs. Praying for you and especially Jah, stay positive he will be ok
Jordan, I've missed connecting and commenting in a while. I've been a silent watcher. When I saw this about Jah it scared me bad. The same thing happened to my cat. Same thing. He turned out having them all removed. God bless Jah.

I used to be a vet tech and I did these dental cleaning all the time and removing teeth are very common. Several at a time usually on older dogs. The dogs are happier without the teeth!
My cat had 7 teeth extracted about 3 years ago & he's doing just fine in fact it made a big (for the good ) change in him ✌️❤️
Definately and without question you did the right thing and continue to give him the very best care.
I have a cat who had to have all his teeth removed. He recovered very quickly and has been able to eat without issue - even crunchy treats. I am confident Jah will be get over this little hurdle beautifully.

Yes, Jordan, I know exactly what you have been going through as a Chihuahua parent. My darling little boy had tooth problems, too, and had to have surgery on those and had an undescended testicle, too, so his surgery was a really big one. The surgeries very much extended his precious, little life and he was such a blessing to me. Maybe, that's why I've always been so attached to Jah. I first started watching/subscribed to you years and years ago and have always loved you and Jah. I'm so glad you have your beautiful wife to love Jah right along with you (and me)!😊❤🤗

Thank God it is his just his teeth. Jah will be fine when he heals. One of my poodles lived to 20. She had to get 12 teeth removed & she was fine! 🙏🏽

My pit bull is a senior, and I got him at a rescue when he was two, and right away starting brushing his teeth once daily with a regular toothbrush and regular toothpaste (half the amount I use for myself) for 60 seconds, then wipe it off. It's easy because he lets me. I recommend everyone try it. Of course, I realize not every dog will let you.
You are doing the right thing removing his bottom teeth, especially since you have no idea whether he has pain. I have had teeth loosening like that, they invariably had abscesses that were extremely painful.
In the middle ages, tooth decay was a leading cause of death, because of the toxins released into the blood stream, the body cannot cope with it.
Hopefully the operation is in the distant past, and Jah has fully recovered.

I know how you feel. I have a ChiPoo and she had 22 teeth pulled!!! And her pre bloodwork showed she has sludge in her gallbladder! I never knew a dog to have issues with their gallbladder! So now she’s on meds for that! But your little man will do just fine. No worries! ❤🙏

Lucky it was found and you can do something about it. My senior dog was around 8-10 and they wouldn’t do anything that required anesthesia.

my Pug Milo lost all his teeth when he was 8 years old , he died at the age of 15 last Oct , loosing his teeth didn't stop him from eating everything in sight all the way to the end , Jah's jaw will be fine . Jah is a sweet little boy .. He and Milo would have been friends..

Good on you for making sure he is so loved and well taken care of. This tooth issue is very common with certain breeds, Pomeranians being one, Jah being a smaller dog (enabling him to avoid many health issues of larger breeds) should continue to be by your side for many more years. My last Pomeranian lived to be 17 and a half years old, never sick but succumbed to old age this past year, she had a good appetite to the end even though she was missing many teeth, she never missed a meal. I was so lucky to have her as my constant companion for so many years and so grateful she never had to suffer. Jah is such a sweetie and you both are so lucky to have each other, take care and continue to enjoy each other's company for many years to come.
Sorry to hear that Jah has to loss some of his teeth, but so glad that there is something they can do for him and that it is not life-threatening. The vet is true our best friends do adapt to what is dealt to them and they do well. My 15 year old Himalayan cat, Seal, lost his teeth a couple of years ago and he is doing fine. He is also in stage IV kidney failure. I feed him via syringe three times a day. I call this a labour of love, he was my late sister's cat and I promised her that I was going to take good care of her baby and that's just what I'm doing. All the best, Jah!

My furbaby Rocky who is a chihuahua and 11 years old has lost his teeth. Especially the bottom ones. He's fine and doesn't stop him from eating. I know how you felt. We feel it more than they do. I'm just glad that it wasn't anything too serious. My heart fell to the ground when I saw the title and almost started crying. I love Jah and always will. ❤❤❤

Jah should do fine. Our Pomski is 17 and has lost several.We give him soft dog food and soft treats. I know how much we love our pup and do what we can for him too. I love to see people love and care for their fur babies. I'll say a little prayer for Jah, and you guys.He's so doggone cute!
Oh Jordan.. I went through the same thing with my Chihuahua Candiss. Hereminds me so much of my little daughter. Katy is right about taking care of the situation on time.
