I think you would really enjoy their song Dead Boy’s Poem live from Buenos Aires…it’s a bit softer and has, of course, beautiful vocals from Floor.

I second Buenos Aires and definitely "Dead Boy's Poem" and also "I Wan't My Tears Back!" Argentinian audience is marvelous! Especially in "I Wan't My Tears Back!" one can see how they all are on her palm😁

Most fantastic woman to front a metal band.
I just came back to Germany... after a weekend in Finland- Nightwish had their first 2 shows with the full setlist of their Human Nature world tour in Helsinki and Tampere. Finally they could kick of their show after that hard time.
Storytime was part of the setlist- and she did it so great- again ❤🔥🥺 I am still blown away and very tired ^^ I need a rehab ^^ (in Tampere she was fighting with an flue- still she kicked ass ^^)
Floor is a voice coach as well that's why she can sing so well. Plus she's been a frontwoman for a metal band for 25 years now. She started to sing with After Forever at the age of 16.
I love how she made it her own by doing the operatic part at the 2/3 into the song n the belting at the end which Anette doesn't do in the original
Winner and Shallow on Beste Zangers is great.

Yes, she's very beautiful both *inside* and out! (And tall!!!!) That's why we in the NW Army refer to her by soooo many names (Valkyrie, goddess, etc.)
Floor has her own channel, you should definitely check that out...the Community section as much as the videos. She *really* cares about her fans, sharing some of her life and more. Floor is the whole package.
We're very lucky that such an amazing woman exists as such a kind and humble person.

She did this song in consert yesterday here in Helsinki, Finland. She was still as impressive as here almost 10 years later.
I got to see her almost from the first row. She loved it up there. Nightwish is the live band I have ever seen. ❤️🇫🇮

Great Reaction! If you want to hear Floor in a setting where you can concentrate on her voice, react to Nightwish "How's the Heart" acoustic, or if you would like to hear Floor sing the main song from the Musical "Phantom of the Opera," you can react to that also. She did a TV show in 2019 called Beste Zangers and did the duet with a man that played the Phantom in the Netherlands.
As beautiful as Floor is on the outside, the more you get to know her story you realize it's her internal beauty that shines through. Yes, a 6ft Valkeryie Goddess, in every way OMFG, but I've seen her soul/spirit on display in the saddest and happiest moments. In her and people like her there is something unexplainable to a logical, science base person such as myself. Spiritual, which is as far from logical/science-based as one can get.
I was sitting here at my computer with the first cup of coffee for the day .. and what do I see .. Emma's lovely self watching Storytime. WHat Storm Watchman said .. "... great way to start a day!"

Floor was a very experienced touring heavy metal singer and vocal coach before she joined Nightwish.
So she has pretty extreme conditioning, and it's why she is note-perfect every night. She's like a tank.
You might like"Epica" as well....with Simone Simons
Or Cammie from Oceans of Slumber. There some really really good clean female vocalists out there in metal. Eventually she has to try Arch Enemy and the like but not yet.

Hi you lovely lady , Nightwish have many very beautiful songs , but Tuomas Holopainen has also made a solo album ( Music Inspired by the Life and Times of Scrooge) - And there is one song " The Last Sled ( official video )" performing by Johanna Kurkela who is also wife of Tuomas Holopainen. Very beautiful song and it's worth to listening .
My beautiful friend as Floor is Dutch the J in her name sounds as a y so it is pronounced Yansen , love your reactions keep Nightwish coming they will never disappoint

The Choir is London's Metro Voices and Childrens' choir is the London Young Musicians' Childrens' Choir, with the orchestral parts recorded by the London Philharmonic Orchestra, all to Tuomas' score. The thing that always astounds me about this particular song is Floor's impeccable diction. Who needs lyrics?

This is one of my very favorite songs by Nightwish! I just can't imagine singing in front of over 82,000 fans! I know Floor is about 6 feet or 6 feet 1 inch...so yes....she is like a goddess singing up there...so tall and beautiful!

There are a lot of singers and also very good singers in this world. But this lady "Floor Jansen" is one of another planet. Multi language, Rock , Poppie, Opera even growling. She can do it all on a very high level. Yes she is not the best opera singer, but she can sing opera very well, she is not the best in growling, but she can growl good etc etc.
I lOVE that breakdown and that Operatic part! Plus those ending belts!!!

FYI... when you decide to react to The Greatest Show on Earth or The Poet and the Pendulum ... just be sure to do some research on those songs so you understand what those 2 songs are about. For those 2 songs it will really help you to appreciate the music and lyrics.
If you want to hear Marko doing more singing... High Hopes (which is a Pink Floyd cover/tribute) and The Islander. On both those songs it's Marko in the lead.
I think it's time to jump even further down the rabbit hole of symphonic metal and give Epica a listen. Most would probably go with their duets with Floor, Sancta Terra or Stabat Mater, which are excellent songs, but I would propose either Storm the Sorrow, Consign to Oblivion or Rivers.

It's hard to have a favorite Nightwish video and song. I have to say though, if I could only have one Nightwish video and song, Storytime (Wacken2013) would be it. Floor's solo stuff Energize Me and Face Your Demons live from Amsterdam are superb also.

On this concert you can see Floor to really enjoy singing with Nightwish. Her dream had come true. She was introduced in the begining of the concert as a new leading singer of NW. She had been with them less than a year. How they found her, please check out the video "Please learn the setlist in 48 hours". I have some info on Floor Jansen for you here.
She is married to Hannes Van Dahl, drummer of the Swedish power metal band Sabaton. Together they have a daughter. ( Freja )
Floor Jansen is a soprano, with a range of more than 4 octaves (Eb2 to F6). Re-singing style ranges from opera to screams and grunts. She usually sings in English, in addition she has also sung songs in Dutch, German, Spanish, Finnish, Latin, Italian and Swedish.
Jansen was the singer of the Dutch metal band After Forever from 1997 to early 2009. From 1999 she studied at the Rockacademie in Tilburg with classmates Jacqueline Govaert and Danny Vera, where she graduated in 2003. In addition to her activities at After Forever, she gave singing lessons. She plays guitar, piano and flute. On May 5, 2010, she presented her new band ReVamp, which was disbanded in September 2016.
From 1 October 2012 Jansen replaced Anette Olzon as singer of Nightwish during the Imaginaerum World Tour. On October 9, 2013, it was announced that she would be the group's regular new front singer. In 2015, Nightwish released the album Endless Forms Most Beautiful with Jansen as lead singer. Nightwish's second studio album with Jansen as front singer, Human. :II: Nature., was released in April 2020.

If you (as a vocal coach) would like to hear Floor’s “naked” voice, you should try het covers of Shallow (by Lady Gaga) or Alone (by Heart).. In those covers she sings with very minimal instrumental guidance, which really let’s you feel the emotions she portrays in those songs..
