      Not my type.4 hair i dont know what it is but even when i put stuff to moisturize it it dosnt work for me.. ive spend (well my dad) to much money i cant even find the right gell to hold it down or anything and it sucks. I love it but hate it.

    • @Wwumzymumzy
      @Wwumzymumzy 6 років тому +45

      Tysepia Williams That might be a porosity issue. My hair is 3c and I always have to use heat to moisturize my hair because it’s low porosity. It’ll even repel water if it’s not warm and given a chance to soak in. Have you tried warming up your conditioner? As for the gel, I have no answers. It could be gel or the application.

    Man, all black women should get discounts on all hair products. For as much as you all have to use! It's a crime the prices you all have to pay.

    • @sillysami88
      @sillysami88 5 років тому +101

      It’s just that when it comes to products, using natural sources are scarce so it’ll cost more money. Which means natural hair products are more expensive. That’s why products with sulfates and all that don’t cost much because they aren’t as scarce. It’s just how economy works🤷🏽‍♀️
      It’s like with diamonds, fake diamonds cost less because they are easier to find than real diamonds...there are less real diamonds = more money to preserve it more. If everyone could buy diamonds at an affordable price, it would be GONE.

    I'm not much of a gel person since I quit wash n gos, but Shea butter always gives me really good hold and definition with twist outs. And instead of finger coiling the ends I do hanging bantu knots. It comes out so pretty.

    I want to thank you for this video. Ever since I went natural I've had the toughest time getting my twist outs or braid outs to last and retain definition. I tried your method after watching your video and it is A M A Z I N G how much of a difference 3 strand twists make on my 4c hair. Thank you sis for sharing the knowledge because my hair came out looking how I've always been trying to get it to look (defined and fluffy without the frizz) you're a lifesaver 🌹

    So I stumble across your video day 3 of my twists being in. I just committed to taking care of my hair and making an effort. Who knew that I was making minor mistakes that were creating big issues like how I take down my twists. I still need a little more explanation on porosity and all that but my twist out legit looked 100000x better just by changing the take down! Thank you!!!

      The longer you leave the twist in...(4 days or longer with moose already applied on the Twist), the longer your twist-out will last. I don't recommend trying to achieve in one day,it won't work.

    Looking really good. I hardly tease my twisters like you did for volume but I find that when I do. The hair polisher used generously helps to banish the frizziness and allow the curls to stay soft, smooth and easy to separate.

    You know-I really appreciate your video about the twistouts! Your hair is beautiful,it long and gorgeous--oh my goodness it is well defined! My sister got me some Echo Styling Gel for my.twistouts, and I hope I see the results, There is a big difference in the coil of the hair at the ends versus the raggedy ends that cannot style the hair. That makes a lot of sense, which is why smaller twists is the starting point, unlike the bigger twists and I already have them. Thanks for your lovely video-it is educational!

      This is the best and easiest demonstration for flat twist on line. You are so lovely. However, due to my short hair, bobby pins instead of rollers work for me. My hair dries faster when i place the pins on the very end of the twist, roll the end up once and fasten with the same pin. The tight bobby pin keeps the little hanging portion of the twist thats not flat on my scalp from unraveling. Be sure to buy the good bobby pins with the special permanent coating that doesnt shed, flake off, stick you, or rust. I want to thank you for this video, i just love it. I get compliments on this style. For now I am so happy to have come across your video!!

    One thing I've noticed is that if you plan on leaving your twists in for longer before you take them down, do the twists on dry hair. I did my twists on dry hair (moisturizing with my styling cream/gel and sealing it in with Beezwax) and they lasted for two weeks before I took them down and had great definition for my twist-out! My hair was still soft and moisturized throughout the entire two weeks and I only re-moisturized with my leave in or some water three times during the entire two weeks! Next time I twist my hair, I'm definitely going to be using some your tips for an even more BOMB twist-in and twist-out!

    I've been using your twist out routine on myself and 3 of my granddaughters (ages 10,8, and 6) and we are enjoying our hairstyles immensely! I try to not manipulate their hair as much so they wear their twists for a week then I take it down and boy are they the most beautiful twists......I wish I knew how to post a pic with this comment...once I learn how I'll be sure to include it...THANKS for the info and keep up the good work #BEAUTYGANG

    Here's something that has helped me with my twistouts... when I get down to the bottom of a twist, I put the ends in a small hanging bantu knot - it ALWAYS comes out uniform and nice... so when you havent had a chance to trim, or your coils aren't quite curling right, that makes it always nice and curly at the ends. When you separate, you just slide the bantu knot down and unravel your twist... Hope this helps somebody, because I sure used/use it when needed!

    Beautiful results! I saw an earlier video where you didn't use any other product except the "Texture ID" styling creme. In this video you add other products to get the end result. Because of your "Text ID"video, I purchased the product with excitement that I'd be able to do my curls with a one-stop-shopping styling creme. Now I'm not so sure it'll be enough. Well, if the results are as good as yours, I'm willing to give it a try. Thanks again for another great tutorial video! Ms. ECstreet :)

      Cyrisse Owusu if you use proteins on your hair then that’s maybe why your hair is harder to maintain. Look at all the products you used and if they have any kind of protein steer clear. Even check your shampoos

      Work really hard at retaining moisture, Doll. Moisture is the key to soft, managebly healthy hair. Hope this helps.
      BTW, I'm really LOVING Camille Rose's Curl Milk. This week, it's the only product I'm using. (Aside from Jamaican Black Castor Oil and fresh aloe vera juice, from my plant, on my scalp.) 🌱

    • @makiyaholmes3950
      @makiyaholmes3950 5 років тому +6

      @@ladyd8028 I agree! I once thought I would never know how to do my own hair but I realized my process was so complicated because my hair was always dry/brittle. Detangling, styling, washing, etc., will always be difficult if you try to work with dry hair. I recommend looking into daily creams, oils, leave-ins, and water will always work!
