thank you for the detail about the upper bumper cover. I started taking the wheel well cover off and though no there is no way there is more to take off. I felt 2 bolts on the bracket, but since another video didn't say anything about it I was about to tug and probably break the bumper cover.
Do you know how to get to the fog lights? I'm trying to put HIDs in but with the denali's everything is so jam packed by the fog lights I can't easily access them from underneath.
Are you asking for a 2500 chrome front skid plate part number 23178964? If so, that insert may be the biggest bitch to replace on the front of the truck possible. Check the underside for the 24 bolts that hold on the air dam. Then know you will need to remove the grille, fender flares, front bumper, electrical for fog lights ect. Super disappointed in GM for having a crappy engineer who could design his /her way out of a box.
Thanks for going into detail on the bracket that holds the plastic upper bumper corners. Been feeling like I am going to break it when trying to get it loose.
Zeke, this video was taken because I was doing the fog lights also. I tried to take the hole light assembly out but it's was in there to well. If you search the fog lights you'll find a video were it shows you how to the the bulb out. But other than that u just have to fight it like i did. Sorry I wasn't much of a help on this one. It just sucks to do the fogs
Jacob, keep up the great work. Thank you so much for doing these 2 videos. You did a great job with both of them. Why? Oh! Why would GMC/GM design a truck that was so hard to change lamps on? Then not provide any guidance on how to do it. Not for you to answer but just asking what the heck? Censored! We have had a 2015 GMC Denali 2500HD Duramax since April 2014 which we have driven 57,000+ miles and pulled our 5th wheel 17,000+. I have hated the halogen headlamps and their awful beam pattern from the day we picked up the truck. Now I can't take it anymore. I'm changing to Philips new LED system. But couldn't figure out how to get to the headlamp and driving lamp assemblies. We love our truck. We hope you enjoy your truck as much as we do ours. Thanks again, David
I don't see any other way to get the grill out. There are bolts behind the under bumper piece you won't be able to get too. But that's just me, I don't know everything about this truck so keep looking. If you find another way I'd like you to replay a link.
+jacob bennett Thanks for the video though man. I installed a 30" light on my 15 all terrain 6.2L. I installed it behind the grill and it shines through the big slots in the AT grill. It works awesome Thanks for the help bud.
Great simple video. Easy to understand. Thanks
I have a qusrion? I have to remove my passenger fender on my 2015 gmc sierra what all do I have to take off in order to put my new one on?
Exellent video! i'm getting a truck like this, how do you like yours? could you comment on MPG you get?
I drive a large amount of highway but I drive pretty aggressive and still get 20-21 mpg
Any idea if the lower bumper can be removed without doing the upper bumper?
Honestly I'm not sure. But if I had to guess I would say no. Having the upper off would make getting to some of those bolts and wires way easier
+jacob bennett Roger that. Thanks.

hey man have you ever taken off the bumper grille insert?

Syxxes no problem. Glad it helped out
They will break. I had to take a bumper off a 2015 Suburban and broke both of them trying to get it off.
So what all size sockets you need for this job ?
I say it in the beginning of the video.
7mm 10mm 15 torx
+jacob bennett just making sure I heard right appreciate it
+Darius Watts no problem, hope the video helps
Codi, on a 2014 or 2015?
The bumper grill inserts were on the earlier models and I've never taken one out
how do you remove the plastic around the for light and the chrome piece on the bottom part?
Magi M
Huh? Lol
The plastic piece around on the fog lights on the bottom

I am looking to change the emblems on the front grill. Is my only option to remover the upper bumper? Has anyone changed them out before?

hey how do you remove the tow hooks having a hard time ..
So i have to remove the upper bumper valance to pull the grill. That sucks.
Yeah it does. Really poor design
