Seeing his enthusiasm and excitement turn to salty bitterness is painful and hilarious
Really exposes a fundamental error in Namco's understanding of the game. The wall stagger isn't supposed to be a buff. It's supposed to be a NERF. It should have been used to weaken certain moves that are cheap wall splats, like Heihachi 112 or Lidia's political storm. Instead, Namco treated it like the wall bounce...granting the property to certain (often useless) moves. The result is the comedy you see here.
isn't that what they did with Bob and Maven? they fucked up bob's uf1+2, 4 and Maven's BT 1+2
@@vegaspony I think they removed the wall splat for certain moves entirely. They should've just replaced them with wall stagger. It would make total sense if they implemented the stagger as less powerful alternative for easy wall splats. This patch has laziness written all over it.
They actually did use it to mostly nerf movies. Jin, Raven, Geese, Devil Jin, Leroy, Fahk, Feng, Lidia, etc. all had moves nerfed by adding wall crush to them.
Only like a dozen or less characters got a wall crush that’s actually usable *and* didn’t nerf the move it was added to.
That's literally how they used it for a lot of characters, lol.
the balance team really has no creativity and im kind of worried for tekekn 8 in terms of gameplay, all they know how to do is add a mid HIGH move to a mid mid move, or make more 50/50's....literally that's all they've been doing for the past 2-3 season, really really sad
Could see the frustration that he will have to compete with this 'patch' for the foreseeable future.
As a casual it sucks, but for top players its pain. Hopefully we see him spam FF3 next tournament with drag in the corner lol
At least the top tier characters got nerfed. But in true Namco fashion, they went way overboard.

Hopefully they learned their lesson with Akuma for tekken 8, never take a guest character if the deal involves you being unable to nerf him
I think Online is still the same and the moves make not much of a difference to me as well. Time to they fix this Alt F4 Tab crashing the game problem.
Try turing the v-sync off in game settings, that thing doesn't happen to me since I did (for whatever reason)
@@folivora6628 It does for me with v-sync off. Only way to avoid it is to run the game in “borderless mode”. But then Windows will force v-sync any way.
Man I haven’t touched tekken on pc in like two years and the fact that they STILL didn’t fix the alt tab crash is fucking idiotic.
I love tekken but my god does tekken/the dev’s make it so hard to like tekken.

At least some busted chars were brought down, so the chars which weren't buffed are at a better place now.

Very strange patch, the "new tactics" are a joke and the bad characters have barely been touched at all. I play Miguel and my new move property is on charge SAV1+2... a 42 frame mid, lmao
That's way worse than Lars who got a "buff" in the patch trailer no-less to his slow 21 frame b(1+2). Funny thing thing is Leo got ALL the frame buff'a which alot of characters needed.
As a Yoshimitsu main I'm very happy with the buffs
chloe got some insane buffs tho so im prety happy with that, cali roll going from -8 to +11 is kinda nuts

@@aren5900 There's a reason why despite being good Leo isn't being played by a lot of top players. Despite having similar yet different style of Kenpo to Feng, her's is far more predictable. Some korean players even dare say that in korea she's pretty much "solved".

JDCR was me when I saw Lars only had 2 garbage changes.
All of Lars neutral moves are too slow/low damage to be used. Leo stole all of Lars buffed frames. If they would only just make Lars b2 from i16 to i14 he could use those strings in neutral and if the wanted to add a CH move add it to Lars ss2 which looks like it should float on CH... I wonder if the tekken devs know what they are doing sometimes, or just experimenting with new beta tweaks for Tekken 8.

I was thinking the same thing about Hwoa's. This -13f move is what they gave the new tactic to? It's a risky move only to be used when you are sure it will hit and even then its damage is weak and what you get with the tactic is 50-50? It's like... take risks to get subpar benefits.

After this patch, I'm no longer hyped about Tekken 8. I guarantee they'll make the same mistakes they made with Tekken 7, and it'll probably be even worse this time. It's a shame Tekken is not managed by a team that knows what the hell they're doing. The series could be so much bigger if they just made any good decisions ever.

As a Hwo main, the uf3+4,4 move is now even more useless as a punish in the open. It pushes back opponent even more than previous version, so you can't do any mixup eventhough you have + frames. None of Hwo's moves will reach without a crouch dash, but if you do CD then you lose the + frames. Who the fuck at bamco thought this was a good idea?
