Little Woman, the book, is a Classic & definitely one of my favs. I have seen almost all movie, mini series, drama version of it. Jo is my fav character in this story. The Korean version is a very different ball game. There is almost no similarity other than social class and very loose character attributes of the 3 sisters. However, I am loving this Korean drama. it's actually quite a dark, the complete opposite of the original story, but somehow has got me hooked. I cannot compare the 2 as both are very different.
I am a great fan of the novel and have seen all the screen adaptations. The K-Drama was more thriller than coming of age story. Also, in the novel Amy does ultimately marry Laurie because she loves him. She could have married Fred Vaughn, who was more wealthy. If she'd married Fred, she would have been marrying for money, not love. However, love won out.
As in "loving her sisters" to me" in hye doesn't care much about them, always showing indifference towards them and treating them badly...like In jo and In Kyung weren't even her sisters Sorry if this is a spoiler
They only used the title. However, it is a brilliant Korean Drama.
Its much more similar to the japanese manga/anime Cat's Eye
Agree.
I think they used the characters and modernized the themes but the plot is original.

I waited someone to do this comparison 👍👍👍👍👍. Amazing job ❤️❤️
I am enjoying this drama. Can’t wait to see it each week. What is going to happen ?
I am more interested in WHAT are the similarities. 😂
I love the book, and love the 1994 version and the 2019 version. I really enjoyed the Korean drama, very good.
Read the book and seen the movies, but haven't watched this kdrama of the same title. I feel a bit conflicted, but is it good overall?
Yes
Watch the drama too, it's worth all the effort...you won't regret it!
The drama is great but don't expect it to be very similar to the book.
This is one of the best shows I've watched. The actors are stellar
loving the drama !

Sorry if this is a spoiler
Actually, there are 2 adaptations set in modern times. One was done in 2012 and the other in 2018.
Amy doesn't marry out of love?!?!!?
I prefer the kdrama
well nothing matches, its just the name.
Love the drama, but even saying it's based on Alcott's novel feels wrong
Especially since her novel was based on her family life and the book is described as semi autobiographic.
I want to see this💜💜
It is sooo good
Go, this kdrama is so good
I absolutely love the show 💕😊
The Kdrama is nothing similar to the original. Why even bother name it little women then?
The difference is does her family get royalty benefits?
the korean version better
