Golden Lady has been my favorite song of the summer, and I wouldn’t have learned it on piano without your amazing tutorial. Thanks so much for uploading this!
Great resource ! I've been transcribing your arrangements for piano onto guitar. The pacing, accuracy and clarity of your tutorials is perfect and it's always a pleasure to hear you play and sing.
Man, you’re really something else! No doubt the coolest and number one piano teacher on youtube! Please do not stop uploading your fantastic tutorials!
Dude! You're killing me. I love your tutorials and the accompanying concerts, but they are screwing up my practice sessions. While I'm right in the middle of trying to master one of your tutorials you either drop a new one or I run across an old one that I just can't leave alone! And to make it worse, each one that I get distracted by is one of my favorite songs! You're killing me...but I love it. And...I'm learning way more than I thought I would be focusing on one song because now I'm starting to recognize the progression patterns. You're amazing. Thanks again.
This is the first music I remember as a child. My mother used to play Stevie's Innervisions album when I was a toddler child. I rediscovered it when I was about 8 or 9 and sang along with it every day for months. The lyrics were printed on the record sleeve, so I knew every verse to every song.
getting into piano, properley, like theory and everything, and although i could just look at some chord chart, this teaches me more about inner movements and voicings, thanks
Thank you so much for this tutorial. : ) You are a wonderful teacher. I absolutely love Stevie Wonder and this song, and your lessons are wonderful. You play beautifully. Thank you again. : )
Karl, I love you tutorials, as as artist & teacher. Thank you! Got a question. It’s easy for me to figure out the melody to songs I know but, how do you figure out the chords! Help!!! 🙏🏽
Thank you so much for watching. I will say that for me the bass is the key. If I can figure out the bass note then I can start narrowing down the chords that go with that bass note in relation to whatever song I’m studying. The more songs you learn the more you will start to see familiar chords and chord progressions. Learn and memorize all your dominant, major and minor chords in each key then your sevenths and ninths and elevenths and so on. The root is the key. Hope this helps 🙏🏾
3:20 Are you sure he resolves the G to the F#? That era loved to keep that sus sound and stay on that G... And the G stays in the organ as the melody note...
Me and my two year olds favorite song. When he hears me playing it he will freak out. Thank you!! Love these tutorials

Hi. What key is this in? Thanks.
E flat major
1:16
3:20 Are you sure he resolves the G to the F#? That era loved to keep that sus sound and stay on that G... And the G stays in the organ as the melody note...
I’m not sure which part you are referring to. The time stamp doesn’t shit a G resolving to an F#
Does anyone know what key this is in?
E flat major
I would love to see you do Usher ft Pharrell "Wifey".. incredible chords in that song!!
