Great work on the low profile mounting of the Eprom. Also, a nice compact way of adding Dip switches to a chip. Solid work.

Glad you enjoyed it. I am really into these ROMs right now. I'd like to have one with a larger number of ROM Pak images available. I have a second stacked ROM that contains the RAM Test program by Denis Bisson. That is a real trick for diagnosing RAM problems. I think there could be more done with diagnostics in one of these.

Hows anybody supposed to get any sleep with you posting so late at night. Just kidding. Nice video, thanks 😀

Great video! I’ve once made a stacked socket adapter to fix the ROM in my friend’s 1541. I happen also to have a small, thin PCB that would adapt a 28-pin IC to 24-pin. I would need to figure out suitable pins or sockets for that, though.

Very cool! I wondered about the availability of such a board. Do you think it would work for these low-profile needs? Comment back if you get around to working out the pins with it. Thanks.

Good to hear. I'm still using it and have another one with a RAM Test program. These work out great and are not too much of a pain to force the need of a dedicated pcb. I want to do another project as a simple way to enhance an existing ROM Pak with 64 ROM banks. Thanks for your view!

Nice, good idea. What is your source for those 8 pin flash parts?

Your HDBDOS version is ancient. 1.4 or 1.5 should be easily available

Thank you for your feedback Mikey. I bet there are newer versions than the 1.1 I'm using. I had the impression however that 1.2 and newer were created to support CocoSDC and emulators. All of the documentation I could find on DriveWire3 for real HW (non-emulator) led me to the version I am using.
