    I bought my 1970 Mercury Cyclone GT in 1979. Still have it to this day in 2024. Love that car.

      That is SO cool! Wish we still had the cars we bought back in the day! We'd need a very big garage though! Thanks for watching!

    I looked to buy a 71 Cyclone with the 351C 4V and 4 speed. It was the most gorgeous, tire-shredding machine! What a thrill to just test drive! My money wasn't right @ the time, but it'll always be one of my dream cars

    Quick question, as you seem very knowledgeable; is there a 60's era 2 door hardtop mercury chassis that will house a big six (ford 240/300)? i know the 240 was issued in ford's car offerings of the time and i was wondering about unibody design and the crossover if any.

      Well, that question requires some thought and a much longer answer. Please email Tom at ifthiscarcouldtalk@gmail.com and I'm happy to give you my thoughts and information. Thanks so much for watching and welcome to the ITCCT family!

    I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT GT STRIPES ARE BUT WHAT ARE RALLY STRIPES? NEVER HEARD OF A CYCLONE RALLY. PLAIN CYCLONE DIDN'T HAVE THE GT STRIPES.

    • @IfThisCarCouldTalk
      @IfThisCarCouldTalk  Рік тому

      By the late 1960's, stripes on muscle car were very popular and some strips were available on non-muscle cars. In the case of the Montego/Cyclone some Cyclone models got the lower rocker panel stripe and it was offered on other non-Cyclone models as an option and is sometimes referred to as a Rally Stripe. Thanks for watching George! Great question too!

      @@IfThisCarCouldTalk THAT LOWER STRIPE HAD A SPACE FOR THE GT EMBLEM HENCE "GT" STRIPE. MY 66 CYCLONE GT CONVERTABLE HAD THEM AS WELL AS MY 67 MUSTANG GT. RALLY IS USUALLY A GM REFERENCE WHILE "GT", "C", AND "LASER" STRIPES ARE TYPICALLY FORD. THERE WAS A 79 UP CAPRI RS MODEL BUT I9 DON'T RECALL ANY STRIPE KIT ASSOCIATED WITH THAT RS MODEL. I COULD BE WRONG.

      1964 1/2 TO 66 MUSTANGS HAD A RALLY PACK OPTION THAT WERE GUAGES MOUNTED ON THE STEERING COLUMN.

    That was when you could buy a real car and get what you paid for they are worth the money most all brands now are junk not worth the price
