Mt Galbraih up Nightbird Trail is fantastic ...about 4.5 miles 360 loop from the Housing Area near Iowa and Hwy 93 great views of North and South Table Mts
You should also try From Wrigley Field Sports Bar parking Lot go up the hill which is Tin Cup Sports Fueld and go SouthWest to the ridge paralleling hwy 40 west Colfax...It s The Stegosaurus Trail and runs maybe 2 miles to the Stegosaurus parking lot on hwy 40 across from the Motor Cycle shop....walk maybe 1/2 mile up to Dakota Ridge Trail all the way up along hwy 40 till you get to West Alameda and go left to dinosaur footprints then go right, back on Dinosaur Ridge tail and across to Hogback Rd and over to Matthew Winters park and up the Slide trail to top then at top go back the way you came about 10 or 12 mile round trip and eat at Wrigleys
Checked out Chavez Beaver Brook and Mt Morrison after seeing this video. Enjoyed them both. Liked Morrison a lot. Great view along a short and steep hike, with solid scramble near top
I did a video of the Chavez - Beaver loop on my personal UA-cam channel. What a good trail. It did kick my newbie butt, lol, but the changes in terrain and scenery is wonderful. I tried real hard to show the different changes and… lol, my struggles😁
Nice video! I had a feeling Mt. Morrison would be #1, such a good one. Just don't do it on a summer afternoon- it attracts lightning like nothing else around! Favorite winter trails for hiking nearby would be Roxborough State Park or South Valley (they both get a ton of sun and stay pretty clear all year), and favorite summer trails nearby would be Alderfer/Three Sisters. That one can get pretty packed now though so if it's a weekend or mid-morning I'll go to the quieter Flying J Ranch instead. So many great options!
Didn't know that about the lightning on Morrison good to know :) Thanks for the suggestions ellementira, Emily and I love Roxborough State Park as well, need to get out to Three Sisters this winter.
Thank you for these suggestions
Great video Dave! Moving to the area next month and I’ll be trying out some of these hikes
Thanks Arthur!
Try Mt Galbraith from the housing area up Nightbird Gulch
Hope you enjoy Denver.
Thanks for doing the reviews, good information for those that travel there!
Thanks for checking it out Lauren :)

Hey thank you for the suggestions!!
Great video, Thanks for the tips!!
I usually head to Boulder for a quick hike close to home. South Boulder peak offers a great workout without the crowd at Bear Peak
Nice, I still need to do South Boulder peak :) Thanks for the heads up
