    Hey said I’d be bk lol! Saw a remark of a new sewer. Welcome newbie. This will be the best hobby, job etc. that you can learn to do. I started sewing when I was 8 yrs old, w/ my mom who could sew a bit & gramma’s that sewed well. I new I loved it. I was making doll & crafts as a kid. But later for myself & family. Several yrs passed before I got a nice machine … almost $300. … a lot of money bk then. I still have it by the way. An wish my other machines only cost that much, right!! I’m self taught … a seamstress now of 50+ yrs. Back then googling “how too” didn’t exit. You can learn so much from diy videos. This one isn’t as much on sewing but the tips are great & can make sewing easier. Believe me there are times when the “right” glue will save a project, make it easier & control how much time & money you spend. Glues, cement, etc. are to expensive to just “by & try”. And the wrong one (always try on a scrap 1st) can damage or ruin your project. And yes w/ all my experience this video was very helpful!! ❤ Thank you Judy

    I tried the E6000
    glue recently for the first time to fix a woven bracelet for the threads to not fall apart and it just stuck there. It’s a transparent and flexible enough so it won’t get brittle or peel off. Definitely a game changer.

      Thanks for this idea. I have E6000, but never thought of doing that for bracelets.

    I use Elmer’s washable glue. It holds great temporarily, enough while I sew. Comes out in the wash. It’s my favorite.

    E6000 sounds perfect for my little project of gluing a GRATEFUL DEAD emblem (it's sort of rubbery)cut from a T-shirt (too small) onto the back of a denim jacket.

    I really like the uses for E6000 you showed. Never wd gsve thought of that. But are the E6000 and the glue tape stiff and hard left in the clothing? Guess I will have to make a sample using them and find out, huh? An excellent video, thank you for not telling us all about your purchasing experiences. You explained, semi demonstrated, showed us the product and where we could puechase.

    What brand of glue stick do you use? I’ve tried the trick with the zipper, but the glue stick won’t keep it in place. Also, can you suggest some non-toxic spray adhesive? Most of the ones I’ve seen are toxic and I’m a little chemically sensitive. I really love your idea about the glue tape. A friend gave me some once and I thought I’d never use it. Eventually I did, but I didn’t now there were so many other things I could use it for!

    I tried to affix brackets to the wall to hang a curtain rod... Using E6000 LOL I didn’t have the stamina to hold the bracket against the wall while the glue dried,
    however.

    • @jojosewist8921
      @jojosewist8921 4 роки тому +2

      Tape it in the meantime. Use, a good painters tape, that will release from the wall. That will hold it until the glue dries. Hope you have some on hand. Btw, thats a nifty idea to glue the bracket on.
