    This was an A+ video. Thank you for making it! I like how you gave your own example, weaving in what happened with your guppy and then plant business. It's so useful to hear about real-world scenarios as opposed to parroted platitudes.

      +Ashley Jaden Thanks Ashley! :) Yes, I know what you mean. I remember reading a bunch of textbooks back in school where they give examples that just confuses more than it clarifies!!

    Build, measure, learn--I noticed this idea from past experiences, but didn't have this clear of a way to explain it to others.

  • @shrestharicky
    @shrestharicky 8 років тому +1

    great story! Thank you for sharing. Just a random question in mind.. When do you think a start up company is not called a start up anymore? Is it when the company is well established in some years and in its maturity stage? Or is it if a company has a fixed product line and process of running business? Or is it something else?

    • @LearningREADefined
      @LearningREADefined  8 років тому +1

      Hmm, great question. A hard one. I think the definition of a startup is different for different people. But a lot of business strategies work the same way for both cases. An established company will still benefit from the "build measure learn" for example, but it has more resources to do it at a larger scale, or to do it quicker.
      But yeah, I'm stumped, I don't know the difference between a startup and an established business :p
      and Welcome to the channel!! :) -jason

    hey sir, i want to say first at all that ur staff are amazing and teach us incroyable things. keep get better you are the best with fight mediocrity too. i watch all videos and learn many things from it. but i have question i would like to answer it for me ,that how i can keep all that informations from books without forget it. and what is the best way to make it stuck in my head ? and again u r the best )

    • @LearningREADefined
      @LearningREADefined  8 років тому +1

      +hatem abid Hey hatem! Thanks, it means a lot to me knowing people enjoy my videos, especially so much that they leave comments :D
      Honestly, I forget a lot of the books I read. The "best way" to remember is to use more than one of our senses while reading, and repetition. So you can read out loud so that you can hear the words as well. Notes would help too, if you take down the important points.
      One of the most "practical ways" is to probably involve your life with your reading material. For example, if you're a personal trainer and you read books on fitness, you can constantly repeat the information you learned in your every day routine.
      As a side note, that's why I enjoy reading self-development books as much as business books, because once we learn something, we can apply it to our daily lives, get into the habit of it, and remember it for a long time. But honestly, every time I decide to re-read a book, I learn a lot from it.. (probably more than the first time because not only do I remember all the concepts again, I actually understand it better the second time around).
      But yeah, thanks again for your lovely comment :p -Jason

    Hello @Learningreadefined
    i am your Long Time Subscriber and have Seen all your Videos its great, and
    i Have Got an Good Idea to Make an Application For Android and IOS Users,
    And it will Directly Effect on our Environment and Eco System, But i don't Know what should be my First Step,
    I have Written All The Informations and Features of my App.

    • @LearningREADefined
      @LearningREADefined  8 років тому

      Hey photoshop retouching :) Thanks, I'm glad you enjoy my content!
      I would think of a way to test the market of the app without creating the app. That way, you can make tweaks and improvements without having to redo the whole thing. At that point, you might even have a better idea.
      As for the fear of letting the public know the app before it's made goes. It doesn't matter if they know because they won't be as determined as you are to make the idea come to life. If that is a concern, you can always do some research on patenting.
