So great tips , I love the option of black out curtains and sheer but I have have severe migraines and and I need my room dark to help with that, I love the feather pillows makes the bed feel more luxurious

Die to our current "energy emergency" you might try a slightly more expensive fabric blind to cover the glass & then a room darkening, draft blocking, curtain that covers as much of the window space as possible. It really warm up the room & cuts down on noise.

Another great video! I dont like matchy matchy furniture. I prefer pieces to coordinate opposed to being a set. I purchased a new bed, linen bench, a throw and bedding and it really makes a difference. Its a nice, clean relaxing retreat and compliments the rest of my home.

Good Vid. Lots of helpful information. The Mirror removal resonates with me, as well as the rug under the bed. My floors are basically chocolate wood. Do not like carpeting throughout the house.

Absolutely love your channel. We recently moved into our home and I am having such a hard time making the style look cohesive. Do you by chance have video based on area rugs? I tried searching and did not find one.
I would love to do all of these things that you said in the video, but my room is very small, so I don’t have enough space to do the things. 😭
I was excited about the matchy-matchy tips you were gonna give ....but the only one I saw/heard was to take the mirror off to put stuff on the wall like a smaller mirror. But then I heard you talk about night stands. My husband and I are currently using those shelves you put the "cloth drawers" in. We have -2 space units and we put one cloth drawer in each. I thought it was a good idea at first. Now I just think they look cheap and "college dorm-like). Any inexpensive suggestions? We are on a super tight budget.

I would like to see some ideas for a bedroom for a person with mobility issues. For instance, I cannot have a rug, because it is a trip hazard. I have tried taping down rugs, but it is not a good long term solution. I was thinking about painting my bedroom floor with a faux rug, but that would be tricky, because it would be hard to change out. A second issue is I need to have the side of the bed against the wall, so it does not slide when I get in and out of bed. Similar problem with chairs. How can I make my room beautiful with these challenges? Can you help?
I’d love to have this but Lilysilk iS too expensive for my budget! I do have 4 Mulberry silk pillowcases but not from Lilysilk & they’re not satin! They are Mulberry silk…just not from the over-priced brand Lilysilk!

I would love to create symmetry in my bedroom but it's so hard! Just a weird shaped room.
Maybe you can create symmetry with color? Like, if you have a splash of yellow in your rug than you can use that same color on a throw pillow and then maybe again with a few sprigs in a fresh floral arrangement on top of a side table...

@@KayleeJump I learned how to initially put the sheets on my bed in a way they stick to my duvet and making my bed has become as simple as pulling the side I slept on. When it's just me, easy peasy.
My problem is when my husband is home he sleeps in later than me and he likes to just hang out in bed under the covers when he reads later in the day, or if he has to so training. Instead of using the throw I have on the bed!!!
I have personally found thst the prettier the bedding. The more excited I get to make my bed XD lol. Like painting my room with non paint
I'm surprised I was already doing a couple of these things just because I was sick of the bedroom mirror and added an old room area rug over carpet we had in another bedroom, even though I was told not to add an area rug over carpet. Sometimes you just have to do what makes YOU feel good & forget about what other people say. I absolutely love watching your segments. Thank You!

Lily silk Lol, I'll stick with Primark or Aldi, homesense, Wilko they do inexpensive luxurious bedding without breaking the bank. I'll be taking the furniture idea I thought it wiser not to much everything in one room.
I have cream colored cotton sheers behind my curtains...I love that I can open my curtains to let light in without anyone being able to c in
I like the idea of not having matching furniture and removing the made-for-mirror from the dresser and hanging something more decorative. Beautiful!

Ok the mirror to my dresser is soon to be gone, lol. Never thought of this. I loved the look of a large round mirror instead. Also I have a brass bed with footboard. I see it is outdated. Upholstered head board, no footboard coming up.....
One quick question, what are you supposed to do with all those pillows at night? Sorry, I like a few but not as many as shown. Just me I guess.

My husband and I have slept using mulberry silk pillowcases for about 5 years now and they are fantastic as any facial serums you use do not transfer onto them, keeping your skincare on your face when you sleep🙂

I do agree that your ideas did make the rooms look more expensive. The reason is because they were expensive. The only idea that helped me was shopping your home for items to use.

I also have no headboard. I made the wall behind my bed the most beautiful accent color.
I had no headboard for awhile! I just used oversized pillows to act as a headboard.
I bought stick on tiles and created a headboard

Great tips, I have bought items that will be symmetrical so that’s great. Also, great to know rugs on carpets are ok to use as I wasn’t too sure.

I don’t get this obsession with “looking expensive”. A lot of expensive things look like crap. A lot of expensive things *are* crap. And trying to make it appear to others as if I spent a lot of money on something is such a shallow endeavor. Am I decorating simply to impress people? How about learning to make my home practical, comfortable, beautiful, and reflective of my personality? How about balance and scale? I don’t care about my rugs looking like I spent more on them than I did. I just want them to be beautiful (to me), easy to clean and care for, functional, and feel good under my feet. 👣

Sorry but I love mirrors. When I was moving my brother broke my 500 dollar mirror I ended up going to home depot and buying 2 2 x4 mirrors . I put an edge on them and then put a crucifix in the middle. So much cheaper and it's decorative.and makes the room look bigger.

My bedsheets are from Bassetti and cost 140€. They are bright and colorful and made in Italy. I would buy them again any time, as I like to have bedsheets that brighten the room.

How does Mulberry silk differ from regular silk? Silkworms only make silk from mulberry leaves. Anything else is not made by silkworms and is not silk.
