Sa case ko po nasa EU po ako ngayon pero may SSS po ako at hanggang ngayon nagbabayad pa din po ako ng contribution ko through remittances. At balak ko din po na mag retire sa Pinas, Di po ba ito magkakaroon ng problema, kasi may state/old pension din po ang bansa kung saan po ako kasalukuyang naninirahan.Salamat po sa inyong walang sawang pagshare ng knowledge tungkol sa batas at iba pa. Hello po Attorney! Dati po akong merchant marine officer ng mahabang panahon at nakapag-migrate sa US . Na-acquire ko po ang aking US citizenship two years ago. Upon checking online at SSS website I learned that I already have a total of 207 contributions. Ang tanong ko kung puede ko pang ma-claim ang SSS pension or retirement benefits at saan puede po ako makapag-file considering I am residing in the US for good. I am now 65 years old and hoping to hear from you soon.

According to UP, one of the main concerns of migrant workers in Italy is that although they are covered by ltalian labor laws, they are, however, deprived of full social security benefits upon their retirement. go to ur nearest philippine consulate and inquire they have a SSS office then pay at PNB ur dues. upon retirement you collect what u paid into

I think if you paid into social security wherever you are in the world you will collect when the time comes, retirement age. Philippine embassies in the USA have allocated a small office for SSS, I imagine it's the same in canada, australia wherever.. I only learned about it so I went to speak to them and they sent me to PNB to pay my fee, ur choice if u want to pay monthly or 1X yearly.
Yes. Even in countries with whom the Philippines has no SSA, you may still continue with your SSS contribution and claim your SSS benefits. I discussed that in this video -

Filipinos don't qualify for Social Security because of a green card, those people qualify for Supplemental Security Income. :(
