    The one thing I have learned is that everyone out there wants to get the money that is kept in your pocket, some ethically or unethically. Be very very careful of where you are spending your money. I think that real estate is not for everyone. I am fine with doing SIPs in index funds. Can live on rent in a good apartment.

    Thank you Krisharaj ji.
    One thing that helps me as a customer when buying a product/service is the deep realisation of the fact I own the money and so I am the boss. Sales folks have to do a lot of hard work to get that money from my bank account to theirs.
    One more thing that helps is to when making big purchase is, if we are in showroom or sales office, make sure to take a break on the pretext of a phone call/going to washroom etc in midst of the discussion with the sales guy. This way, we can give ourself time to think and not get into a zone that the sales folks are dragging us into
